Pity, I'd enjoy a decent tactical game with raifus if it wasn't a gacha skinner box.
Doesn't sound bad. Worst thing about gacha games is the progress is gated, if they just wanted you to do gacha shit for cosmetics or bonuses or to make the game easier that'd be one thing, but they all seem to balance around whales.

Honkai Impact runs an event celebrating the anniversary of the English release? Better scream and cry and shit our pants until they cancel it!
Why...?

from what I remember the chinese version got wedding dresses, the global version bunny outfits, complete with "suggestive" video.
can't have your pure waifu slut it up for the gweilos, so chimpout it is.

there was some other retarded shit with someone trying to knife the boss of mihoyo (can't remember if it was in relation to that or the not!chinese god character being weak on release) or the "fanbase" having their own total retard war over liking a certain character: https://old.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/15d9tpv/cn_scara_drama_the_whole_story/

not even related to gatcha, CN internet would be a constant source for lolcows and stupid shit, but it's gated behind the language barrier (which might be a positive, all things considered).

- This game, alongside Azur Lane and Honkai Impact 3rd had a LOT of yurishit, as in, actual lesbian relationships that were present in-game but later years had it toned down or removed due to CCP interference. That being said, the game is heavily filled with yurishit regardless. In the past, it was often called "Gay Frontlines" for the obvious relationships of several characters (HK416 & M16, M4A1 and one other ringleader, the UMP characters). Even in the changed version, some of the yurishit still lingers (M950 and Triple Action Thunder and in the manga, its a female commander). This is why a large chunk of the fanbase are yuri types.
Azur Lane I think had 2 implied, one of them played for laughs and one one with the Italian girl with green hair. I thought coomers would like that, their girlfriend bringing her "friends" along.... but do tell me more, for, research. But CN can go crazy. I can understand them getting angry if the cucking is implied, and for autists, the gun in question was the sacred CCCP gun which only fuelled their awootism.

This game does have Israeli girls, or at least Negev, source of many memes.

I'm probably reading way, way too much into a chink gacha game, but it is a tiny bit sus the chinks get wholesome wedding dresses and we get bunny sluts. Kinda reminds me of TikTok, how it's like a positive kinda learning app sort of thing in China but we get the mind poison version.

Unless Azur Lane is playing 1488D chess, it is because the CCCP doesn't allow coomer stuff and the companies have to swallow the loss of some profit instead the loss of all profit.

They even had to name change the Japanese girls. Likely they are just going after sex sells and try to recoomperate losses in EN and JP markets. At least for Azur Lane I think CN gets no outfits, however they get more free gifted resources instead.

Now I think of it, Azur Lane has a lot of suspicious sister interactions.... and has a character named Alabama...

Might be an unpopular opinion here… but Genshin Impact
Is pretty good when it comes to gameplay and that is a gacha game.
played the game one time and my experience went like this:

>see a big open world with enemies in the distance to kill, camps to loot, other things to do besides strictly following the story
>attempt to explore
>paimon physically wont let you, if you go past a certain point the game scolds you and she escorts you back into the designated play area
>one time it happened while i was exploring near some cliffs
>accidentally crossed the invisible no fun border
>paimon escorted me back into the play area and immeadiately threw me off a cliff into a completely unavoidable death
>punished for exploring in an open world game
>immeadiately unistalled afterwards, didnt even bother trying the gacha system

as @Male Idiot mentioned, china has a much tighter lid on smut than the rest of the world. there are probably mods out there to lewd up everything, but given their internet much more under the hood and harder to find, meaning not every pleb and youtube influencer can install and talk about it.
not sure about chinese laws, but if you wanna see crazy look at some stuff south korea is up to when it comes to porn.

>punished for exploring in an open world game
so you didn't see the big fucking red line pointing out where the area ends and the red pulsing minimap, and still decided to run into it, on top of a cliff no less?

that's kinda like saying "cod doesn't let me noclip out of the map, 0/10 shit game uninstalled".

no i dont have an issue with that i just was annoyed that their system for keeping players inside their little playpen was so poorly implimented it will hurl them off of cliffs, if the system for keeping players inside the designated area didnt have the potential to lock them into an animation that killed them i wouldnt care. it seemed like they were prioritizing personality above doing things the sensible way, when a player goes up to the border just treat it like a wall instead of doing the cutesy paimon escort animation if they arent going to make it avoid killing you, i am of the belief that if implimenting personality means gameplay is worse then they just shouldnt have fucking bothered. i uninstalled the game because i figured if they were too retarded to get somethign as simple as a barrier that served the express pupose of not letting you go into certain areas until you progressed enough correct, then the rest of the game might have similar issues so it wasnt worth my time. the point wasnt 'muh exploration', it was that the dumbasses failed at something that should have been very simple because they wanted to do a character thing.

I barely understand what they implemented based on your description but it sounds way better than some invisible barrier.

keep in mind it's a game for phones, if you get turned around you just have to keep pressing forward. getting moved also keeps you from potentially getting stuck (and even if you get stuck afterwards you can port, a loading-screen loop or the games cheat detection spazzing out because it thinks you're somewhere you shouldn't be would be much worse).
it also explains what's actually happening and why, now think of the average "gamer" (who might also confuse it with lag otherwise). plus being more "immersive" since there's no wall stopping you but paimon (or something else).

all in all it shouldn't matter since the spots you can actually die from getting turned around are rare, and once experienced anywhere else it should be easy to assume what will happen if you do it on top of a cliff.
just seems strange judging the whole game on that alone, that's all.

I barely understand what they implemented based on your description but it sounds way better than some invisible barrier.
you just get turned around 180° with a little dialog and walk back a few steps instead of running into an invisible wall
the female voice is your main character voice in case you're wondering.

it happened to me multiple times int he first couple of hours, i dont like dying repeatedly for things that were beyond my control. sometimes there are points of interest right by the edge, like enemies or something, and they knock me over the stupid line.

I used to play this but I dropped it because the grind just kept increasing and the story moves glacially slow. A period of time that is supposedly only a month or so in-universe has taken more than 5 irl years and still isn't finished.

@WULULULULU
For someone that has been in this thread complaining about how shit the games are, you sure know a lot about them. I guess you can be a fan of the drama without being a fan of the game but bruuuh.

I thought that gamers lived vicariously through their game characters while playing the game, that's almost a bit of the point of playing games. But damn, some people don't even seem to be able to plug out. These cuck reviews have to be some of the most insane and depressing lines of text I've ever read. I guess there's no stoping the sex-doll-AI-future.
At least we can look forward to all the basic bitches on Only-Fans hitting rock bottom as they spiral out of control trying to compete with this kind of stuff.

True, but it's always over the dumbest, most banal shit imaginable. Honkai Impact runs an event celebrating the anniversary of the English release? Better scream and cry and shit our pants until they cancel it! Random Japanese V-tubers showcase their viewer demographics and mention that a lot of viewership comes from Taiwan? Fire them! Kill them! Send their decapitated heads to us on a platter!

They're basically spoiled children who blow all their cash on stupid shit and get retardedly angry when they're not the center of attention in everything. The sad part is that it fucking works, because these motherfuckers are the biggest goddamn whales in the market, so everything must conform to satisfy them.
Look up the term "Little Emperor". It's "what happens when you don't say no" on steroids.

China was supposed to get the bunny outfits, too, but CCP laws. So Global gets it and they get wedding outfits... which if I remember right Global would also get. So instead of going after the people who are forcing the yuribait company to scale it back some wackadoo decides to try to kill the CEO of Mihoyo. Which I could understand if it was over their gacha system or garbage rates, but nah it was over something beyond their control.

Just China things.

the "fanbase" having their own total retard war over liking a certain character: https://old.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/15d9tpv/cn_scara_drama_the_whole_story/
Of course the Genshin fanbase melts down over the two characters that looks like a 12 year old boys.

I don't remember the tutorial locking you into areas. The gameplay area itself is limited by areas that aren't implemented yet, which is understandable. Paimon killing you by forcing you to jump off a cliff is a meme in the community.

To be fair, the AL anime adaptation also had some yuri moments in it since there was more control there over the game in question. One other similarity in the older versions between GFL and AL is that their mascots, Kar98k and Enterprise, also are more into girls apparently. Don't take my word as gospel, just heard it via /vmg/ and the /gfg/ general thread as well as reddit.
Okay I want to hear the story behind that. I know there are Israeli guns, but that's true to a lot of other countries weaponary.
From the reddit thread
CN players believe the writers are tryna wage war on those are against GFL2 stories / ideals.

CN players claim MICA is supporting jewish beliefs and other "foreign propaganda" and that MICA is incorporating them into their game via Lounges Characters Books.

