I wouldn't trust ED as a reliable source of information.

So again this is some second hand info from a friend on goodreads.
A couple of years ago some sock puppet/ ass patter by the name of hotrussian101 was spamming postive reviews of Glorias books, posting general ass-pat comments and defending gloria against any criticism.
Hotrussian posted the video claiming it was gloria dealing with her critics and that a similar fate awaited any haters

Ofcourse most people claimed Hotrussian was just gloria all along .
Gloria claimed it was an over protective fan or possible troll trying to ruin her rep.
Pretty sure Glorias mother (who is also her illustrator) is Russian so go figure.

It could be Gloria, the height and build are right, and the hair's the right shade, but you can't really see her face, so it's possible it's someone else. But Gloria violently attacking someone for having the audacity to call her on her fakery seems perfectly in character.

No, it's not her. A bunch of people have said that video came from some creepy Girl Fight website.

Considering Maya is Glorias self insert she still manages to play second fiddle to the sociopath Joey.
Joey gets to lead army's, use death rays, get almost raped by mermaids and murder his sister for attention whilst Maya quotes bible trivia and needs to be saved.

Like a Good Christian Woman, amirite?

Maybe that's why the Good Doctor is so keen on claiming co-credit: His daughter is getting awful uppity and needs to learn some humility.

(Which she does, but not the humility he's thinking.)

Well, here it is, the first installment of my attempt to read this book to the end. I'm recording the audio with a cheap mic and Audacity so the sound quality is not going to be professional grade, but I suppose it's appropriate given what I'm reading. I'm no professional, I'm just doing this because I have a weird sense of "fun". So, you know, judge accordingly. Also, I'll be hosting the files on my DropBox.

Disclaimer: all grammatical errors you hear are not my doing. The real culprit is obvious.

So, let's just get into this:

Introduction - the stuff that comes before the story starts
Thoughts: Daddy Tesch tries really, REALLY hard to sell this book and in doing so spoils the entire goddamn series.

Coping mechanism: You know that special bottle of alcohol you've been saving for an emergency? This is that emergency. Trust me, you'll need it.

Prologue?
Thoughts: It should be noted that the chapters themselves tend to be only a couple pages in length, but the fucking prologue takes forever. Though they don't label it as a "prologue", it's just sort of... there. I also love how the Professor thinks reading these kids a crappy re-work of Christian doctrine concerning Lucifer's fall from grace is an easier and more plausible explanation than "terrorists caused 9/11".

Coping mechanism: Take a shot every time you hear the name "Professor Robert Epstein" in its entirety. If you manage to survive until the first mention of the prophecy then take two shots every time you hear about the Two Silver Birds and The Twin Brothers. You know, for America.

There's just... something wrong with her in that picture. Not the editing, but just... the way she poses, all of it... it just seems so wrong. I can't be the only one that's thinking that, right?

I still can't get over the fact that that is, by far, the worst book cover I have ever seen.

Also, not sure if it's just me, but I can't access the links.
