I don't understand why people don't just do their own custom radio stations. It's not exactly difficult.

I'm assuming Online has copyright bots to prevent someone doing an "Independence FM" equivalent with a lot of copyrighted music and general policies against modding

I don't fool with GTA Online, so meh.

What am I supposed to do? Lester and all these other idiots keep calling me pestering to buy hangars and arcades but I only got 1 million which isn’t enough for anything.
Buy them shark cards, my dude. Doesn’t stop all of them. For some reason R* absolutely needs LJT to constantly contact you for shit.
I thought Self Radio wasnt available on console.

My self vcd radio is just rise fm lol
Self radio is indeed PC only

An overview of the Kosatka and its functions.
TL;DW: It costs a whopping $9 mil to fully upgrade, most of which is just useless weapons that other vehicles have better versions of and it's only main purpose is that it's required to start the Cayo Perico Heist. It does have a purchasable sonar to collect 10 caches a day which add up to an AMAZING $75K. /sneed

So yeah, pretty fucking useless.

Apparently the sonar is free if you're signed up for the prime thing, but they don't mention it at all.

Either that, or when I bought mine it glitched and gave it to me for free.

Yeah the sonar is free for Prime users, I think its mentioned on one of the in game loading screens but I can't remember.

Then again, considering R*s priorities with Online it wouldn't surprise me if it glitched out for you.

"Hi there! This is Bryony!..."
I think every radio station addition besides the house station for the nightclub has been shitty social media rap. Specifically because they can license it on the cheap.

So it doesn't surprise me that they did it again, although I would have thought if they really wanted GTA O to last longer they'd have sprung for some good music. Oh well just another disappointment to add to the pile I guess.
I never stray from LS Rock, the one station with the oldie rap songs, and maybe some of the pop ones.

As far as i know, everything in Radio X sounds exactly the same, and the hispanic station has a few decent things going on, but eh. Other than that, i cant tell apart anything else on V's radio, not even the talk shows, which i fucking loved in some of the earlier games

I thought the bunkers were overkill with the paywalls. Or the yacht? But you need $100 to just access one heist? $8 million in GTA money is $100 IRC.

They may as well just be up front and say: Hey, here's some content. Pay us $20. What a rip.

To be slightly fair, you only need the base sub which is $2.2 million, and also an apartment in the casino, which I think is around $1 million.

Don’t given that slight fairness because there was no reason to tie access to their shitty club behind the penthouse purchase other than to force those who realized it was a waste of money to buy it and hope some of them do it with shark cards.
That's every GTA Online update.

Who gets excited about having to spend money on dripfeed content?

Shit, I feel insulted.

I didn't even realize you need the penthouse. I've never used it, it was given to me for free through one of those Prime offers.

Jesus Christ, that is so fucking ridiculous.

If anyone is interested, I had this video recommended to me and I think it has some good insight into just how bad GTA Online has become. It talks about how badly R* has handled content updates, how absurd the average prices for new content has become, how absurd the grind is to get them and how much they prioritize getting you to buy a shark card.
A bonus game if you're interested: Sort the comments by new and take a shot every time your faith in humanity dies.

As an aside, I love this guy's editing skills.

So THAT'S where "Shark cards" come from. Love how they connect their lore inbetween games. What happened to THAT R*?

Their criticisms with GTA Online and shark cards are spot on. The grind is too tedious, the payout is minuscule, and the economy hasn't adjusted with the new toys they frequently add.

I didn't even realize they had "bills" in GTA Online. The service charges with the apartments, cars, bunkers ON TOP of paying for all of that. That adds up overtime.

If your grind doesn't reward or incentive players enough, they will find ways to circumvent it to enjoy the game. That's bad game design.

A game where it glamorizes criminality and lampoons American society actually rips off its players and fans and encourages the "rich get richer" mentality. It's like they lack the self awareness to realize R* became the one thing they've been mocking AT THE PLAYERS' EXPENSE.

Incredible.

When GTA Online runs its final and last course, I wonder if there will be any self-reflection on the GTA Forums where they could’ve just played Cyberpunk 2077, or do/find more mods to use and play with on GTA V.
