Love how Baxter did fuck-all this seaaon until he betrayed his employers, not even over off-screen character development but because they do his laundry nicely. Deadass all-in on fucking over voxtech with zero buildup and I love it. Never change viv.

Alastor's plan was predicted almost exactly in this very thread.
Better than pulling some even stupider bullshit to "subvert expectations" like Game of Thrones did.
lol they just literally just save everyone with magic friendship powers that have never been seen before
This show is never escaping the "My Little Pony with Swearing" label.

I just want to point out that it's insane to me that Niffty and Basxter have a better relationship dynamic than Cherri and Pentious. I know there's a lot of Niffty haters but you can't deny this. They only really hang out in the background and we only really see them in the finale, yet I believe their "relationship" way more than that of the "main characters".
I guess that's what happens when you show characters hanging out and being friendly (if only in the background for a few seconds at a time), developing a dynamic rather than just telling me they like each other because..... BECAUSE OKAY?!
Viv can't write and all my Niffty niggas wish it was us instead of Baxter.

I've seen worse ships (even ones that canon to the show)

The fact that worse ships do exist doesn't mean that we shall always aiming downwards. She still behaves and talks like a retarded child, and I have already spotted redditors running for the "hurrrrr durrrrrr she might be older even than Charlie"

Nigger, I don't give a shit if your loli queen is 4000 years old, if she looks like a child and behaves like a child, I will call you a deviant. :story:

Anyway collected my thoughts on the finale

Pros:

- As usual the Vox stuff is pretty good (Though wish he wasn't too much of a twink in his human form, but when he was older, it looked better). His defeat was also good since it mostly came down to his ego really getting the best of him

- Again, Vivzie does have good strengths with directing action sequences (Vox vs Alastor and Nifty vs Velvet)

- Alastor beat the fraud allegations

- Songs were alright

Mixed:

- Charlie's development is nice but it really makes her a fraud when she wins because Alastor took advantage of Vox along with not wanting to help out Angel after the fight, seriously why didn't she go help the guy

- Abel's character development is alright but he could've had an extra scene or two, do like how he is trying to fill his dads shoes and not shitting on him

Cons:

- Sera is a dumbass for still sending Lute to Hell for duties even after the last time showed Lute still is willing to kill demons

- Lute really did nothing significant

- Vaggie's singing voice really feels off, like it really shows in the song here since her singing voice doesn't match her character's which matters a lot in a musical

- Baxter finally did something but it comes off as offscreen development since he barely got focus until he was used as a plot device

- The plot really happened because Lucifer is an idiot, would've at least been rectified if Vox was still actively catfishing him to come closer than just being silent for the dramatic reveal

Miscellaneous:

- Rosie is definitely Lilith because the fact Alastor went back to her for a new contract says a lot about her ability to empower Sinners

- The writing does noticeably feel like someone's roleplay campaign with how certain events play out

Overall better than Season 1 but still a heavily flawed show, but at least it's more entertaining than Helluva Boss season 2

Hazbin Hotel Season 2 > Helluva Boss Season 1 > Hazbin Hotel Season 1 >>>>>> Dogshit > Helluva Boss Season 2

Holy fuck did the last episode goes on and on without time to breath and yet I couldn't care less about any of what happens because I don't know who the main cast are. I don't care about Cherri Bomb or Baxter or Carmillia etc. because they had little to no screen time, I can't take Angel's abuse seriously because the show is tone deaf about it, Vox's former life is just the same as Alastor, I thought he was a cult leader, not a serial killer... Alastor's deals are dumb, Lucifer is stupid and got nerfed into a quirky chungus and last episode had terrible songs.

Vaggie final name is... Vaggi without an "e"... Cool I guess?

Meh, still stick to see what season 3 will be about I guess.

The final two episodes were...fine except for the whole 'power of friendship saves the day' ending, yeah it was very predictable, but it was still lame though I'm surprised Val and Vel joined in. I'm mixed on Vox's backstory despite him carrying this season, since he wasn't some big-time cult leader and more of a guy who just murdered his way to the top of TV network, but that might be the point, and he thinks he was more important than he actually was which would perfectly track with his character. Baxter at least did something, but I was hoping his reasoning would make sense despite him getting no development like how he absolutely does not want a war with Heaven instead of his reasoning being treated as a joke since he defected because the staff can fold blankets good.

Definitely an improvement from last season though and before the season aired I posted what I predicted would happen to just about every notable character where I was very pessimistic about the entire thing and was mostly wrong and might make a list of how later.

So the last two episodes were...fine, considering the season. Most of the issues I have with it is because of previous episodes beforehand.

I guess Vox wasn't a cult leader then? His life was pretty similar to Alastor's it seems with the whole killing people because they believe to be superior to them, which maybe that's the point. I don't know. I think it would have been better if it showed him being a cult leader and then his cult members turned on him for lying to them or something, and have them kill him. Would parallel to what happen in the finale with the Sinners not liking Vox anymore, and that could be the main reason for his crash out at the end.

Also, I guess the Sinners do know Vaggie (or Vaggi now I guess) is an angel. I don't know why nobody tried to hurt her or bring up that she was an exorcist this entire season. I guess they didn't have time.

Which is really the major complaint; just not enough time. Seriously, most of the moments of Hazbin Hotel would hit harder if we spent more time on them. Like Abel growing a pair and standing up to Lute, Baxter willing to betray Voxteck, the whole deal with Vaggie wanting to have a new identity, etc. Everything just moves at a break-necking, and it really doesn't help when we spend too much time on one thing and not on another. I think Vox was the best part of this season and I enjoyed his moment, but even I think they could have cut some of his songs out to give time to other chatacters and plot points that needed the screentime.

Fingers crossed they get longer episodes similar to the finale for the future seasons.

Wow, he had the same backstory as Doctor N. Gin from Crash Bandicoot, but with a television instead.
lol they just literally just save everyone with magic friendship powers that have never been seen before. The cannon-turned-bomb just... disappears. Holy fucking underwhelming.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic called: they want their plot back.

More like Equestria Girls, but yeah.

Are we sure he didn't change his name from Walter (((Weisman))) to Vincent Whitman just to seem more palatable to Americans? :gunt:
