My mom actually was the one who got me into gaming as a kid. I would sneak out of my room at night to hide under her bed and watch her play Zelda II.
I always go back to Animal Crossing ever since I got to have the first one on the GC when I was little. So many fond memories of my best friend coming over and us taking turns fishing and harrassing the villagers. I used to bring my GC to my nana's on event days (meteor shower, 4th of July) just to make sure I could see em.
DS era I would play wild world with the boys on the bus. We would share a cheat card and give ourselves millions of bells. The bus was the best back then, so many kids had a DS and we would have 2 full rosters of mario cart going on at the same time.
New leaf era was when I got competitive with my town and filled it with fancy shit.
Now with new horizons I make up my own fun. Feel much too old to be playing but it still makes me happy.
Beyond that, all of the Sims series (Urbz, anyone?), Petz series, Yoshis Island, and the Harvest Moon series are a few off the top of my head that I was addicted to. I liked making slutmen in the sims and making my whole town end up related to each other. So many mods I wanted on the Sims that I got my first new graphics card as a kid and that set me on the track to working on computers in general.
And then the more modern Fire Emblem games I've been told is 'girly' with all the relationship stuff; Fates and Three Houses each I got hooked on. Can't wait for a new one to be announced
I had The Urbz for GBA, pretty fun game, though the character customization was weak.
The simlish version of black eyed peas songs still crack me up- sad the gba version didn't have those
