Because vivzie made so their sexuality is half their personality and how vivzie subcounciously writes everyone.

Actually, one of Crimson's workers (Alessio) was revealed to be gay in last year's Pride poster. He's not in this year's Pride poster though.

It's impressive how many 'literal who' characters there are that have only a couple, if any, lines but we know their sexuality. A big part of it is probably because a lot of them are just the animators' self-inserts.

This made me laugh as Viv isn't even following her own statement of "being LGBT doesn't send you to Hell". You think more people would get upset that they're getting represented by the worst of the worst out there, and that there's not one positive representation there for them. Also the fact that the angels who were created in Heaven are not confirmed to be asexual and agender is big missed opportunity from Viv to win extra brownie points.

Excuse me if this sounds stupid as fuck, but I think that the reasons why the Vees got pride merch before the angels is because of their "promotional status".
I.e., with the exception of Adam, all the characters in Hazbin's pride merch lineup were the characters that got Twitter teasers throughout 2022. Which is why we got nothing for Carmilla, Zestial, Mimzy, Rosie, Tom, Travis, etc. The characters that we see are the "faces of Hazbin Hotel".

Also I remember Morgana says that they produce merch based on sales and fan favorite characters. Though, I believe they do it more for themselves if anything.

Fair point where is his merch? Sidenote it would be hilarious if Paimon gets the Viv effect and becomes homophobic because of reasons.
 
So since the new HB short is going to come out soon, I have one question to ask my fellow kiwis: Did anyone else think that the shorts for this show were going to be more on the side characters and their plots instead of IMP going on missions?

Not at all. They made that very clear when 75% of shorts were about missions while the main series focused on intepersonal relationships. Morgana likely wanted his self insert to have some time in the sun which is why we weren’t 4 for 4.

I cannot wait for all the pople who said "The shorts will be about IMP missions and comedy so you can shut about the show not having those" to suddendly change minds and gaslight again me with "The shorts were NEVER about IMP and were always meant to give depth to side characters who really need it, not my fault you're toxic hater and couldn't see that!"

Given how cheaply made the rest of the merch is, I would bet the collage wouldn't be able to go through any more than a dozen rounds through the laundry before large parts of it are peeled off and would already be showing damage after a small handful of rounds.

Bonus points if they do "The earlier shorts were NEVER canon" like how the first ones of both these things now "never" were due to increasingly conflicting lore with the earlier stuff beyond just the actual first pilot episodes.

I said it before, I'll keep saying it, but it's genuinely fucking something else how quickly both of these "shows" devolved into the same badly written melodrama wearing the skinsuit of a comedy thing. It took hazbin a bit longer and shorter due to there being fucking nothing aside from the episode 1/pilot for years but the entire reason that got popular was the comedic aspect and the interesting concept of "oh yeah what if you tried to redeem people that were literally fucking irredeemable to the point they were sent to HELL". Hellova boss got popular initially due to similar funny concept as the pitch . Flash forwards a few years it's turned into the same sludge as everything else and there's a trail of people being abandoned for broadway and hollywood people to take their places, and vivziepop now looks like amy schumer and though I said it before it's not going to stop bugging me how she animorphed into amy shcumer once everything started becoming shitty melodrama. I don't care if I'm looping here I have a fucking headache and I don't think people are gonna check every god damn page of this thread just to see the last time I talked about it lmao.
