The thing that sucks about physical dps is that the ruin enemies have fucking 70% physical res. Really good for treasure hoarders/fatui though.
And the worst part of double pyro by far is only having one xingqiu. I'm not sure how well Mona fills in for him. I still havent got her.
Mona is great overall. Offensively not as good as Xingqiu to combo stuff but can provide breathers and apply hydro on desperation without being close. Mine is squishy since I can't really build her well, but she is key in farming witch artifacts. Xingqiu is just 40.

The nickname of the game is Pyro Impact for a good reason. Pyro has access to both vaporize and melt, making it have the highest dmg threshold. Its 3 5 stars are also all great DPS number wise so its not bad to rely on it at all atm barring a massive meta shake up which won't hit for a while if the datamines thus far are right.

Fischl is an amazing support because she applies off-field and is a decent/good battery for energy for ults. Obviously the more cons the better, but there aren't realistically that many 4 stars in the game and each banner features 3 so you'll get her over time.

Diona is slept on by too many people, her shield is great and she cleanses which is really important on floor 11.

Alright, I can proceed then.

Not sure I can get Fischl copies any soon. I plan to aim for Liyue character or weapon banners. Let's see how further banners go.

Diona is great. It also helps building her as support isn't hard.

Is two pyro dps excessive and be considered an overinvestment ?

A while ago before Hutao came, I considered Razor to lead my 2nd abyss team but to build him up was too much a pain in the ass( pain on waiting for exp books + decision to spend resin on other things like electro hypostasis instead of complete artifact devotion ) and ended with too many low lvl characters (beidou, chongyun) which should have a good chance for the spotlight.

So far I decided: Diluc, Bennett, Mona and Diona
Hu Tao, Xingqiu, Jean and Sucrose

I am also not sure if Fischl was a great decision on my part as well. She is 80 and with basic artifacts but at C0, long ES CD and her artifact farming gave dumb results.

Pyro is great overall, but I think i start to rely on it alone too much.
I've heard two pyro doesn't really work with hu tao since her base attack stat is shit. Two cryo is better with her.

1. Xiangling w/ at least C1 is amazing with her because it debuffs pyro. With C6 she becomes even better.
2. Bennett is also really good with her, get her low, stand in his Q, pop her E then her Q immediately. Fuckton of dmg.

Meant more due to the elemental affinity system. Which is usually the big reason people want to pyros.

He cucks you out of super conduct though. Like if youre using Crescent Pike Xiao/Xiangling/Zhongli or physical Keq/Kaeya with SC. I think it also overrides electro infusion like on Keqing and Beidou, not 100% sure on that. But yeah its not that many characters.

yeah, using a phys damage weapon doesn't make much sense, same as a phys goblet or the BC set. in exchange you could use the new cryo set and another weapon which might even give you a damage increase. can't say anything about xiao/john lee, but the others should be fine. xianling could even be great for her own melt combo since EM is her stat and anything else boosts ATK independent of type. keq can be run as phys, which would then just become cryo for SC triggers. would make her first passive pointless, but the SC would make up for it, while still giving you electro for the time it's on cooldown.
beidou's (at least on paper, who knows how it it works under the hood) should be able to trigger her own SC too since the 20% electro are on top the normal damage and scaling from it, doesn't need to be phys, and doesn't infuse (and the 20% only trigger after taking damage, which you don't want if you use serpent spine, so there's that too).

you could probably make it work with most of the chars, it just takes a bit more effort than what people usually do with "take weapon with highest number, put matching ele set + goblet on char, mash button".

The damage potential of pyro and its reactions are pretty busted, easy to do, and relatively cheap so its makes sense to go with it. Those teams seem like they would be great for abyss, its all an artifact and dps check anyway so you should just run whoever will clear it or get you more stars.

don't forget pyro + dendro applies a dot, shit's gonna be even more whack in the future. and if they nerf it (which they have to do at some point) the chinks are probably get pissy again.

Yeah I like Chongus, mine is 80/80 right now, he just isnt super plug and play. Once I finish my Kaeya build in 2024 I cant wait to take him back off the bench. The thing that I hate is that on freeze comps Diluc often shatters instead of melts even if you use his E or pyro imbued normals.

worse, shatter does piss damage on top if the removing the CC effect of the freeze. doing oceanid with a GS char is suffering.

Ended up getting into Genshin recently. Still working on the story, but I'm having a pretty good time so far... except for in the Dragonspine area, which is a bitch to get through, especially since the only Pyro I had when going through it the first time was Amber, and I either suck at aiming the bow, or the mouse sensitivity when aiming is low. One of the two. Game is hella pretty, though.

Ready for more shitty fucking fetch quests for random copypaste NPCs and lantern rite-tier timegating?

Anyone else left the Dragonspire area alone. Like I know if I die I'll just regenerate and I know there's ways to alleviate the cold's affects but I'm not really feeling that area, frankly. I should try to explore it now that the main story is done, currently.

Shit, I didn't know Godzilla is so useless against shields. Still there's Oceanid to beat, last attempt went tits ups since Hu Tao is REALLY not ready for the damage the enemies bring to the table and how aggressive they are.
After finishing grinding for levels, how exactly can I grind for artifacts (for level up)? Also is Primogems ever become any easier to get?

1. Primos get harder to get for free, and are mostly locked to your commission + the current event once quests and chests dry up. Unless you pay of course.

2. There are plenty of mapped out courses for where you can find a lot of low level artifacts:

3. You'll get more artifacts you can't use doing the domains at AR45 than you can use, so that provides a ton of fodder as well tbh.

If I were a new player I would definitely leave it for after you do Liyue, yeah. Its a really well designed place though. More compactly/densely designed than the other 2 regions. Just have a pyro character in your team so you can melt ice and light torches/campfire. Tons of chests and quests and a free 4* Claymore.

I found Dragonspire to be quite fun to explore, though starting to explore it now would be more of a pain than when it was first introduced. There was an event running that gave you a weapon that not only grew stronger as your progressed through the event (eventually becoming rather ridiculously broken) but also reduced the rate you grew cold, making exploring without setting everything on fire much more forgiving. That said, after finding just about everything in Dragonspire I have essentially no reason to ever go back there aside from eventually farming cryo artifacts.

1.4 has them rumored patching out dragonstrike. For those who doesn't know this, it is a stylish gimmick which permits claymore characters (Diluc, Razor, Beidou) to take advantage of a hitlag, dash + jump out of it and creating a jump that is normally higher than usual, allowing plunge attacks. Thanks to @Jiji420 for informing GI Kiwis before.

And we have this bullshit. Guard your accounts well, dear Kiwis.

The new Visual Novel kinda thingy they added is alright.

Everything that fleshes out the characters and gives them some extra personality or memorable moments is a plus in my book. Even though I am really not a fan of Visual Novels, I got all the endings for best girl Noelle and the first time I did it I got the imo best ending (ending 6, wouldn't want to spoil anything). It's also content that won't get locked after a certain amount of time, it's in the game forever, which is also great.

A couple of new characters got leaked/datamined yesterday. Yanfei a Pyro 4* Catalyst user and Eula a 5* Cryo Claymore user

Eula: https://twitter.com/dimbreathjr/status/1371897609347076104

Also, if you do the Chongyun quest you should just look up the route. Having to go through the dialogue through the 3 NPCs like four fucking times was so time consuming and painful.

Edit: Also the genshin twitter is crying about the leaks lol https://twitter.com/GenshinImpact/status/1372142017053003778
