More capable people who wouldn't be dead could have solved this shit much easier.

Omg they actually Care Bear Stare'd the problem away. Hahahahahahahaha. I thought you guys were joking.

I guess Vox wasn't a cult leader then? His life was pretty similar to Alastor's it seems with the whole killing people because they believe to be superior to them, which maybe that's the point.

Alastor seems to have been a pure serial killer, while Vox killed his way to the top of his TV network. Because corporations really do work just like street gangs and mafia crews, apparently.

(You can't actually kill your way to the top of a mafia crew, really; someone will put you down like a rabid dog before too long.)

I get that it's a satire, but wouldn't it have made more sense for Vox to have manipulated his way to the top, carelessly causing personal destruction in his wake? Suicides, overdoses, maybe one or two indirect murders (it was goofy, but sabotaging an aquarium made more sense than just fucking stabbing someone in an alley).

Of course, if Vox were any good at manipulation, Alastor never would have outwitted him ... because the exact wording of a contract is, I'm sure, something the inhabitants of Hell have never been fooled by ...

Good God everyone in and writing this show is an idiot.

I can't believe I didn't realize Abel was the lead singer of fall out boy until he grew a spine for 30 seconds.
This annoyed the shit out of me all season. I completely expected him to get a full song at some point because why else would you hire the singer of Fall Out Boy for a musical?

Then no, they do nothing with him except like three lines in the final song. He better get a full song in S3.

Vaggie final name is... Vaggi without an "e"... Cool I guess?
This was weird to me because it is basically just reusing the "Blitz, the O is silent" joke from HB except played straight. Tragic thing happened so character drops the last letter of their name? How strangely specific that it happened twice.

lol no, dead serious. Apparently overlords and angels just have magical friendship powers now and can poof away threats.

Why was this never seen before? Why was it never mentioned? How did all of them just know how to do it? Where did it get sent to? Shrug.

Honestly such a wasted character, I hope they do more with him in season 3 if Lute goes on her villain arc. I adore this chubby little idiot and I wanna see him earn his father's place.

Anyway will say more shit since its on my mind about the season overall

Even though the designs for the human forms suck, I'm at least glad that Vivziepop is making people remember that these were supposed to be human beings than just fantastical demons which was an issue with the first season. So the worldbuilding is only a smidge better.

The resolution was ass, like Vivziepop clearly wanted a non-violent resolution, but wouldn't have been better if it was just the Sir Pentious message while the machine just kinda fizzled out as Vox got weaker from the unnecessary destruction he caused. Like there were plenty of non-violent solutions that could've resolved the problem than a power of friendship ballad that the rapist joins in on.

Also Valentino really has potential to be the worst character in the show since while Sera is stupid, Valentino is really tone deaf since they want him to be just a silly campy villain but also this terrifying menace hurting Angel Dust's life yet also want us to feel sorry for this douchebag because Vox betrayed him. Obviously he won't be the worst character in both shows as he's at least above Stolas since they can't really write around the fact he treats Angel like shit where with Stolas, they try to "both sides" his situation with Blitzo. It doesn't help with the bonus content he got of being quirky and the thirst posts the Amazon account made of him, makes me skeptical they'd handle this character tastefully. Like it is clear there is an attempt at making a layered character, but with a rapist character who also does sex trafficking, it really would be an uphill battle to climb to really make him sympathetic.

I read people saying that Vox being a serial killer is to draw further parallels between him and Alastor, thing is there's already plenty of enough parallels between them.
Would have also been better if Vox immediately knew he fucked up, instead of being confused, but I guess the audience needs everything explained to them because over half the show's audience aren't legally allowed to drive.

I find this video about Viv talking about Pentious' human design interesting. Because it shows there was a bit of debate about things like how he has long hair despite that not matching the fashion of that era.

So the original premise of this show is dead, yeah? Cause, correct me if I am wrong, The Exterminations have stopped, Heaven is now on Charlies Side, and both sides seem to be at peace. So, someone explain this to me, why does anyone need to be redeemed, if the entire reason she wanted to redeem people is now moot!? Or are we retconning it to Charlie always wanted everyone in Heaven now?

I dunno why I keep expecting writing to get better. Pentious can't come down to Hell and clear up that redemption is possible, because, uh, he just can't, okay? Also, no phone allowed to even call or message anyone.

There really isn't any point to being redeemed that I can see. Oh, so Hell is a place where people are constantly fucked over by smarter, more ruthless, or more violent people? How is that any different from Earth?

Hell doesn't only seem to lack any punishment element ... it can be downright pleasant if you figure out how to navigate its treacherous ways. Do any of the Overlords want to be redeemed?

Don't take on metaphysics if you don't want to think about them, Viv.

Well, assuming it wasn't an excuse to begin with, hell is still very overpopulated since they're all crammed into one ring for some inexplicable reason.

Apparently that didn’t matter, because they’ve been cool with it since the dawn of time. Remember, as stupidly painful as it sounds, the exterminations have been going on for only 7 years! So I doubt overpopulation was ever a reason.
