If Hasan was under the power of any country or fifth generation kind of group he stans for he would be in a cell getting tortured to death. It's one of the weaknesses of the united states where all these foreigners (Hasan and his uncle) get rich off hating us.
I think his overall goal was to get mainstream attention by going to Cuba, shaking hands with famous people and hoping that he gets lumped in with them and snagging headlines with it. (A common thread about his puff pieces is him being the only 'Twitch streamer' doing this, like '...politicians, activists, pundits and a Twitch streamer'.) However, only being able to stream for less than an hour from his hotel when he hoped to livestream while walking around, on top of all the negative coverage, really got in his craw. He basically wasted time and money. And he's no closer to being a mainstream name no matter how many puff pieces he pays for.
That would buy him sympathy for a while. Better to have him be humiliated repeatedly until it sticks.

Sort of. This is Hasan continuing to cope over criticism of his ostentatious display of wealth in Cuba. On stream, since he couldn't really defend his ridiculously expensive attire with his supposed socialist ideals, he eventually started to lean into it and shrug off the criticism by just saying that he can do whatever he wants, even accusing and mocking his critics of being poor capitalists who must be both jealous and too stupid to realize they're poor because of capitalism.
People only make dismissive comments like that when they know for a fact that they're in the wrong and can't come up with anything to defend themselves with. I do it all the time when I'm losing an argument cause it's fun but the difference is that I'm not killing people as a result of my bullshit like how he is.
