It's funny how Helluva wants to have this constant theme of classism, yet Stolas, a character who clearly viewed Blitzo mostly as a living sex toy in S1 (up to referring to him as "My Impish little plaything"), is now just an uwu sad and lonely man who can do no wrong.

Not to mention he never addressed ANYTHING. He realised he doesn't want Blitzo as a slave and....that's it. That is literally it.

There's also how he still underappreciates other imps

Like he treats Moxxie and Millie like shit, even dismissing the fact they saved him from Striker while bitching about how Blitzo never saved him from that hitman despite sending his employees to help.

Or every other imp not named Blitzo are treated as disposable like that butler imp he has.

There's also how him getting tomatoes and general hate thrown at him by regular imp citizens is usually framed as tragic

The talk about how Vaggie being an Exorcist being obviously done as fanservice to a popular fan theory made me go back and realize it may apply to Lute having become Punished Lute.

As I pointed out earlier ITT, it makes zero sense that Lute needs a prosthetic given that she didn't lose the arm because it was severed by an angelic weapon or magic, so it should have just regenerated, otherwise it means angels can be killed by conventional means.

Well it turns out Lute having a golden prosthetic was fairly popular with fanart, some examples here were made right after the season finale aired.

Now animation does take a long time, but it's usually done after VA work, and S2's VA work didn't finish until a month or two after S1 ended, and it's worth noting unless I'm mistaken nobody comments on Lute's arm in the leaked episode.

So one has to wonder if Viv saw some of this fanart, made a last minute change, and went against one of most important plot points in S1 in the process because she didn't take a second to think it through.

Personally I don't think Vivzie taking ideas and stuff from the fans would be stealing, but rather just blatant fanservice since Vivzie's biggest problem is that she is too heavily involved with her own fandom that she relentlessly makes decisions to the detriment of whatever story she wants to tell for the sake of pandering (such as the whole Vaggie = exorcist thing because of shipping potential alongside wanting to make her fans feel smart).

Now Lute having a golden prosthetic arm is cool and does look cool, but as said before she lost it through a conventional mean. It would be one thing if she tore it off with her own hands or sliced it with her own weapon, but nope. It's just Vivzie saw some cool fan stuff, decided to take the idea to pander to her fans because she also found it cool without thinking it through.

Though speaking of stuff related to angelic weapons, its still really weird that despite Vaggie sustaining permanent damage from them by Adam and Lute, she never thought angelic weapons could harm angels until like near the end of the Season, is she stupid?

This dumb moment could have easily been avoided if Vaggie figured this out, but just couldn't tell Charlie about it before Alastor made his deal with her, since she would only be able to share this information after her past got exposed.

Ironically this is also part of her success despite her constant fuck ups: when she panders to her fans, she panders hard and they love it, Viv understands that the best way to keep the fanbase off her back is to throw them a bone from time to time, mostly in the form of merch, it doesn't matter is people complain about certain characters like Adam not being present because the bulk of fans buying more than covers any potential loss.

Same applies for ships, theories or any other character moments, actually, S2 leaks showed that Niffty's song more than likely will be done in anime style and it's gonna be all kinds of wacky and I fully expect the majority of the fandom (specially the asian parts) to eat that shit up regardless of it being the first time in two seasons where she gets any kind of focus.

I agree on that I did a few sketches beforehand. And I think in the Moxxie one I did some small writing on Chaz's part, as hes just a staple SEX FUNNY GAY TWINK CHARACTER NUM: 594,700

Reminder, the only reason Niffty was made Japanese was because her pilot VA could speak it, started joking around about it during the livestreams they did, and Viv decided to make it official because of course she did.

Two minds about it, in terms of a redesign I'd like to see Mammon the most so he's not just a fucking Christmas tree (even if I get what they were going for there), in terms of the rewrite I'd want to see Vaggie the last core character on the list and massive waste of potential even by Viv standards.

Crimson definitely deserves a redesign since he's meant to be intimidating yet his voice and appearance make him anything but.

Vaggie is just kinda plain, she needs a few details to spruce her up

Glitz and Glam are fine, but would feel they'd benefit from more clowning.

Chaz also deserves a bigger redesign, he needs to be more of a comedic prick than just "DUDE I HAD SEX"

Honestly Mammon, Adam, and Lute's designs in the base are the best of this pack but that said, though with Adam they keep saying he's fat yet he looks like a twink with his robes making him look light while Lute should have better clothes to make her stand out from the other exorcists. Mammon's shaped like a money bag and meant to be a clown, but can see the critique of him almost looking like a christmas tree

Adam should look White, and perhaps a bodybuilder, and maybe wield firearms?

If you are interested in doing a fan design, I can tell you the idea of that character I spoke before, but only if you liked the idea. The Left Hand of God, that is.

The worst part is that the whole scene as a concept just doesn't make any sense because:

1. Niffty while being Japanese, lived in 50s America so she wouldn't really have that easy access to anime.
2. Even if she did, 50s anime visually was way too different from the pre-conceptions of modern anime that most people have and yet the leak is more in line with this modern view.

Really I just hate the idea of this being yet another moment of a western series "appreciating" anime while showing a bunch of surface level tropes and gags that read more as contempt for the medium.

With Vaggie it depends if you're gonna go with her old background or the current one. 'Cause, current wise I think it def needs to show that she was a former exterminator (like seriously, I dont buy it that she wouldn't have lots of battle scars from training or fights)

I am leaning towards Vaggie since this thread has discussed how her original design and character was wasted potential.

I take it Husk and Loona will be dead last in the redesigns since they are furbait.
