The Crusader Kings series has a lot more romance, palace intrigue, genetics, and social drama than I expected and the war mechanics get put on the back burner compared to other games in the genre. It’s certainly still a game that heavily appeals to men but I think women who are into medieval times would like the game. That being said it’s replay value is low if you enjoy it for the drama and events (as with other Paradox games)since there’s only so many things that can happen. If you love roleplaying as a historical figure, arranging good marriages, grooming heirs and being a pious Catholic though, you should give it a try.

Infinity Nikki version 1.9 dropped yesterday but the housing update came out today and am I so excited, I've been waiting for the housing update since this game launched. I might update this post with some pictures later tonight

I got the switch 2 on launch day but haven’t found any new games to play on it until now
I’ve heard the new Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar game is awesome so I’m looking forward to giving it a try!

The cows are so adorable I can’t resist 🥺

Does anyone know of a game with dating mechanics but is mostly combat based? Sort of like fire emblem but without being fire emblem. Can be action based or strategy based. Asking for a friend.
I do but it's also an Eroge so I don't think you'd be interested.

The Game of Thrones mod is very fun if you're into Game of Thrones, and can extend the life of the game somewhat. But yeah it'll still hit a wall after a few generations.

Anybody played the new Silent Hill game yet? Is it any good? The trailer came off a little disappointing.

I put CFW on my vita the other day— I initially bought it second hand, and shit was already modded (it was the same price as all the others, so I thought “meh, I’ll take the shortcut”)….. clearly the French moid who sold it to me could not follow instructions, cuz it was janky as fuck, and it crashed mid playing on a train ride.

When I came home I formatted everything and set it up myself which I should’ve done in the beginning, honestly. I’m sad that I will have to download the Bully port again— I would’ve backed up the Sf card, but I have no computer with me cause #holidays… putting the port in was lowkey a pain in the ass the first time, but….meh.

FINALLY on the topic of girly games, I’ve been playing Persona 4. It’s all about tarot and small town murder mystery and shedding your masks around your friends being yourself etc, so in my view it’s definitely girly approved. The sprites are also all sooo cute. I especially like the side characters. The fighting is also a lot more fun than I expected— I started it for the story and tarot aspect, but I love the dungeon crawling despite not being a RPG person. Definitely go play it.

I won’t try to make the case that Bully is a girl game, but I’m a chick and I like it… so…there you go.
I kinda miss the og Ps2 Chie actress

have any of y'all tried out Ghost Town Pumpkin Festival?? (itch.io)
i just heard about it this year, apparently its only playable during october.
its like a fall festival where you carve pumpkins, do a hay ride, and there is a haunted house?? you can run into other randoms who are also playing at the same time, and you can play with friends and do all the little activities together.
i've never played it, but i was curious if anyone has tried it and if its worth playing??
idk! could be a cute game with friends for halloween

Finished Bye Sweet Carole yesterday, a new survival horror heavily inspired by classic Disney and Clock Tower. I'd been keeping an eye on this one for a while.

Its biggest strength is the visuals; it's a very aesthetically pleasing game with a charming atmosphere and (mostly) fluid animation. The gameplay is unfortunately where it suffers, with some poorly implemented mechanics that caused me quite a few unfair deaths and frustrations. It is rough in some places and definitely could've used a bit more polish before being released. The story is blatantly about feminism and gets pretty heavy-handed with its message, some parts of the game being downright eyeroll-worthy (reminded me of Silent Hill f), and it's also pretty predictable. Characters aren't very deep but they serve their purpose. The difficulty of the puzzles is extremely inconsistent, ranging from easy to stumping me so much I had to look up the solution. Lengthwise it's on the shorter side - I beat it in two days - and reasonably priced.

Overall, if you're a fan of Disney, Clock Tower, Rule of Rose and/or Haunting Ground, it's worth playing. There are several nods to the games and even an Easter egg in Rule of Rose's case. Though if the gameplay sounds like too much of a pain or just isn't your style, I'd recommend watching a playthrough.

Don't know if anyone's posted the troonslop game "Don't Stop Girlypop!". You can tell troons made it by the clocky MTF gigahon that voices the AI. It looks like what a drag queen thinks is "girly".

Does this mean all the troons will finally leave TF2 so real women can enjoy the superior movement shooter in peace?

I hate Chie's Golden VA so much I always play that version in Japanese, even though Rise's JP voice is twice as annoying as her English voice. I know Chie's original VA doesn't really voice act anymore, but it sucks the direction for her new one wasn't better. They could have at least tried to make her sound similar.

I mean don't get me wrong I don't hate Golden Chie or anything, I just liked the PS2 performance better.

I bought Flowers And Favours: Florist Simulator during a Steam Sale a couple weeks back and have been really enjoying it. The artwork is really nice, the UI is simple, controls are smooth, and the characters are cute. I especially like the Pangolin who is a complete paranoid recluse. Highly recommend for anyone who needs a game you can pay half attention to while you watch a movie or something. 1760572214475.png 1760572119041.png

Two other shopkeeper games i've been enjoying are Trash Goblin and Dealer's Life Legend.

