This reminded me of another pets dog game i had for the ds, Petz Dogz 2. dont know what the hard on with replacing a s with z was but here. Reminds me of those 'big nose pals' plushies i use to own, and even mcdonalds did a promo with. i remember liking this one more as there was better house decorating andmore interesting minigames to play, but no fashion show options or way to dress up the dogs directly.

i dont think they had any licenses with 'THE DOG' but they were popular around the same time the game came out so, better hop on that trend. resemblance is too close to think anything other than some slight 'inspiration' for me anyway.
I always liked THE DOG, didn't know they had more than one game. I only just found out about The Dog Island a few years back and decided to pick it up for my then-still-properly-functioning PS2. Extremely cute game with a surprisingly decent story, gameplay and character customization.

Aw, all this talk of pet games is making me nostalgic. Its been at least like 10 years, I'm just going to pretend after I stopped playing my Nintendogs got adopted by nice people

I was actually looking for something like that for Switch so it could be something other than a VN and Rune Factory (Dylas and Ryker best) machine, but I only found one game that didn't look too promising. Maybe I'll emulate the original

Yes petzdogz fashion was the one, thank you. God it looks worse than I remember it but atleast the drawn aspects like the character potraits were kinda cute. (unfortunatly the screenshots arent in hd or anything because i'm working with what ive got from old reviews and wikis)

glad to help❤️,

Did anyone play on the teen nick peripheral games site The N, more specifically play games like Avatar U, and Avatar High? these games were kind of like sims but set in schools, you were given a set number of sims and you could edit their looks a little and what their likes and interests were, sexualities for U
The main goal would be to make them good students but they each had their own interests and autonomous schedules, you could give them things to be good in school, or things that would make the other students bully them, they would fall in love, stuff like that. I never played these in their heyday, I only know the games and the N because I randomly came across them on the bluemaxima flashpoint application.

Animal Crossing kind of gives me girly vibes. I don't play it for that reason because it's not my style, but it's a big hit with a lot of girls.

Felt that, I occasionally think back on my Nintendogs and get pangs of guilt for "abandoning" them. It'd be great if we got a rebooted version for the Switch or something.

Also yes, Dylas best.

The dialogue that Kriem has to her husband is so funny, she starts normal and then keeps losing it, It is the same voice actress that does Kaguya:

"Khe.... What is it, Siegfried-sama? Do you have anything to say to your wife whom you couldn't even love, you bastard?! DON'T TOUCH ME! Your heroism will stick to me! I wasn't worth more than to be a berserker anyways... So I'm not someone a great and glorous hero (sarcastic) such as your person should worry about! That's all, I'm taking my leave if you don't mind!"

But then, with Sieg, who kinda used Siegfried's body and name in Fate/Apocrypha, she starts acting like a mother to him, it is so fucking sweet

"You...have the same scent as my husband...your name? Sieg...you are called Sieg...don't take this the wrong way. Change your name. Immediately. Like 'Hans', or 'Schmidt', somewhere along those lines. If you don't, you're bound to do some heroic deed and die with a peaceful look on your face. Stop right there...just now...you averted your gaze, didn't you? Stop. Stop right there! Right, sit down! You will be telling me aallll of the things you've done..."

Siegfried and Sieg are cute as heck together.

On the final route of Olympia Soiree and am I the only one who didn't notice that Akaza had glasses until it was mentioned he wasn't wearing them. I had to squint to see them. I admit, I kind of need a break from playing my Switch for a little while though.

What should I play after this game, Cupid Parasite or Variable Barricade?

A bit self centered, but how about Cupid Parasite?
I've been thinking about getting it, so I'd like someone's opinion on it.

Yeah, I was leaning toward that one actually I like the aesthetic, very pleasing to the eye

sorry I haven't gone though the entire thread, does anyone else play Tears of Themis?

it's made by the MiHoYo same as genshin but it's otome themed with a young lawyer and her four love interests, it's also a card builder with the cards having the more romance themes. I've been on break for a few months but I did like logging in for a few minutes a day to do things

I used to love Nintendogs on Nintendo DS. I wish there was a Switch sequel.

So I have played most of the common route, it is a very colorful game. You basically play as cupid who came down to Earth after realizing that courtship practices among humans changed and are trying to reverse the declining birth and marriage rates so you went to college to study psychology and got a job at a matchmaking service as a dating coach for various men who for a variety of reasons have a hard time getting dates. I am starting with Ryuki's route which is the fashion designer guy with unrealistic beauty standards, it is recommended you start with either him or Shelby.

That sounds pretty interesting, and it's also pretty unique for an otome game.

I look forward to your opinion about the guys individual routes.
Do you do all of them, or just the ones that interest you?

I try to do all of them as it gives you a really cool overall experience of the story.

I do all of the routes, most games encourage you do all of them because you unlock additional routes and other stuff in the games. What I usually do is just do the good endings. I hate Steam Prison because it wants you to get every single ending before you unlock the finale route and not just the best ending which a lot of games expect you to do.

My mom actually was the one who got me into gaming as a kid. I would sneak out of my room at night to hide under her bed and watch her play Zelda II.

I always go back to Animal Crossing ever since I got to have the first one on the GC when I was little. So many fond memories of my best friend coming over and us taking turns fishing and harrassing the villagers. I used to bring my GC to my nana's on event days (meteor shower, 4th of July) just to make sure I could see em.

DS era I would play wild world with the boys on the bus. We would share a cheat card and give ourselves millions of bells. The bus was the best back then, so many kids had a DS and we would have 2 full rosters of mario cart going on at the same time.

New leaf era was when I got competitive with my town and filled it with fancy shit.

Now with new horizons I make up my own fun. Feel much too old to be playing but it still makes me happy.

Beyond that, all of the Sims series (Urbz, anyone?), Petz series, Yoshis Island, and the Harvest Moon series are a few off the top of my head that I was addicted to. I liked making slutmen in the sims and making my whole town end up related to each other. So many mods I wanted on the Sims that I got my first new graphics card as a kid and that set me on the track to working on computers in general.

And then the more modern Fire Emblem games I've been told is 'girly' with all the relationship stuff; Fates and Three Houses each I got hooked on. Can't wait for a new one to be announced

I had The Urbz for GBA, pretty fun game, though the character customization was weak.
The simlish version of black eyed peas songs still crack me up- sad the gba version didn't have those

The closest thing on Switch is this game. Little Friends: Dogs and Cats.

The Dogz games are actually the localized Japanese game series "Kawaii Koinu". All of the same developer. I really liked the Dogz 2 game on Gameboy Advance as a kid. They're really well-made. The western covers of the game really discredit them as they come across as shovelware.
