Second favorite, though memorable mission from GTA: San Andreas

Just the mental image of Big Smoke having diplomatic issues with Russian mafia types is more hilarious than having to shoot your way through a pickup truck with a motorcycle

the same can be said for Red Dead Online, that game is dying so bad with the hackers that plague the Overrun mode by spamming bears and cougars
did they ever learn to add a anti-cheat system in there game yet?

RDO is dying because of a lack of things to buy, more than anything.

GTA Online has brought in a weird group who absolutely *insist* they need to own a bunch of cars and other pointless shit just to own it.

RDO never actually provided anything like that. I know they have clothes, but old west clothes do not appeal to Gen Z and Millenials the way cars do. It doesn't give them that illusion of "being a big shot" if you will.

It's actually funny, because RDO biggest buy in seems to be on the actual gameplay additions but when they're not fun and barely anyone is playing anyway...well the vast majority ignore it and stick with GTA Online.

A lot of the complaints I've seen others make about the newest update in GTA Online is that the vehicles are all stupid and heist related. Not that the heist sucks, but that there just aren't enough exotics and super cars to buy.

I disagree that they will NEVER release another game. There will come a time where they at minimum release a new version of GTA Online or update it so much it will appear as a new game. But I foresee that being a ways off unless they keep making content that doesn't appeal to that "I want to be rich and importnat" crowd

that's why are they making "Enhanced & Expanded" edition of GTAV; they will update the game engine, so it will looks better on 9th gen consoles, so they don't have reasons to making new games anymore

They can keep adding new graphical bells and whistles, but the framework was tailormade for consoles from 2005. It's arguable that certain things about the game are already looking long in the tooth, so they'll have to do a new Grand Theft Auto eventually (even if it's just for some new scenery, South San Andreas is getting a bit old after all these years).

There's going to be a breaking point to where GTA Online won't be financially or technologically stable anymore.

This isn't like World of Warcraft. It wasn't originally built with online or PCs in mind.

I mean, those third-world poorfags still play San Andreas and it's been like almost 20 years

The difference is that Rockstar hasn't been coasting on that game for an entire console generation. Fantastic as San Andreas is, the game was a standalone experience (no constant maintenance & updates like Online), and Rockstar worked their asses off on making GTA IV and RAGE afterward.

Given how poorly optimized the latest heist has been, there's reason to assume that GTA V might be reaching its limit. A tropical environment was something Red Dead Redemption II handled well enough, so the fact that V runs on an older iteration of RAGE makes me wonder what else it could struggle with (doesn't help that the game was made with the 360 & PS3 in mind, consoles that had just over 500MB in RAM).

There's gonna be a time where Rockstar & Take-Two have to let V go so that Online will no longer be constrained.

You're delusional if you think they're going to update much of anything. They're just going to unlock it to PC standards where it can play at 4k 60 fps. It will still have all the same quirks it's always had, including that weird thing where Rage can't run fabric physics higher than 30fps and grass effects bringing everything to a halt.

They might add something to do with the PS5 controller featuers (doesn't it have weird haptic triggers or something?) and if they *really* want to go all out they'll take advantage of ray tracing that everyone is so hyped about, but I wouldn't expect it.
