Corona bug?

GTA 3 - SA uses the Renderware engine, correct? What does LCS/VCS use?
You know how in order to finish some missions/preps you have to enter a yellow corona, right? Well ever since they released the Cayo Perico Heist there like 40% (or more) chance that the game won't register you entering it thus you can't finish that mission.

I thought when you said Corona bug, you meant some infection in GTA Online a la World at Warcraft.

GTA Online has shoddy coding and servers so anything is possible.

they'll never fix it

iirc they never actually fixed the glitch where titan missions for import/export would randomly stop working mid mission resulting in you losing TWO MILLION dollars.

as long as whales keep buying shark cards they couldn't care less about these glitches.

hell they still haven't even fixed the combed back hair glitch that has been present since...bikers I think?
 
This series is really dead, isn't it? Now that Microsoft's on a studio buying spree I wish they would make a great GTA clone set between multiple time periods, now that would be cool

i had a little bit of hope that dan houser may have written enough of GTA VI that it would have been decent, but at this point I really feel they must have scrapped it to do something else. if i had to guess gta is going to only be multiplayer focused from now on which is why they said all that bullshit about trying to make the online have more of a "story" or whatever when the last update came out.

hopefully les benzies next game will be decent, although i doubt it will be like gta other than being open world.
 
GTA IV was better than V. Story, gameplay imo. I dropped V as soon as I finished the story.

it's mixed for me. GTA IV definitely had the better story, and I'd say it had better open world gameplay simply for how good the ped AI was as well as the physics. But I found that GTA V, when they weren't boring as fuck exposition fests, had far more fun missions.

it's a real MGS 4 to MGS V situation for me. GTA IV had this great potential to be a great open world game but was held back by the weird adherence to being "grounded" for the sake of the story. Meanwhile, GTA V had a lot of great set pieces that lend itself well to a third person shooter, but ironically enough is held back by how boring traversing the dumbed down open world for the story.
 
R* probably won't revive it cuz it won't make them any money. They squeezed gods penis with GTA V Online and they are going to continue squeezing it
till GTA 6.



Gotta agree. I grew up playing VC and it was the best game, still is imo. The gore system was cool in III tho and i wished they kept it for the console/mobile ports.

GTA IV was better than V. Story, gameplay imo. I dropped V as soon as I finished the story.
IV also has shit driving, tried fixing it with mods and even changing suspension to no avail at all, at least bike crashing has spectacular ragdoll, V's mechanics were meant for online ever since day 1 and the direction they are taking seems to indicate they have other projects, RDR2 and GTA5 having solo-meant patches indicates they want people to just play and shut de fuk up while they are busy racking money.

most of the glitches are client-sided host desyncs because you are connecting with a host from sandnikkerland.

so much so that effing RAGE:MP/ALTV/Public Solo/Local Friends Lobby does not have these glitches, only the mess that is public. not counting the hacks where people can kick you for reporting them because their client blocks specific net events from being called on your client, unless you use Other report which is server-sided and thus, unblockable, i got tired of reporting paid menu users using Other whenever they kept bragging they couldn't be reported, also they crashed me whenever i said that fact, hehe.

there's a cheating community that is wondering about making a anti-modder protection thing, where it just block specific network requests that these menus do and normal people don't do. thus preventing any attack whatsoever including sync-related ones where it's one thing these menu users do against eachother: pick a innocent, warp him nearby a menu user, crash that bloke and the menu guy will crash too.

rockstar never gave a damn about online under the houses. now with them out of the picture you can guess GTAVI will come with online2 because gta5's RAGE/Euphoria is outdated when compared to RDR2's RAGE.

funny enough, I went back to playing GTA III. even for something made back in 2001, I still prefer the silent protagonist more than the Three Horseman in Michael, Franklin and Trevor.

I cannot begin to tell you how many times I see the same GTA speculation articles on the regular. And people get paid to write this shit.

Regarding Cayo Perico - at the moment there's a piss easy way to make money this way by GTA Online standards that pretty much makes all other activities in the game worthless. It's so ridiculous, I'm sure R* will nerf it in the future. You only need to buy a base Kosatka for it.
Don't bother with any other approach/escape routes - choose "drainage pipe" (unlocked by going on a boat very close to the cliff the compound is on during recon), and Kosatka as the approach vehicle. Weapons loadout should be "Conspirator", with suppressors being obligatory.
This way, you'll dive from the sub directly into the compound 3 minutes after start. In the compound, headshot guards around the compound from stealth until they drop the gate key and keycards, grab cash from the office safe, find and open the hidden locked gate leading directly to the vault, and grab the primary target. Then, leave via the compound's front entrance, immediately run to the coast, dive underwater and just swim away from the island. Guaranteed 900k of cash if you do it solo, even with the shittiest primary target. If you bring friends, use the keycards to grab gold as well. 2 players can take 3 gold to fill their loot bags completely. Don't bother with art or cash unless you need to fill everything up. You'll get somewhat around 1.3-1.4 million on average this way, with buddies getting 300-400k depending on the share.
The prep missions are very annoying, though, but guess what - you can do them in invite only sessions! Not even public solo is required.

one thing about cayo perico is drawing grinderfags, whenever i try to host cayo perico for the 4 people challenge some grinderfag joins my session and tries to bark orders on how i should set the fuk up my own heist, little does them grinderfags know they can just go and solo their shit with matchmaker closed so people won't join their session, there's one about doing with each approach vehicle too and using all exit points, funny enough I invited other 3 randos to play with me, it's something i always fucking state to these retards, i want the challenge so it means picking other approaches to steal the fucking target and using the other exit routes too, "if yuo no like go solo this crap and shut de fuk up".

with the 1.5x rewards at the moment they are more frequent, they are already insufferable as is...

I mean, look at half that fucking list.

It's going to use RAGE, more enterable buildings, phsyics changes, landmass increase, 80's singer will be radio host in 80's era, more cosmetics options etc. etc. all shit that has become staples of each subsequent Rockstar game. It's all just generic shit anyone could guess based on 20+ years of Rockstar games releases.

When it comes to specific story shit he "refuses" to say anything concrete due to "spoilers" and mentions weird shit about 3D era characters in an HD era game.

Definitely agreeing with you on the leaks being bullshit although the 3D Era characters in an HD Era game might not be as big of a red flag since 3D Era does carry over into the radio stations.
