Anyone here planning to play Rune factory 5 once it comes out in english? A lot of times with games like these I already know which guy I'll end up dating in advance but here I'm pretty stumped. Guess I'll have to actually consider their personalities too this time.
Oh heck yeah. I'll probably marry Fuqua when I play as a boy and Lucas when I play as a girl.

I think the best videogame for girls is not a game at all. The best videogame is a real life experience. The most important thing to remember about a game is that it can’t give you the feeling of actually going to somewhere and meeting someone. You don’t get to go there; it’s just here. It’s like reading a book. You can’t live in a book.

Yeah yeah I get it. "TOUCH GRASS". fuck off

Does anyone remember Sailor Moon Drops? It was a Sailor Moon themed Candy Crush clone and was amazing and I am still sad you can no longer play it.

...I still have the Luna and Artemis wallpaper you could get from playing the game on my phone and now I am sad you can no longer obtain those wallpapers

Edit: Oh! Someone archived the wallpapers phew!

Yeah Sailor Moon Drops was fun, shame they decided to get rid of it. I got to finish all the stages at least.

Same here, it was fun while it lasted

Another girly game I remember playing was the Tokyo Mew Mew game for the PS1 (the one where Mew Mew Ringo appears in) via ROM. It didn't yet have a fan translation at the time at least not one in the game. What I had to do was I had a cheat sheet from this old Tokyo Mew Mew fansite that told me what the attacks were and what they do as well as the names and translations for all the items and what they do and it was a bit janky, but it was fun. There was also Sailor Moon: Another Story, but that one is way more well known..

Oh, and for the NES there was a game called Ghost Lion where you play this girl who is looking for her parents in this dream land and can summon spirits to help her. I regret selling that game because it was a very fun female-centric RPG.

Did I already mention Calico?

It was a really fun game to play while nicely baked. So comforting. So nonthreatening. So cute and chubby. So full of animals to hold and cuddle.

It was disappointingly short in terms of gameplay though. Oh well.

Oh man I love a good match 3 game.

My first introduction to the genre was Beehive Bedlam - you it played with your tv remote. God, remember the 00s?

There was loads of games that I used to play straight from my tv.
Oh my word! I bloody loved this game when I was a kid! I was blown away with the idea of playing a game on the Sky box way back then!

but I loved playing Cartoon Network's online games. They had a Powerpuff Girls pillow fight game and a snowboarding game. I was
The CN games I liked back then were this Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy game where you built a pipe to drop a jawbreaker into a cup, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends games where you collect food in the air and toss Bloo back and forth and maybe some other games I can't quite recall rn.

Spyro the Dragon (most girls I've met preferred Spyro, most boys I know preferred Crash)
I played the hell out Spyro when I was young, got max% in all three games and putting the game on to treat it as a sandbox where I would RP different scenarios in-game and pretend there are characters with Spyro or play house.
I didn't have much back then but that made me learn to make the most of what I did have.

Holy fuck I thought I was the only person in the whole world who grew up playing the Petz games. The Scottish Folds and Maine Coons were my favourites.

I'm willing to guess you abused the Chinchilla Persian at one point too, right? For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, just take a look at this clip it's amazing.

I still have my copy of Catz 5 sitting in a box near my desk. I adored that game to pieces. The custom species people would come up with were brilliant; I loved seeing what crazy offspring I could get. This is the only surviving image of a Petz I owned back in the day:

The only sort of virtual pets games I have played were Nintendogs and Neopets. I loved playing Neopets back in the day as a kid, it is too bad my account got deleted because I had a really extensive slushy collection I worked on for over five years. I don't know why I was fascinated with slushies, I think just because they were colorful and some of them had animations that appealed to me.

With the drama recently Neopets is fucking dying. If you want to move to another pet game I recommend Wolvden or Subeta
I am aware, it was a corpse of itself and dying a slow death ever since Viacom pulled out, what is happening is only accelerating it further.

I will check those out when I have time. I have played Lioden and it was alright. I did like the beetle mini game though.
