I don't think trannies are qualified to talk about "girly" games. Or is that why it's in quotations? Because video games are as girly as men in skirts are?

I mean, if there was a woman's tournament for Pokemon or anything like that, 99.9 percent of the participants would be troons because no actual woman who plays video games is autistic enough to play video games competitively

Dress up games are an autistic guilty pleasure of mine too. Azalea's are definitely some of the best ones out there, but her recent games have much more limited options in comparison to her old ones, which is a shame. Maybe she's getting tired of putting all that effort in. I know Rinmaru officially retired from making games a year or so ago because she just grew out of it (which is completely understandable but also a big RIP because hers were good too).
Really? I thought she was overhauling the website or focusing more on her mini games. Ascension (I think) with the moon elf Xander was really fun tbh.

I wouldn’t call Bayonetta “girly” considering the obvious target audience but it’s an amazing game.
Target audience is one thing but if you watch any of the interviews or behind the scenes footage of the artist, Mari Shimazaki, who created Bayo's design, it really feels like Bayo is her own perfect dreamgirl, and also the ideal lesbian domme mommy that geeky bisexual teenage girls have closeted fantaises about.

(excuse me while i become autistic):

A lot of people, particularly feminists, assert that Mari wasn't really the brainchild behind Bayo's design and that she simply was following strict orders and guidelines by the game's director Hideki Kamiya, shifting the blame for Bayo's sex appeal onto him since he's a man, and technically her boss. But in reality, he gave her extremely limited and vague bulletpoints with what to work with, such as "female, modern witch, with guns." Everything else was up to Shimazaki herself, and what she came up with was what we got. Obviously Kamiya approved of her design because it's in the game, so he's still "to blame" but I never got a feel that Bayo was his fantasy girl. Looking at other characters she did designs for, they also have this exaggerated sexiness to them that is consistent with her style, so it's hardly contained to just Bayonetta and working under Kamiya.

On another note, I can't imagine a bunch of straight dude-bros tasked with creating the "perfect woman" ending up with Bayonetta. I think it's more accurate to say they'd come up with some Pamela Anderson looking blonde tan bimbo with a super hourglass figure wearing a thong.

Don't know about you guys, but I really like games where you can decorate rooms and stuff. I know Animal Crossing is an obvious choice, but I really think back to the days where I was playing my copy of Ruby and decorating my secret base and spending all the time doing that. It was so fun. I also like Story of Seasons/Harvest Moon games for that reason even though outside always looked like crap and inside my house always looked organized.

I am kind of sad that the 4th gen remakes got rid of all the secret base decorations in favor of ugly statues that allow you to get Pokemon. I wish they still had furniture.

Try Stardew Valley and The Longing bet you would enjoy those games

What about The Sims? Many people prefer to decorate the houses and everything than to play with the sims. The Sims 4 has a solid building and decorating system.

I didn't get that impression from her big goodbye message. You can't even access her old games anymore unless you find them on a different site. If she is overhauling it then she's taking her sweet time, because it hasn't been updated since. I enjoyed Ascension but wasn't interested enough to check out her other VNs. Either way, she's definitely done with dress up games.

Also I love decorating in games too. I always enjoyed setting up my secret base in Pokémon Sapphire, that was a cute little feature.

Oh believe me, I have played the crap out of Stardew Valley, but there have been updates with new stuff since I stopped playing it, I might pick it up again.

I used to play The Sims a lot with my one Jewish friend as a kid back in the day, I might try it out.

Right now I am on an otome game kick. I do want to try Nightshade as it does have an English option built in except it is super expensive, same with Steam Prison.

The major update basically doubled the gameplay imo, I play very casually and without any real strategy but I definitely enjoyed the game a lot more after the big update. I used to pretty much abandon save files after Grandpa's analysis.

Do not go down the mod rabbit hole. That's when the game really becomes digital crack. For me, anyway. I dismissed the mods for a long time. Then I discovered Stardew Valley Expanded. I now have nearly 30 mods installed and counting.

If you do jump down the rabbit hole, don't use a mod manager. Few major mods recommend using one. The process of installing the majority of modd is pretty much plug and play. Just install SMAPI and drop the mod files into the game's mod folder.

Found out Rune Factory 4 had a PC port last night. Pretty good port so far. Was surprised to see a Japanese game support resolutions above 1080p.

I mostly used a few quality of life improvement mods back in the day, but nothing too serious. I have a lot of other games I want to play right now at the moment.

Right now I am playing Cafe Enchante and in that game one of the options you can date among a bunch of supernatural beings is a glowie.

Why is Animal Crossing considered a girly game anyway? To me it seems very gender neutral. I feel like more girls play sims than boys though so maybe it's related?

Probably? I mean, The Sims is pretty gender neutral as well, but is frequently considered a girly game. I guess because games like this and Animal Crossing are dress-up dolls combined with customizable doll houses, and in the Sims, other play sets as well. But in my head I see both as gender neutral and not overly girly.

The more autistic it is, the less girly it is

When have you ever seen a girl play cities skylines?

Eh IDK if zoo sims are counted as girly but they feel that way since they're cutesy sometimes. I really like Planet Zoo (Zoo Tycoon but roided the fuck up) and a Let's Build a Zoo have been my vice lately. With Let's build you can genetically combine animals to make new ones and you can decorate your zoo to be really cool or fit certain aesthetics. It's a calming game. Planet Zoo is anything but calming but you can zoom in and really examine the enclosures and how you control the park. It is very fun if you like a really intensive management sim. If anyone knows any good aquarium simulators please recommend