Trash Goblin is a lot of fun with cool gameplay elements and a lot to unlock, some poorly written dialogue and questionable 'queer-coded' characters but overall super enjoyable and underrated. If you like picking at rocks to uncover gems, trinkets, and trash then this is your game.

Dealer's Life Legend, like the two other games in the series (Dealer's Life and Dealer's Life 2) is really fun with great artwork, sounds, and gameplay. It has a bit more in-depth selling/buying mechanics than Trash Goblin and there is more to do as this one doesn't have any solid story or character storylines. The previous two games in the series had some funnier dialogue but it's still a great time and I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed Webbed.

I'm not a fan of spiders or bugs, but this game is kinda cute. It's a pretty simple 2D platformer. You play as a spider and you need to save your spider boyfriend from a bird. Gameplay is mostly about navigation, trying to get from A to B, building your web as a bridge, or swinging on it like spiderman to get across the obstacles, and occasionally solving simple puzzles. There is some exploration to find some secrets but mostly it's a simple linear game.

It is pretty short and cheap. I have 12 hours on steam but it probably can be finished in one sitting. I decided to get all achievements, did 2 playthroughs, and actually spend a lot of time making my webs look nice on the first playthrough. It's surprisingly fun and very chill.

bit late but biggest thing about p4 is that i wish they'dve kept their cajones and made yukiko the killer, i think there was also speculation at one point ryotaro was the killer, following a character type like "Dexter", or more of their original ideas at minimum. the whole tone of the game was originally going to be similar to the tone of 3, instead they just went with the friendship=no sacrifice=happy ending which altered 4, 5, the future of the franchise, and then it retroactively affected 3.

the original ending of 3 alone made so many characters' endings so much more powerful, hearing the cast running toward the pc, having the love interest there prior, having letters to the main character play etc, was super good. 4 could have matched it too, i think having a end where yukiko and mc fall deep in love then just having them meet in a epilogue in prison showing them still staying together would be damn bittersweet, or ryotaro putting himself back together over time and matching nanakos hand on the glass in a prison, that's that good depressing drama shit.
I do but it's also an Eroge so I don't think you'd be interested.
is my nigguh trying to suggest sengoku rance? but yeah there are several fire emblem-y games with porn that are like that, sengoku rance is a big one that's known for being damn good gameplay wise but degenerate enough you can't recommend it to friends or acquaintances, much less a ladeh. there's also another rance game that's older, harder to work with, but also has fun gameplay. the venusblood games are also damn good gameplay wise but range from degenerate to mega super turbo degenerate in the same game. the caveat is you can play them without applying an adult patch, i have no frigging clue how that'd work, but theoretically you can just get suggestive shit without the actual gooner scenes and still gameplay.

eiyuu senki gets special mention, it's also really good strategy combat, if you know how to find/torrent etc the vita version in the most popular download pack has gooner shit removed BUT ALSO replaced with very good romantic end scenes so it doesn't feel shitty or like content voids. pretty sure there's an install option for just that. don't bonk me, but aselia the eternal, also originally an eroge (lmfao) is on steam with no adult content, or well not really, there's a hostage situation in the middle of the game that has clothed but weird tentacle shit like sword art online. no direct sexual content though, honestly though it's a bit too neutered, there's a lot of changes that are really retarded, like characters that have big emotional breakdowns, say shit like "i'm empty, please i need you to make me feel alive" and then it like fades to black with "and then we hugged for a while and she got better" there's a lot of story moments that really needed game of thrones level discreet sex or "and then we made love" at minimum. they replace a lot of adult moments with shit like "they hugged" etc to the point it straight up makes some plots confusing.

aselia's story though is long af and damn good, but damn depressing. the ending borderline drove me to a minor existential crisis. the cuts and edits are horrible and confusing still though, but some changes are kind of understandable, like the main character's sword in the original game would have put off many possible fans. seinarukana is also good and the gameplay itself is better, and i believe in general the edits were less heavy handed.

symphony of war is the least gooner recommendation i know of, (except for giant's designs), but the romances seem very hollow and very meaningless, like it doesn't matter if joe or bill gets with cheryl works out all the same etc. i guess that's close to some of the fire emblems romances though lol but not very romantic.

fire emblem likes are hard because there really are A LOT of them, they just have a shit ton of gooner content. if you don't want gooner content, then your options are basically having the correct nintendo console and title access (since can't have jack shit for emulation of nintendo products) or play a blatant, shittier rip off. but eiyuu senki with the vita/no adult patch would be a high rec for polite society if you can get it, then aselia the eternal/seinarukana

I've never heard that they intended to make Yukiko or Dojima the killer and then changed their minds. Do you have a source on either of those?

It's almost impressive how easy it is to tell what "for da GURRRLZ" games are actually just made by and for Gigahons.

Like bro what is this
