So one of the jobs in this update is a heist involving you hitting a bunch of Fleeca banks all over the county.

I can tell you personally this is legit reused content that was cut from the very first heists. We've had audio of Lester directing you to hit multiple Fleeca banks after causing a blackout or something since 2016 I think.

How fucking lazy.

Moodymann doesn't bring you to the car meet but the heists associated with the DLC are from him and his purple-haired girlfriend and of course to do the heists you need to buy an auto garage. Cheapest is around 1.6 million.

Do not forget the upgrades. 1.6 turns to 4.5 million. I suppose this update is to help counter car meet griefing.

being honest costs now are kind of irrelevant since you can bank 1M every 37 minutes or so.

I watched the trailer and it's just so underwhelming that they picked some of the least likeable characters (Hao and Moodyman) as the main characters in the plot.

i kind of feel happy for hao's voice actor, at least they dusted him off from the VA bin for another reuse and he can pull an accent, beats troy fucking baker. by allah i daresay even fucking moodyman is better in this case.

It really should have just been Hao asking you to help him with a series of robberies to pay off a debt he's accrued because some Ballas stole his entire stock and say, "Of course you'll be reimbursed." The robberies could be various car parts and shit, high tech stuff even, but nah. We get some bullshit fuckboi and his thot. I don't know why these dumbasses at Rockstar keep trying to suck off mediocre celebrity dick, it's beyond me.

The other business updates and heists at least have all had decently logical setups.

You do Heists for Lester, use the money to start your own criminal enterprise and/or start a biker club. From there, you expand the business into Importing/Exporting stolen exotic vehicles.

This experience and your prior contact with Agent 13 and Ron bring them to you and you start a Gunrunning and Smuggling operation using their contacts.

Since you're now a major player with plenty of money in LS, you attract Gay Tony to front the money for a new Nightclub you can use as a money laundering front. Even though Arena Wars was dumb as fuck and I didn't partake, the idea that they would come to a big money business owner like you to sponsor racers made sense.

Even the heists it was always your old contacts or new contacts coming to you because of your experience and reputation.

With this it's just like...oh hey, these two have some jobs but if you want in you gotta impress them by buying a shop.

The whole thing feels VERY 2016. Which is exactly WHEN this update should have dropped. People have been begging for a safe space for car meets since the game launched for fucks sake. I really can't believe it took this long. The whole thing feels like it should have been the obvious third wing of CEO and Bikers.

Edit: Someone told me that you can only do these new heists/jobs with Tuner specific vehicles? This is an even bigger reason to hold off since Rockstar is surely doing a staggered drip feed of content for this and saving the best shit for later when they can maximize GTA bucks, right?

Of course you're a hired gun, the problem though is that these two fucks they introduced in the recent DLC don't realize just what kind of hired gun you are and what you've done. They also continue to show a great amount of disrespect towards you which, I can't honestly recall any other that does that.

There's maybe Trevor but he's always batshit insane and even then he's very amicable by the end of his heist. Agent 13 sometimes is snippy, but he recognizes your usefulness. Lester always speaks highly of your shenanigans and immediately thinks of you when a new heist pops up. Ron is an asskisser and a bit of a whiner. Gay Tony recognizes you're a big player and wants to start a business with you, take a bit off the till to convince the IRS everything is on the up and up and ultimately respects you as well. Fuck, even the Ms. Baker from Diamond Casino treats you like you're a professional and she'd be the least likely to do so. Even Madrazo's son recognizes the kind of shit you can pull off and gives you Pavel, who is always loyal to you and admires your work ethic.

Then you got these two pricks who think they're doing you a favor. It's a bit insulting.

In general, unless you can get a "free" business through Amazon Prime or something it's best to hold off until a discount within a few months or until they finish the drip feed IMO.

I'm re-installing because the one dude IRL I know who owns GTA Online wants to try it. IDK if I'm going to buy a garage though. I think I have like 70 million dollars I have saved up from literally two years ago. It was kind of funny noticing that I haven't played the game at all since December 20th of last year, which I am assuming is the day the Island Heist launched and I noped the fuck out at the long as fuck intro sequence with Madrazos kid lol

Apparently the Island Heist is a "big" money maker now? Man I feel so out of the loop when I used to be so obsessed with Min/Maxing businesses and heists. I never thought I'd get this sick of GTA. Hopefully having a friend to play with might get me back into it :/

It's such an easy set up for a joke. You get a call from Johnny on the Spot saying he's got word on the street on stuff you'd be interested in. You go and meet him and he's just like "Hey, Johnny on the Spot. Don't you remember me? I've only been working for you for 8 years now..."

they can get the VA's back, if you follow them they kind off have a on/off relationship with R* because how they treat VA's in general (as they should be treated btw) but the trio's story is "closed" so to speak and T2 has no interest in allowing rockstar to continue it.
