those retards still think any of the staff at GTAForums has any knowledge on anything after all of the numerous times they've fucked with the community?

god damn how fucking retarded is the GTA fanbase?

I think it's because way back in the day, like around 2010 at the very latest, Tank and some of the other higher-ups at GTA Forums had some contact with Rockstar employees and that Rockstar would occasionally lurk the forums.

Thing is, Tank isn't active on GTA Forums as much and I'm pretty sure any Rockstar employees who did lurk GTA Forums are long gone. Sam Houser's pretty much the last man standing when it comes to the old guard at Rockstar.

What's your money limit?

I remember ending GTA Online on Level 50 with a couple hundred grand.

I had a high end apartment, a couple vehicles and mainly weapons. This was WAY before Gunrunning.

Heists helped me afford a high end apartment. Around the 360/PS3 era, that was the apex of making it in GTA Online. Finding cars and giving them to Simeon, grinding Rooftop Rumble, doing various game modes, even fooling around with your friends.

It was simple, but more than enough.

The businesses COULD and SHOULD work with GTA Online.

I got 38 million from the casino before I stopped, not sure what the max is. I was able to buy basically everything I needed in the game with that much.

I'd prefer to not have to cheat, but yeah, even with all businesses running etc. playing the game "properly" you will never make enough to unlock things in a timely fashion.

If people want a "remaster" of the GTA 3D trilogy, get a PC and do it yourself.

There are plenty of mods out there that add QoL improvements to GTA to make it playable with today's technology.

Shame R* doesn't acknowledge their modding community.
Didn't we already get that with those atrocious mobile ports? It baffles me that in 2021 the best version of these games are on the PS2.

With PC, you can mod the GTA series to your liking. Emulation included.

One common issue with the GTA 3D trilogy is the lack of widescreen support. Aiming would be offcenter of the actual reticule. Modders fixed it to make it work with contemporary setups.

Modders have made PC versions the best version over the past 5 years or so, you just need not be a complete retard and know how to follow directions and copy/paste folders.

i dont even know why anyone would want a remake of Vice City or San Andreas right now. Rockstar would fuck it up by adding goofy controls and taking away all the fun stuff so that we can go to fast food places while our criminal friends prattle on and on about how much their lives suck.

Atrocious? There are certainly design flaws that don't translate well to phones.

They are competent ports. And it shows how far phones and technology have come since those games originally came out.

However, touch feedback doesn't translate well in a 3D environment. Especially with some of the harder missions in the GTA 3D era.

III's and VC's ports were competent, but SA's port is just unforgivable. I don't know if they ever fixed it.

I don't think so. Even worse, they hastily ported the mobile version to consoles. Which has its own share of problems.

If you want your SA fix, just play it on PS2. It's the optimal version, even beating the vanilla PC version.

Well yeah, used to play the hell of it when it came out on PS2 Classics for PS3. Although nowadays PCSX2 would be more optimal.

The completion for Vigilante, Paramedic and Firefighter have been reduced from 12 to 9 on the mobile versions.

There are a couple other conversions with phone, but I cannot think of any.

Im currently playing the PS4 port, far as i know it's not the remaster, but im having issues with how sensible free aim is, and the fucking Zero missions are being total bitches to me this time around. I know about their infamy but i never had much trouble beating them on the PS2 and the 360

Did they tweak anything for the PS4 release or am i just getting rusty?

Does Red Dead 2 get better? I'm finishing chapter 2 and I think it's boring. It's obvious they put a lot of work in this game but hunting is a drag and the story isn't fun at all.

They need a full on graphical overall though.

The way I would do it is to give them a stylized and cartoony art style to make it look like the character art, that way you preserve the general vibe of what the games looked like in their time than just going for "realism" but you also update it to make it much easier on the eyes.

Really, PS2 over Xbox even?

I have been contemplating replaying GTAIII on the PS2 for it's 20th anniversary and for the real experience of what we would have played back then.
