Yeah, and I'm saying that's a shit way to go about it. The MC isn't the kind of guy to want to join anything unless a big score is involved. This has been established with each consecutive score being larger than the preceding. Pretty sure there was a psychological report or something saying the MC was antisocial, but I can't swear by it. I think Agent 13 was reading off of something talking about your psychological merits - or detriments to any sane society - during one of those drives. Yet suddenly we buy a shop to impress some bullshit DJ that we don't even want at our own Nightclub? Suddenly we want to be a part of an elusive group and such? I mean, buying Diamond Casino Resort Penthouse is one thing, but buying an autoshop for some DJ? What does joining his group do for us? The pay is shit.

Fuck, they must have had Moodyman on contract or something and wanted to squeeze as much out of him as possible. Which sucks for us. That or some intern really wanted to fellate his ego.
 
I remember 3 or 4 years ago there was hype about a "upcoming" cops and robbers update , was there ever anything else on that or was it just a fake leak. I do kinda wish we saw the original concept for gta online with the turf war system , that would have been really neat.

Rumor is it was supposed to come last summer and got canned because of St Floyd's riots
 
Assuming we ever actually do get GTA VI (lol) instead of endless GTA Online bullshit, am I the only one who wants the next game to be somewhere other than Vice City?

I get it's the last one of the major cities from the old games that hasn't been given an update in the HD Era (well, unless you count San Fierro and Las Venturas from SA) but Rockstar's modern issues aside, I'd like it better if we saw one of the cities mentioned but never shown like a Carcer City based on Detroit or Capitol City that's a sendup of the DC area.

Hell, you could even bring back Cottonmouth from Manhunt 2 as a stand-in for Memphis or Atlanta or take one of the towns from RDR and modernize it. Saint Denis is an obvious New Orleans parallel so that would be an easy one.

Right now there seems to be divided talk about GTA 6 being either London or Vice City.

If they did Vice City, I'd actually prefer a mid-to-late 90s setting for it and continuing the story from Vice City that way. Both for the music (and a mea culpa for SA's crappy rock music selection) and because there is a lot of shit you can mine from that era that will appeal the left and right in terms of striking a decent balance tone-wise.

I wonder how many of those mother fuckers were actually scripted. Hasn't it been said that Rockstar gives a lot of leeway when it comes to how actors say the lines? Or was that just for the stuff involving the Hood that Dan Houser couldn't get right for being a brit?

I fully believe gta 6 is going to be a multiple major city game , if these cities are going to be on the same map or accessible by a airport idk but i doubt rockstar is going to not try to out-do rdr2's map. My expectation is Vice city and probably a wholly new city , personally id like a vegas or atlanta style city.
 
At this point, I doubt we'll ever see a GTA VI unless something causes GTA Online to become fully unprofitable. Oh well.

Favorite obnoxious character in GTA. Obnoxious can be with mannerisms, character, plot, missions, what have you.

First thing that comes to mind would be Vlad from GTA IV. Being called "yokel" with his accent and pompous temper makes him a delight with every interaction.

 
Reni Wassulmaier got on my nerves. Must be a cultural barrier. The Housers, being English, find men in dresses riotously funny.

On the whole, VCS characters are pretty annoying. Martinez, Marty Jay, Mary-Jo, Forbes, Lance himself.... everyone is an idiot.

I would say Lance Vance is my personal favorite in VCS. It's obvious that Vic has to babysit him, even before VCS. He gets into shit, has a funny ass name and dresses like a chump. I'm surprised he could even shoot or drive.
 
People already found out how to dupe using the auto shop so R* made a quick fix for it. The quick fix makes it so if you drive a car into the auto shop you can't mod it until you walk out and back in. The dupers found a way pass the fix so now it's just an annoyance to everyone else. GG R*

IIRC some leftovers were found last year (like flashbangs and stuff); still making CnC in current 'murica is impossible
