rimworld is a girly game
I used to run a black-market organ harvesting operation in that game, am I a girly guy now?

That is a really nice horse wow.

I’m not really a horse girl but occasionally I get a craving to play horse games.

This post was in the drafts, but now it's relevant, because this game just came out:

I didn't even know horse games were a thing until I found a youtube channel called Rattle. It's just a lady talking about all sorts of goings on in horse games and drama, kind of cool to be a fly on the wall to something that someone's so passionate about

So this is like a cross between an fps and a jrpg?
No it's a turn based tactics game that has in real time movement so you control each individual character to move and attack. Though the enemy can shoot back at you and your team will also automatically shoot back at them. Not sure why I even recommended it as it's romance is story focused.

As for other games like Fire Emblem with a romance feature Sakura Wars and The Legend of Heroes games have dating sim features, but are male leads and is very anime. There is also Unicorn Overlord which is a great game though the romance is not a focus, but you do need to pick a love interest to finish the game.

It is very rare for gameplay focus games to have a lot of romance that is not a male lead and have dating sim like mechanics. I would say that Fire Emblem and Persona are the most well known though I think there are also phone games. However, I do not play phone games and hardly play games as it is anymore though dating sims are still mostly visual novels.

Addition; Pandora's Tower which is an action rpg where you climb the tower to cure the love interest's curse. Though you have to go back every now and then to feed her curse beast meat as if you don't she will turn into a cursed beast and you lose.

IT'S HAPPENING

Tell me how you feel about it. I beat the base game in about 180 hours, doing almost all of not all of the side quests. I plan to play the director's cut before the sequel, since I'll be waiting for the sequel to come to Steam.

I beat RE6 with my brother. I played it with a different brother when it was released in 2012. It took my second-choice brother and I a year to play through this absolute bloated beast of a game, since our schedules aligned so rarely. This is relevant to the thread because if this isn't catering to the female gaze idk what is.

PS2/Gamecube Horror games are girly games.
That reminds me of a PS2 game I recently heard of which you ladies may be interested in.

Gregory Horror Show is like OG Resident Evil with an Animal Crossing theme. You wander around a ghost hotel of cute cubical animals and steal things to trade according to the day/night cycle. The horror is more psychological, there are no fights except for the final boss and the only gore is in comical stylized cutscenes.

Its creator only did one other thing - a light-hearted cartoon called Pecola which I grew up on. So I'd rather not play it (it would be too weird) but someone else could love it.

found no where else to put this but Dinkum has the right level of cozy farm/exploring autism with satisfying game play. Whilst being the closest new game to Animal Crossing it's based in Australia it has heavy nods to old Australian culture.

You can design houses, build up an entire town and entice Merchants to move in. Tame wild diggos (Dingos) to become pets and helpers. You can fish and farm to your hearts content there is also a Deep Mine to explore and fight (you can Russel Crowe your way through the world) capture mounts and build enormous monuments.

The modding community has some really nice QOL options and it's recently come out of EA with the dev regularly updating and adding things to the community. The fishing and bug hunting is really fun and doesn't have a stupidly short day cycle which you can extend your stamina and health with easily accessible food crafting. Also the crafting options are really nice, once you get the science nigger you can get a Helicopter to traverse the Islands.

Played this game co-op with my husband a few months ago. I enjoyed it except for the terrible bosses and the lack of ammo in the Chris sections. I liked Jake's character development, interactions with Sherry, and that he has ties to the best villain in the series. I wish they'd put him in another game, but it seems they're bent on introducing new characters and not reusing any of the old ones. Idk if I'm relieved (based on Chris's portrayal in RE8 and RE7) or bummed out by it. But yeah, it's nice how they made all the men so good-looking. Bring that back please, Capcom.

Thread tax: Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete is really fun if you like collecting and decorating. It's a mobile game, so it has less dialogue and activities like fishing are simplified, but the decorating elements are much nicer than other AC games. It used to be a gacha game, but now it's paid and offline, so you can easily get items and premium currency without needing to spend much time.

Uma Musume Pretty Derby.
It’s a very cute game with a visual novel attached to it. The slice of life filler VN part is stupidly cute and the races are, in contrast, cut throat.
I feel a little emotional when my horse girl chokes placements because I took a risk to train further despite being past the point of exhaustion.
I like Ura. Ura is underdog who’s IRL Horse LOST all 183 races she races (becoming a fan favourite as losing bets were considered good luck). Each racer has a personalized career with dips and highs and it’s stupidly cute.

Ura fan-art is a vibe and sometimes the writing is amazingly depressing/up lifting.

Haru Urara got sent two tons worth of refrigerated ryegrass, which got fed to the other horses. Goldship is a pain to train though. It's Cygames' current cash cow and the first game they published outside of Japan (Princess Connect was released by Crunchyroll and they killed it after 18 months while Granblue Fantasy was never released outside of Japan, but has an English option done in-house).

Tell me how you feel about it.
I just got back from the west coast knot.
I was pacing back and forth on the beach (not THAT beach) thinking about the tar when I saw the silhouettes of the BTs floating in the air, all facing the tar ocean. The look on my face when I realized what I had to do was probably priceless, and the experience has totally been one-of-a-kind.

I'll have to hold off on more thinking until I actually make the home stretch because either I'm going to be very disappointed or very happy with how the setting and characters have been handled when all is said and done.

I loved it and I did actually cry a bit at the end, but I played it during a very isolated time of my life so it really hit home for me.

Has anyone ever played Style Savvy for the DS? It’s one of my favorite games for the DS and the original and remake are both good. You get to own a boutique and play dress up, your character has a cute little backstory too

I dunno if anyone has mentioned this in thread, but Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines (2004) is one of my most favorite RPGs I've ever played. If you were obsessed with vamps as a kid and have never heard of it PLEASE give it a try. You do need to install an fan-made patch because it is terribly buggy and almost unplayable at moments. Everyone is sexy, its very early 2000's grunge/goth style, voice acting is incredible, and incredibly well rounded with a lot of side quests and different routes to take. (I've modded though for cuter main characters, they do look a little jank just bc of the limitations at the time ofc)

This game awoke two things in me:
1) A Voice Fetish
2) (Humanoid) Monster fucking.
All because of fucking Andrei. Hearing him eventual call into the Deb of the Night show still turning me into a cackling little dork.

I put CFW on my vita the other day— I initially bought it second hand, and shit was already modded (it was the same price as all the others, so I thought “meh, I’ll take the shortcut”)….. clearly the French moid who sold it to me could not follow instructions, cuz it was janky as fuck, and it crashed mid playing on a train ride.

When I came home I formatted everything and set it up myself which I should’ve done in the beginning, honestly. I’m sad that I will have to download the Bully port again— I would’ve backed up the Sf card, but I have no computer with me cause #holidays… putting the port in was lowkey a pain in the ass the first time, but….meh.

FINALLY on the topic of girly games, I’ve been playing Persona 4. It’s all about tarot and small town murder mystery and shedding your masks around your friends being yourself etc, so in my view it’s definitely girly approved. The sprites are also all sooo cute. I especially like the side characters. The fighting is also a lot more fun than I expected— I started it for the story and tarot aspect, but I love the dungeon crawling despite not being a RPG person. Definitely go play it.

I won’t try to make the case that Bully is a girl game, but I’m a chick and I like it… so…there you go.

Sorry for the double post ladies— but YES OH MY GOD YESSSS I’ve talked about this saga on this thread a couple times before as well. Fave ds/3ds Saga ever probably up to par with animal crossing or ace attorney or like, Layton games for me LOL. The replay value is insane. I owned 2 and 3 as a kid and this year I was playing the DS version and the 1st 3ds game and WOW…. So fun. Then I continued the third 3ds game and I STILL haven’t finished it, the story is so long and polished for no reason?!!!!!!!!!

Not to be hyperbolic but these are probably some of the best on the go games the 3ds offers. I never get tired. The outfit making and the store managing aspect is fun as shit
