I was so confused by this. In "Like You" Emily mentions that he can't actually "go back" to Hell but couldn't she just fucking make one of her portals and go "HEY everyone, look! Pentious is here and he's fine!" even if he can't go all the way through and actually step back into Hell? Did they ever say he can't stick his head through or wave from the portal for some reason?

Edit: if they were actually smart and leaned on Vox being a cult leader they could've actually had Vox pull a reverse Uno and "don't believe your lying eyes" everyone. But also no, he was another Alastor. Characters actually thinking and acting differently takes effort and doesn't involve ~queer magic.~ Plus room temperature IQs.

In The Great Divorce, while the protagonist is traversing through Heaven, at one point, the topic of if one of the spirits would be able to descend into hell to save someone, his mentor George MacDonald (the author) has a conversation with him, that Hell and evil are so cosmologically insignificant, that it's described thusly.

“All Hell is smaller than one pebble of your earthly world: but it is smaller than one atom of this world, the Real World. Look at yon butterfly. If it swallowed all Hell, Hell would not be big enough to do it any harm or to have any taste'

'It seems big enough when you're in it, Sir.'

In that story's cosmology, the only being capable of willing entering Hell is God himself (and that line reveals who the bus driver is at the start of the novel). I can appreciate the idea that Pentious can't go back. The problem is when the story presents multiple other methods which can accomplish the same thing, making the rule idiotic.

The pic reminded me of when Alex Hogendorp got halal'd and everyone found his deranged gooner anime OC's all of whom had multiple disabilities due to his fetishes, someone photoshopped/used AI to make his OCs looking happy and totally healthy, to which Alex started seething that they were now, "Trump loving Christians", which prompted pictures to be made of Jesus with his OCs, and them as nuns.

It was the most aggressively wholesome thing I've ever seen.
