Stadia would be far more successful in countries like mine where the cost of a gaming PC its so fucking high due to tariffs and taxes that its a major barrier to entry but we have cheap-ish fast internet so you can stream easily

But its not available here, just in places where you can get used gaming parts for cheap so why the fuck would you use this streaming shit?
PS3 realtime graphics looking just as good as the trailer:

Nigger you blind? look at the differences in model geometry, detail, blurry-ass textures due to the PS3 having only 256MB of vram, the level going from city-size to basically a fucking tiny street and corridors

Sony has been doing this bullshit since the early PS2 rumors saying it would look like the matrix, meanwhile in the real world Dreamcast ports looked like shit on the PS2

Every time I see the Stadia explained or discussed in something or other. The only thing I can think is "WHO IS THIS EVEN FOR?"

Like, it won't appeal to PC gamers because they're super OCD about just about every aspect related to gaming, it won't appeal to console gamers because they'll just see it as a worse version of something they already own, and mobile gamers... is there even such a thing?

Saw a couple weeks back that Google is still trying to promote Stadia despite it being a sinking ship. Apparently they got the rights to dump Fifa onto it or something, thinking because people eat that shit up every year they'll for some reason jump to stadia for it instead of just buy it again on one of the big two consoles like they've done every year for the past 20 years.

If the subreddit is anything to go by its working moms and dads that just want 15 minutes to play their games. I mean how do you escape from your newborn child to play an xbox?

I dont buy it and that subreddit is full of google cock guzzlers so its not exactly the best place to look for real opinions.

*Big Five. Big 9 if you really want to count all the variations of PS4 and Xbox One.

Never forget that Fifa typically continues to release on the previous gen for at least 5 to 6 years, and with how fucking similar these two gens are I wouldn't expect much difference between the versions

lol gay

Is there any report out there for how much Stadia has declined in user count over the past year? I'd imagine they got a boost from covid nonsense but after that I can't bet on them having managed to maintain those numbers. I'm guessing not because it's Google but there's got to be some idea.

Google will shut it down in 2020. It's not going to complete one single year.

You can print and archive this post.
Or I can quote you and call you a dumb ass. :story: You fucking dumb ass.

I was wondering why Stadia hasn't gone away yet, and I think the end is near.

In Feb while everyone was sperging out over why the PS3 was clearly better than the Xbone, Stadia missed it's user projections by hundreds of thousands of users.

The sign Stadia will be ending soon is that Google is trying to give the hardware away for free. Unfortunately for them, no one wants it.

Once they figure out a way to get rid of hundreds of thousands of Stadia controllers, it will be shut down at the end of the following quarter. Probably in 2023 or 2024 if they don't decide to just dump the hardware into a landfill.

Well, I forgot this thing existed so for me it was shut down.

I even check now the list of games this aberration got in 2021 and I was surprised by the number, it's actually a lot of games considering nobody even plays stadia anymore (or ever, actually). 90% of the games are made by Ubisoft though,

To the surprise of literally no one

I feel sorry that for the people that bought games on the Stadia.
But I don't think anyone bought a Stadia.
I don't feel bad for the fuckwits that supported the idea of 'cloud gaming'. Just another thing to influence the additude of the you will own nothing future.

Don’t feel bad for the 5 people who bought Stadia.

The people who unironically supported Stadia either were paid shills or don't even like videogames, no reason to have sympathy for them.

So are these people gonna be stuck with expensive bricks when Stadia shuts down and they can no longer stream their full priced games?
If you have to ask this concerning Google, the answer is and will always be yes. And it's users will 100% deserve it this time.

So the Stadia controller can't be configured to play regular games like Steam's abortion of a controller?

Wasn't the Steam controller responsible for the launch of Valve's controller compatiblity system? Pretty sure you can get it to work with any game on Steam and probably otherwise if you really wanted to. Google stadia's controller would probably need to be hacked to do so.
