I guess it's a twofold problem:
  • Adam adapted to the "nowadays" culture, so he's a man who keeps himself up to date;
  • He's supposed to be "the Adam" at the same time not exactly.
So you are right. For example, in Isaiah's time, around 8th century BC - where he spoke of the Assyrian and even the Babylonian conquests before the latter would happen, being a bondman was considered something normal. Being a faggot (both in the literal and the figurative sense) wasn't, yet there were the sodomites/manwhores which made cult to the idol Asherah (the same who has the name "grove" in King James Bible), alongside other prostitutes/"priestess".

This is why I believe a "Hazbin prequel" would really shine, seeing Hell as a 7th to 4th century BC location and how it would be, with the "party places" really being "temples" dedicated to the seven deadly sins, different designs (Mammon being someone who would wear gold silk instead of green, and toss gold coins to beggars who would make him laugh - his ring would be full of assassins and have daily skirmishes with warbands and such).

So another panel has come around. Most of the stuff from it is unimportant or "who cares", like what kind of tattoos would the characters get or that Adam and Lute are both bi. The real interesting thing is the fact that there is apparently a purgatory in this universe. That in itself brings up a lot of questions, but I doubt the show is going to answer them because I have a feeling purgatory will never be touched upon on. Making this lore drop also completely pointless.
 
I feel bad for Christian fan artists who dedicate so much time to great redesigns, as we all know Viv hates them...though many of them are objectively more talented. It's like giving a handmade sweater to a junkie that'll just rip it up in a drug-induced psychosis. No flattery or thankfulness at all.

Just post it her anonymously so Viv and co can seethe.

It's a thankless job, but we must remember there are other lolcows who are known to do this. Andreas Ronnberg, of Afraid of Monsters, also did this to someone who did a pretty cool thing to someone who modelled both David Leatherhoff & Simon Henriksen (protagonists of Ronnberg's flagship mods Afraid of Monsters and Cry of Fear, respectively).

Someone said earlier in the thread that making the characters true to their time of life would have massively improved the show. They should use slang from their era and talk in the way of the time. Maybe not like 100% but there was probably a middle ground for this idea that would have been amazing. Think pilot alastor but done for everyone.

In the case of heaven viv basically made everyone a soyboy faggot because making heaven cool would not be hip with the r/atheism crowd. I find this especially annoying because viv has the ability to make nice heaven things. The church featured in the Live to Live scene is legitimately fantastic. I would go as far as to say it is better designed than most christian churches and a large majority of catholic churches. Maybe not "correct" according what I think a church should look like but it sure beats out the churches in my local area.

I think sera and emily both work pretty good for heaven characters. Emily reminds me of some real christians I have met. All the others are incredibly lame and gen-ztarded or are very questionable in their heavenly status (adam and lute).

Lute is a weird one. Violence isnt a sin by nature and with Gods orders christians have gone to war before. So her actions in the beginning might have been fine. However now that adam is dead she is in the danger zone.

I could see lute going one of two ways. She either learns forgiveness or goes insane.

Last little thing here. Do you think viv will do a lucifer redemption arc in the final seasons? The way she portrays him i cant help but feel like lucifer is going to be let back in to heaven at some point.

There’s so much that can be said, but I can’t give a damn at this point. The Hotel is already fucking pointless, so pointing out that everyone she is trying to save failed the ‘basic human being’ test that is Purgatory, doesn’t matter. It’s just another drop in the bucket of dumb, and shit said outside the show.

Maybe. I mean the show, and I think Viv, can’t seem decide what it want’s Hell to be, if it’s even supposed to be all that bad so what would even be the point? Then what would the redemption look like? He can’t apologize to adam for fucking up his life, or for that comment he made about eve, so what’s the big act to redeem him, because we all know that’s what redemption is, a single big act.

I truly believe Hazbin was unintentionally aimed at teenagers and not adults despite the audience being targetted to adults. Everyone talks like a teenager, everyone is a "safe" skinny effette pretty boy faggot that appeals to teenagers, everyone is for shipping with the same sex, everyone is talking like young people of today, there's leftist bullshit popular with many young people (and they say.... the right is corrupting the young boys? I am skeptical), everyone looks so young, and the theme is definitely standing up to LE OUTDATED OLD SCHOOL BIGOT BOOMER PATRIACHY OF LE ADAM EVIL AND LILITH GOOD.

See this is why Zestial massively stands out and convinces me someone (probably the VA) had to work really hard to convince Viv that he would speak Elizabethan style English. He's the only character that follows the rule of show don't tell since you can instantly know he's been around for long time without being directly told.

Now to take it a step further, you could use the way a character speaks to showcase how much they character keep up with the times, just for a couple examples after a brief thought you can excuse Vox having all but abandoned any 40s-50s slang because he's all about what's new to the point of obsession an example being that he commonly replaces his head to match with technology, while Pentious would very regularly slip into using 1880s mannerisms because until the start of the series he was hermit with very little real social interaction outside of once being partners with Baxter for an ambiguous length of time.

You don't need every character's era be as obvious as Zestial's, characters should adapt with the changing times at least a little bit, but you could put in the minimum effort like Pilot Alastor who used old slang and referenced a real event from his era by cracking a joke about the 1929 stock market crash.
 
If it turns out that heaven is fake and gay and that the realms of the afterlife are whatever you make of it akin to VRChat, Second Life, Roblox, etc where you can make your own instances and shiz, I'm gonna be pissed.

Die and go to fantasy land where you can be a gay furry or a twink anthropomorphic plank of wood. Don't worry, there's no Hitler! But there is sex trafficking and classism and pain for some reason.

(Wait, if Charlie is hellborn and the souls of rapists and Nazis get obliterated upon death, how does she know about Hitler? Did she go to school at some point to learn about teh humanz and Earth?)

I dont think that is the take at all. Matt and trey are becoming lolcows because they have been on this trump bad spergout for fucking years now. They used to mock a wide variety of topics in ways that were legitimately funny.

I was still a practicing catholic when I watched southpark and I found their religion episodes quite enjoyable. I was full aboard the trump train and found some of the older trump stuff funny at times.

However as it stands now its not even clever. "Trump pp small". There's the joke.
