Related to the stuff about Rockstar taking down the big mods, there seems to be a bit of a meltdown going on over at GTAF atm.

From what I've read, GTANet, which hosts GTAF, has been shilling the Tuners update quite fiercely, alot more than they usually do when an update drops. There's basically no mention whatsoever on their social media's about the mod situation. The mods on GTAF are largely staying silent about the situation too with one of the admins accusing the creator of the thread (a guy who has been extremely active in the GTA modding community) of trying to start fights and wants to take a "wait and see" approach to this. The thread creator then rightfully pointed out how it's odd that they would shill Rockstar while turning a blind eye to this situation despite having done the opposite during the OpenIV situation.

Long story short, the users suspect that the GTANET/GTAF team are trying to get into Rockstar's good graces and are throwing the mod community under the bus.
I hope this doesn't affect the LCS/VCS conversions on PC GTA. They're really protective of fifteen year old games. Games that the community love so much, they WANT to support it.

Moodymann doesn't bring you to the car meet but the heists associated with the DLC are from him and his purple-haired girlfriend and of course to do the heists you need to buy an auto garage. Cheapest is around 1.6 million.

Do not forget the upgrades. 1.6 turns to 4.5 million. I suppose this update is to help counter car meet griefing.

And there goes the fucking mods. Might as well hoard a ton of GTA IV mods before Take-Two fucks us all.

Says a lot that I completely forgot there was a DLC for this until I saw Whatever post a video.

Yeah, this shit too little, too late. Not worth the re-install.

Edit: I must be too old to play GTA now, I didn't realize this Moodyman bozo was a real person. This is how GTA is going to go in the future, huh? Getting C-List celebs and danger hairs to mumble out jobs to you in each update?

PS5 and Xbox Series S|X versions will have exclusive car upgrades for GTA Online. Gatekept content that you likely have to pay for too.

PS4 and Xbox One gave you first person mode and a couple extra snippets for single player. This is insulting but not surprising.

I just wanna be Claude in a 3D version of GTA 2.

"Expanded and Enhanced"

This is all that they're going to expand, aren't they?

Isn't the transfer to PS4/XSX only going to be open for a few months on top of this? So basically the majority of people who can't even get a new system are going to be forced to start from square one?

What about the PC version? The objective superior version. This version will just be the PC version with high specs. The same UI, the same foundation, slight tweaks to the game. All you could hope for is fast load times and 60 fps.

Optimistically speaking, have Smart Delivery.

The objective superior version.

It's superior but still shit. If you care about Online you deal with way worse hackers. If you care about presentation you are totally taken out anytime any sort of cloth physics are shown as they're stuck at 30fps. It's especially funny with the monster truck with the flag as the flag just wigs the fuck out.

I mean, it's to be expected with a lazy port that simply uncaps the framerate but I do wonder if that bullshit will still be present in the PS5 version. (lol of course it will)

Awful lot of talk about you being an undercover cop from the few videos I've seen. I can't tell if it's meant to just parody The Fast and The Furious or if it's a carry over from Cops and Crooks that they didn't bother changing.

This whole DLC presentation is lazy. Hao having no idea who you are despite possibly using his LSC shop, running an international car theft operation and generally being the kingpin of LS? Not to mention bringing up the race with Franklin from 8 fucking years ago? I'm not even going to get into how idiotic the idea that I need to buy a custom shop when I already own a custom shop in my fucking office building on top of my fucking Import/Export warehouse and 5+ car warehouses is cause that's just expected from GTA Online now.

It's honestly kinda goofy as fuck how they have you still acting like some street level thug in these updates. Like I get you don't talk and they still want to have these cutscenes, but fucking why? They're always lazy as fuck and probably more money than it's worth.

You'd think Kike Zelnick at this point would just have them make it so like some asshole just tips you off with a phone call about something going down, and then you just hire people yourself and everything just gets done through VA instead of in cutscenes. We really need to watch this DJ mumble and bumble about trying to fuck some bitch in our garage and act like we're some nobody? Almost everything is done through the phone anyways.

There are new missions in the Tuners update that will only let you use the new cars.

GTAForums user said:
I bought a dominator GTT and filled the rest of the garage up with old muscle cars I already owned.

I did the fleeca 6 bank robbery mission preps with an oppressor (only ended up getting 1 of 6 jammers placed cause I died and the vehicle was impounded and then I just kept getting killed by cops)

Anyway, I decided to attempt the finale and my only vehicle choices were the dominator gtt and the yellow 4 door I retrieved from the impound for the woman at the shop.

Really R☆? 🤦‍♂️

I wanted to get excited about this new update adding something interesting, but from what I see right now it kinda looks similar to the Lowriders update and Import Export, but with even more Fast and Furious themed shit. Honestly I think Rockstar understand that the current clientele that play their games are just F&F fans who want to recreate their favorite cars in the game and are too lazy to know how mods work or play on console. I noticed this trend for a while, where the fanbase of online only seems to care about what real world cars added in and what customization they have, rather than gameplay changes or fun modes that get added in.

I watched the trailer and it's just so underwhelming that they picked some of the least likeable characters (Hao and Moodyman) as the main characters in the plot.
