I find it really cringey bringing up SwankIvy after so long. A rapper beef with someone who hasn't cared about you in years is just sad. It's grasping at relevance that encourages new viewers who might have been fans if they didn't know her past to look up the name to find out who the fuck she is talking about. If you Google 'SwankIvy Gloria' or 'SwankIvy Gloria Tesch' kiwi shows up on the first page for both.
Whether it's the Tesch parents or Gloria herself choosing to put those lines in the song it's an absolutely horrible idea from a marketing standpoint.
I think she (or whoever wrote the song) decided having a "nemesis" was an important part of rap/hiphop, and basically scraped the bottom of the barrel going back years for SwankIvy as material for that.

It just goes to show how little they understand the 'industry'. It doesn't make any sense as a rapper to call out someone who critiqued the books you wrote as a teen. Calling out another rapper, OK makes sense. Bringing up SwankIvy again is just offering a can of worms with an easy open top to anyone who views it.
Trying to wedge Maradonia into a rap career is just laughable. Honestly who wants to see a girl wiggle on a car and be reminded 'oh yah, she wrote a book as kid'?
Does she actually sell her music?
It would be interesting to know how many people buy that stuff, likely less than 100.
And people that try to sell something generally have a target audience but I can't figure out who Glo-Glo is targeting with her stuff.
If she wants to be a skanky it-girl ala K£$HA, most of them don't care about fiction books but rather shopping for clothes and getting drunk at parties (he last "leaked" video where she makes out with some other chick would indicate this is the direction she wants to go).
I do agree that Glo-Glo sees SwankIvy as her nemesis but I tend to think things go a bit deeper than that. SwankIvy is the one person who was able to get past Glo-Glo's army of ass-patters and pop the little self-congratulatory bubble that the Family Tesch built up around Glo-Glo. Everyone else was happy to tell Glo-Glo what an amazing triumph of the imagination she had created, and Glo-Glo was able to ignore or write off all of her "haterz", except for SwankIvy.
Somehow, SwankIvy was able to penetrate the Tesch's defenses and managed to score a point against Glo-Glo. More than just being a "hater", SwankIvy was a constant reminder to Glo-Glo that all was not well with her world and not everyone was enamored with our little child prodigy. Similar to how Alec Benson Leary and Asperchu were able (if for only one brief moment) to get CWC to see his life as it really was, I think Glo-Glo sees SwankIvy as a constant reminder of the serpent who brought evil to the Garden of Maradonia. (Apologies for a severely mixed metaphor.)

The Brothers Chaps, the guys that created Strong Bad and Homestarrunner, have more musical cred than Glo Glo. They've actually played more than once on stage and have had They Might Be Giants as their back up group. By some odd co-incidence that was also in Altlanta.

It's why she tries to bill herself as an author/actress/model/rapper/producer/director. If she becomes a famous author (and if you look at her "influences", you will see they have nothing in common with each other except for sales figures), great. If her Goldilocks "career" takes off, awesome. Or if being a skanky it-girl/model gives her the fame she thinks she so richly deserves, that's fine too.
The only thing that matters to her is the destination. The path she takes to get there is irrelevant.
Gloria is becoming the Sondra Prill of her generation. (Maybe at the Atlanta gig, she'll be able to do Sondra's "honey drip" finale as it was intended!)

Yeah, as much as Glo Glo is a lolcow, Sondra Prill was worse although from what I understand now she's over the whole thing and thinks she was pretty stupid back then.
