I'd think they'd be all about Steam Proton. Stadia was treated like its own proprietary console, seems kinda ludicrous to think that'd help boost Linux gaming any more than games being ported to Android.

I think the idea is that if these AAA devs were willing to support Stadia that they wouldn't need to put in anymore work to release it for desktop linux. As much as they praise Proton, many view it as a stopgap and say the goal should be to get native ports or at the very least get companies to support Vulkan.

It's ogre. I mean, it was ogre before but it's well and truly ogre now.

Hey, remember Crayta? Of course you don't, nobody did, nobody cared, and it was garbage. I wrote a whole thing about it here: https://kiwifarms.net/threads/google-stadia-general-discussion.54226/post-6848062

Well, it's closed now, hahahahaha. Crayta.com now just links to this Medium article announcing its closure. I guess that stunning and brave woke bullshit retarded nigger-worshipping shameless trash didn't pull in enough people to ever care. Starting life out as a Stadia exclusive, and eventually landing on the Epic Games Store didn't help, either.

The flippant "fuck you" in their FAQ is great, too:

"Just take screenshots and videos of all your hard work! No, we won't hand you the files or let you run them locally, lmao."

Even the subreddit barely had any activity.

Still don't get why anyone trusted these services. If you lived in the 2000s the first time this was tried was gametap. And that was closed down and you lost every game you BOUGHT not only the ones you played for free. Same thing happened with Adventures Game UK and a site actually called Gamersgate before gamersgate was a thing.

And OnLive. I had a copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution on my account I got for a dollar, and when they shut down, lol of course I didn't get a Steam key or anything.

Trusting Google, though, of all companies. Ssssshit, I don't think anyone but the absolute biggest simps on Reddit ever eagerly bought into Stadia. There really is a sucker born every day
