The pizza is decent when it's fresh. 9/10 it's cold and the cheese has become a grease-ridden congealed sponge though. I'd still get it over a sausage bean and cheese melt any day however because I'm not a toddler.
 
The video above reminds me of a famous photo taken during the riots following the Southport stabbings (after a crazed golliwog killed some kids in a nursery)...
This was a teenage boy who broke into a branch of Greggs (it was closed at the time), and came out with his prize - a tray full of what looked like goodies...
HOWEVER - I know all the stuff in the warehouse and can confirm he never got any tasty pies, sandwiches, or anything like that... it was 4 or 5 bags of salad leaves etc for making sandwiches.
He was caught due to not exactly being camera-shy, and would have been hammered with a draconian jail sentence, typical of that tumultuous time.
5 bags of fucking salad leaves ..

Whenever I am in the UK I go to Greggs. Love their sausage rolls and the steak bake. I know it's terrible for you, but there's something so satisfying about it.

It almost kind of fills the same niche as Waffle House, but also not at all. There really isn't anything similar in the US. When you go you know that what you're getting isn't necessarily good, but it fulfills a need, especially on those damp English winter nights.

Really? I would 100x eat a primary school pizza over a Gregg's one, maybe I just had a particularly bad one? I usually can get through most bad food that isn't poison but I could not do their pizza. I think my area's Greggs are just particularly bad because I had the worst toastie in my life from one of them and I don't even know how you fuck up a toastie.

Also their sweet pastries aren't too bad either if you want to cram a bunch of sugar down your throat
