I decided to go ahead and give Shining Nikki a try when it came out. Am I glad I did! :D Whether or not it’s better than Love Nikki depends on what you’re looking for. I love them both equally. No one, not even Mercury and Vulture, replaces Nidhogg though.

I just got through the puzzle game Harvest Moon: Mad Dash. I will say, it is pretty fun. The most common criticism I hear about the game though is that it is too mindless, but sometimes you just need those mindless games to just chill out with and relax, if that is what you want in a game as opposed to one that requires you to think, then you are going to have a good time. The last levels do get a little frantic, especially the ice levels that live up to the game's title.

Has anyone played the Code: Realize games? I picked them up on a whim and I am just finally getting around to playing them. I noticed there are a lot of Otome games and other girly visual novels for the Switch. Any other recommendations of what I should pick up next when I am done?

Okay, so I finished my first route on Code: Realize and here are my thoughts

So, I decided to play blindly at first not thinking about what sort of guy's route I would do until I got locked in one of them, but Impey's antics made me chuckle a bit so I tried to pick choices that I thought gravitated toward him and managed to get his route (for a minute, I thought I might have locked myself in St Germain's route, but luckily that was not the case.

I will say, Captain Nemo is a pretty awesome villain with very based motives. Like, he is a genius who literally became a sky pirate captain who wanted to destroy London because Britain colonized his nation and treated his people badly? Damn... I think he was much better than Finis and he was actually more memorable than he was. I am sad he didn't appear in the anime adaptation, but I can understand as it apparently focused technically on Lupin's route and Captain Nemo is more of a Impei route thing.

Next route I will probably do is either Van Helsing or Victor's probably, but I think I might play Olympia Soiree before tackling another route though and definitely want to do all the routes before playing the sequels. Luckily the game has a feature to skip and speed up the dialogue so you can just get to the choices quicker.

Oh yeah, I also like that Cardia's poison doesn't get reversed in the end and it was only a temporary fix, but if she was in that state for too long she would die. I like that because it would be such a cop out if they completely reversed the poison which I am kind of glad they didn't resort to it.

Celeste ! It's a precision platformer about a girl learning to accept herself, and you collect strawberries and at the end make a pie for all your friends. It's wholesome and also so difficult it makes me want to yell, but in true girl game fashion there's an assist mode that removes all the effort in case you just want to finish it without screaming.

There is a free game on steam called Doggone Hungry where you play as a little dog who wants to steal lots of food to get fat. It's short but very cute and can distract you from LIFE and STRESS for 10 minutes. And you can make him wear funny hats.

So I don't see much mentioned about girly game apps, but I've been enjoying guitar girl as of late.

It's a cute idle clicker game with some cute outfits and chill guitar music in the background. There's actually a plot too, which I honestly wasn't expecting. It's about guitar girl learning to overcome her shyness with the help of her friends and guitar.

I find myself enjoying it a lot for a simple clicker game. It's also pretty easy to progress at a reasonable rate without having to make in-app purchases.

Been seeing my gf playing a few games, her favorite so far is a game called cats and soup

Thought I would drop that suggestion in here for y'all

Finished all of Future Blessings and I am now onto Wintertide Miracles. I do have a bit of a question about Wintertide Miracles though

How the hell do they celebrate Christmas if Jesus doesn't exist in this universe? Because if Jesus existed, then there wouldn't be any need or purpose for the Apostles of Idea since humanity would be saved because of Jesus dying for their sins (though I guess they could still have use since there will always be people playing God who need to be punished and whatnot). Is it the same reason as why the Flintstones celebrate Christmas? I would understand if it was called something else because a lot of Christmas stuff stems from pagan traditions, but they literally call it Christmas. It doesn't make sense.

Just finished playing 3 out of the 6 routes (including the finale route) of Piofiore The most recent one being Yang's and here are my thoughts:

Oh god, Yang... That whole route.... damn... Basically, this is the route that appeals to those women who get crushes on serial killers and school shooters. This is the route for women who have a huge domination fetish. Yang is a total abusive asshole, I would compare him to Christian Grey because like him, he pretty much only cares about money, he is super possessive and controlling, and he always talks about how he gets bored with women really easily much like how Christian only hangs on to his subs for a few months before discarding them and the idea behind his route is that you have to play hard to get. He is literally Asian Christian Grey.

Other than that I have been enjoying the game, not as much as the Code: Realize series but so far it is pretty interesting, though you shouldn't play it on an empty stomach since there is a ton of food porn in there

The Good Life is very chill. It's about paying off debt, taking photos, uploading them to fake-Instgram for clicks and money, mystery and a brutal ritualistic murder of a woman(I know women really like that), plus everyone turns into cats at every new moon.

It's sort of like Animal Crossing but with a storyline. I really like it, it's nice. edit: it's also on Gamepass.

This is also made by the same man who did Deadly Premonition. Same gist (minus Insta aspect) and I'd recommend it for all the Twin Peaks fans out there.
