How won't it end well? We already are unhappy by the state of gun laws by vaguely promising it will get worse isn't a very persuasive tactic.
I'm unhappy by the dumb gun laws that are on the books. The NFA is just really dumb. Nothing would stop me from buying a shotgun and cutting it down the barrel to less than 18". Same with a rifle.

Now companies are using the loopholes that the ATF acknowledged to crank out what are the legal equivalent of short barrel rifles and shotguns. The former being called a pistol and the latter defined just as a 'firearm' even though it's clearly a short barrel shotgun.

I'll be happy when the NFA is repealed. That and the ATF is abolished and the FBI takes over enforcing federal gun laws and not interpretting the law like the ATF does.

I don't care if I persuade you. You sound like a typical brain-dead liberal who has no idea about guns and just thinks they're bad because the celebrities in movies and on tv told you so. I bet you also think Trump is pure evil. You sound like you have a very sheepish mentality. Perhaps you'd be better in the UK instead of America. I really wanna trade off you liberals for right wing Europeans. You can go live there without any guns and deal with Islam and the 'refugees' and we'll just keep making a stronger and better nation.

Oh and to answer your question about how it won't end well. If they try to use laws, it'll be peaceful via voting them out. If they try it by force, well we're gonna see a civil war in our lifetime. I personally would have no problem taking on antifa and other commies in this country who want to kill me for not agreeing with them.

Plan A is to live a long peaceful life. Plan B is the guns, ammo, equipment, and skills I've acquired in my life to get back to plan A.

The whiskey rebellion wasnt an uprising you dumb cunt, it was an armed manifestation telling the goverment to stop taxing everything like the british, and less than 10 people died due to the army acting in self defence
What's the difference between an armed manifestation and an uprising? Does one make you less prone to kill American civilians if you are in the military? Cause that was the point I was making when the person asked "Do you think the army would kill civilians?" cause yeah they did and have and totally fucking will if you are yelling "let's overthrow this shit I don't like it."

Hell you don't even have to be armed. Ohio National Guard killed students at Kent State. I'm just saying yes if they have killed American citizens. I'm sure it would be in self defense with your uprising too - unless you plan to just have a face off holding guns while the army also stares at you holding guns and one side says "I'm overthrowing the government" and the military says "No, for real you can't do that."

PS I know I'm not changing your mind but it's funny to see you get real butt-hurt about it and revenge rate me like a little bitch. But go be the John Rambo you dream to be. I hope it ends well for you.

The Ohio NG killed dirty dumb disorganized hippies at Kent State. Taking on armed people who are sniping and ambushing them is a different story. I know this may come off as a shock but majority of police and military are conservative and pro-second amendment. You're going to see large defections if it came to civil war. Now imagine what defectors will bring with them from the armory?

Funny how the Bundy standoff worked for the militia folks. It wasn't until afterwards they arrested them individually. Now if that scenario became a shootout the feds would have been smoked. You realize there are more gun owners in America than there is a military or police force, right? Probably not, you sound retarded.

I stand corrected. I forgot how badass American gun owners are. This is why they have been able to keep down all the crime and the mass shooting since we have so many of them around to protect us. I will never rely on the police or military again to protect me. Thank you for opening my eyes.

Let's be perfectly honest: a lot of the inflammatory rhetoric saying "what are armed civilians gonna do against the army?" or "that's how you start another civil war" one way or the other is from chicken-hawks that have never borne arms in anger. Talk is cheap but when it comes time to put actual lives on the line...we tend to value them.

I've said this once and I've said it again: gun law comes down to enforcement. You can put all the damned laws on the books that you'd like, but if they're not being adequately enforced they may as well not exist. This is why you have so many reports that the FBI is keeping tabs on potential shooters but no one bothered to update their file in the NICS system, so...the background check doesn't work. Someone was lazy, someone failed to do their due diligence. Most mass shootings are preventable with the laws we currently have.

The Civil War also wasn't a civilian war, it was a war between the citizens of one nation. The war was between organized military forces.

Mass shootings usually occur on gun free zones buddy, and crime is always gonna exist no matter what, but if you truly want to go and murder tyronne and his niggas in da hood go ahead

Mass shootings are rare events. You just buy into the hype and sesnsationalism that the media likes to use to scare simpletons like you. I bet you protest meat eating and demand men pee sitting down.

You're getting tagged with dumb ratings because you have said incredibly idiotic things. That's why you people lost in 2016 and will lose in November because red blooded Americans are tired of your shrill idiocy.

In any case it wasnt a war berween the military and civilians, it was a war between citicens of a nation
Also love the fact that he gets butthurt about a bunch of useless stickers on this website, you can almost smell the reddit from him

Gun laws being largely ineffective (be it from bad authorship or bad enforcement or general disregard by those that would use firearms to cause harm) is self evident by the fact that less than 20% of gun crime is committed by legal gun owners.

Also, the largest hue and cry in the gun control debate at the moment is in regard to "assault weapons," when one is in fact more likely to be killed by someone using their bare hands than by an "assault rifle," or any rifle for that matter. You're literally more likely to be struck by lightning.

Well it's about militias technically and not individuals

Fun fact: according to current US code the militia is made up of all able-bodied men between the ages of 18 and 45.

Funner fact: even according to the CDC, guns are used to prevent crime more than to kill by more than a factor of 15.

Funnest fact: London now has a higher murder rate than NYC.

P.S. "...living in a murder hellscape." LOL JFC.

I can just smell the soy off that little boi. He probably views men who pee standing up as barbarians.

He (she?) is an idiot. You can tell they just wanted to come here and be a soyboi. I love how liberals bring up the military like it's had this great track record of beating guerilla fighters.

People tend to not act in protection of others in a mass shooter situation even when there are legal gun owners with guns available. It's what happened in the Vegas shooting and others. Why? They are afraid of interfering or confusing police or being deemed the shooter and shot or apprehended. This is because people (at least white people cause they are not immediately shot in mass murder situations) to obey and trust police. When police are not involved shooters are more often taken down by unarmed people.

Do you not trust police to do their jobs? Are you with BLM? Better start telling the police to fuck off.
Pretty sure the Supreme Court decided that the police have no duty to protect you.
People made fun of Bryan Dunn for it.
That's... not supposed to be a guide.

Yes the police have no duty no protect you at all this is true, the police are mostly a post incident response except in rare cases like large scale robbery. If someone breaks into your house while you're home you better have called the police 5 min before hand, if you live in a nice area. Where I live the police respond in about 15 min and usually don't give enough of a shit to do anything meaningful.

it's gotta' be said, you bring up some good points sometimes

but you also need to do a better job of hiding the fact that you're from /pol and/or r/the_donald

One factor to consider is the pissed-off factor. American Revolution happened in great part because a bunch of people all got pissed off at the same time. Pissed-off people in large groups tend to lose their normal inhibitions and become more inclined to do things like starting a revolution or violently ousting a sitting government. Throw in veterans and others who will have an inkling of how to fight the military, throw in sympathetic state governments...you can guess where it would go.

It's not normal gun owners you should fear, it's pissed-off gun owners.
