This e-mail seems kind of suspect to me. I'd think that the manufacturer is already aware of the situation out of sheer virality and would have a formal statement from management (and lawyers) passed on to any inquiries rather than allowing an individual customer support agent to presumably eyeball video/pictures and give a rough personal assessment. I'd guess that the manufacturer would do their best to stay out of it by officially stating that they don't speculate on the origin of an obscured collar on media when designs can be similar or even copied.

Not really. A lot of those companies are just brown people in Pakistan being paid pennies to answer a bunch of stupid ass emails from tons of different companies. They just look up what facts are needed for a product and pass it along. If you're expecting a lot of care and personal attention from customer support, you are silly.

Yeah Göring had 7 lion cubs in total and other big cats as pets for some time. Stalin had a bear as a pet at his summer dacha, too. Both of them sent them to a zoo once they got too big. The quote on Stalins bear is great.
