Holy fuck I thought I was the only person in the whole world who grew up playing the Petz games. The Scottish Folds and Maine Coons were my favourites. This was my jam:

You certainly were not, I played the shit out of the Petz games.Holy fuck I thought I was the only person in the whole world who grew up playing the Petz games. The Scottish Folds and Maine Coons were my favourites.
I'm willing to guess you abused the Chinchilla Persian at one point too, right? For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, just take a look at this clip it's amazing.

My mom got me two GigaPets way back in the late 90's, one was the Compu Kitty (which I think was one of the first ones), and later a 4-in-1 Rugrats one. I was super irritated I couldn't properly take care of them, but I was luckier than many of my classmates. I got mine as a Christmas present in 1997, which was months after their initial release which made me very late compared to pretty much everyone I knew. But that meant I knew not to take it to school because it'd get confiscated. And there were a great many unhappy kids (and parents) when the school went back on their promise to give them back at the end of the year. They used "well your kid shouldn't have had them here in the first place" as an excuse. Personally I believe they let the teachers take home whatever they wanted to their kids and tossed whatever was left over.I'd say virtual pets count as "girly games" and I loved those things as a young teen.
Anyone here planning to play Rune factory 5 once it comes out in english? A lot of times with games like these I already know which guy I'll end up dating in advance but here I'm pretty stumped. Guess I'll have to actually consider their personalities too this time.
Nah mate, it's fine. I definitely don't get to cast the first stone here.Definitely. Apparently it has frame rate issues and stuff but that isn't new, Rune Factory is basically my ideal game.
Don't judge me.![]()
I'm not sure if I will, to be honest. I have the third and fourth games, but nothing in the new one (at least from the trailers) really appeals to me. Maybe if it goes on sale I'll pick it up, but for now probably not.Anyone here planning to play Rune factory 5 once it comes out in english? Destroy the patriarchyAll videogames are girly
Isn't Style Savvy on the 3DS supposed to be good? Are there any good dress up app games available? This thread makes me nostalgic for those, and I'd like to have something to kill 15 minutes while I'm on break.
I've heard good things about it, but I'm more looking for a phone app (although if a 3DS emulator for Android phones exist I'm not opposed to the idea). I just don't want to bring my 3DS with me to work because the next bullshit complaint from a certain bitchy coworker will be that I'm hiding in the break room playing video games instead of working.Isn't Style Savvy on the 3DS supposed to be good?
Nope, sadly, the only 3DS emulator out there is PC only. https://yuzu-emu.org/downloads/I've heard good things about it, but I'm more looking for a phone app (although if a 3DS emulator for Android phones exist I'm not opposed to the idea). I do have a phone with a stylus actually, so maybe I'll look into that. It wouldn't be the most discrete thing, but more so than my 3DS. Thank you!Nope, sadly, the only 3DS emulator out there is PC only. https://yuzu-emu.org/downloads/
The first Style Savvy was on the DS, and that has an emulator on Android, DraStic, though emulators on phones without proper buttons are never a good way to play a game.
Unless you have a phone with a stylus, and Style Savvy is entirely played with one. That might work.