(NOTE: Jedisum is allergedly illigal in CN)

THE BOOKS -

"the Book of esther" hebrew bible -

(Im not going to explain what the "book of esther" story is and i hope someone who is jewish can explain in the comment section. And the reason why is because religious stories tend to have hidden meanings / culture references which mainly can only be understood by those who study/leant the religion and since im not jewish im not going to bother to assume i know better .. even though ive read the story)

"Things Fall Apart" By Chinua Achebe - centers on the Igbo and native culture, and the effects colonization has on an area

"The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood - a woman's struggles in a totalitarian society where her identity, fertility and freedoms are suppressed

CN's INTERPRETATION -

Esthers in hebrew translate to "star". Which the GFL2 writers pen name allegedly also happens to be "star".

"The handmaids tale".. CN believes the writer is tryna say; the commander is a slave owner/the oppressor and the "waifus" want their own lifes/the oppressed.

"Things fall apart" .. CN believes is the writers way to mock the commander (i dont wanna go into too much detail cause the subject relates to suicide).

CN has intrepeted the stories to be a way for the writer to "indirectly" express their discontent towards the players because the common thematic in these stories tends to be about "the oppressed" fighting against the "oppressors".

In other words: The Players Vs The Writers.

MICA's RESPONSE -

the situation got soo bad soo quickly MICA had to hotfix the game to remove the "allegedly offensive" content as CN was "allegedly" reporting them to the goverment.

Chink seething is always fun. Do you know they don't have Arisaka rifles or Nambu pistols (they only have post-war Japanese guns or minor stuff like their SMG and Garand copy)? One wonders why. For what mysterious reason there could be a ban on several of the few "indigenous" Asian guns pre-WW2..... one wonders.
I am not updated with the game since I quit a very long time after being duped by some gunfags here in my country to play this shit but the fact that this has gone unnoticed makes you really wonder. Though this is kinda related since the VA for a few gacha characters had to be replaced because it had something to do with a Japanese war memorial or some shit.
For someone that has been in this thread complaining about how shit the games are, you sure know a lot about them. I guess you can be a fan of the drama without being a fan of the game but bruuuh.
To be honest, I kinda hate the game out of spite. Its not even fun, I hate the game for the dogshit story, balancing and fuckawful gacha mechanics and the fanbase for its disgusting "gun"-fags that either crossdress, drama-whore or go full schizo territory when it comes to lore that it makes Souls lore look tame in comparison. The drama(s) can hopefully shed a light on what happens when you revolve a portion of your life on a gacha game.

Also, as someone who really loves the aesthetics for guns and guns in general, they are so shit on gun design that they may as well have their gun rights taken away and given instead to the local rednecks. For reference you can spot a GFL fan if:
  • they put gun stickers and keychains on their guns (often shared with the Blue Archive fanbase)
  • they care more about the waifu than the gun (I mean sex sells sure but come on, its a waste of an armament), most notable if they stick their finger on a gun's magazine chamber
  • they crossdress on airsoft and live fire testings

From the reddit thread
How the fuck is it a Jew conspiracy when only one of the three is a bible story that is before the birth of christ And the rest are non Jew writers? Also ironically the story itself is very chauvinistic and is basically a guy selling his nephew to the royal court to one up an evil vizier that wanted to kill all the Jews. The supposedly feminist element is that the setup is that the sultan's former wife didn't obey him to dance naked in front of his friends, but she is basically there for the prologue.

Though this is kinda related since the VA for a few gacha characters had to be replaced because it had something to do with a Japanese war memorial or some shit.

One of the VAs visited the Yasukuni Shrine. It's a shrine to the Japanese war dead with an attached museum, and it has a ... let us say, peculiar viewpoint. I visited it a few years ago and it's a nice museum, but even the English cards and pamphlets could not hide a very nationalistic point of view. Plus, they do honour people that are considered war criminals in other Asian countries. The only thing they regret about WW2 is losing it.

Chinks and Koreans get ballistic on the subject: in Europe national hatreds have been slowly succumbed to the fact that everyone is a bitch to the Americans, but in Asia the WW2 hatred still goes strong, even amongst supposed "allies". So, the fact that in GFL the Chinese guns are almost all top-tier and widely represented while the mainstay Japanese weapons do not exist should not surprise anyone: people would probably have knifed someone if we got an Arisaka in.
