As you get higher up that gatcha elements get kind of bad. Like "you can only get so much Adventure Level exp per day, there are no more story missions/side quest/chests" left kind of bad and the whole game turns into a massive level up sink to gear up characters/weapon/relics.

Which is kind of funny. You can reuse relics/weapons, but you actually want a small selection of characters since every dupe from the banners actually makes a character stronger.....but the thrill is getting new characters to explore how to build a better team/see how they play. Its also better if you go into this game realizing that after exploring the world its kind of a "play for 30 min or less every day" kind go game. Like you log in, do the commission missions, burn you resin (either getting items for characters, levels, etc), dick around exploring and then log out. Every couple of days you try you hand at one of the Banners or do a deep dive until the Spiral Abyss. And honestly? As some one with not a lot of time to play all of that is not that bad. The game really only cost money for the impatient.

It's decent to play on my phone and that's good enough for me.

Imagine finding a gacha game with all of its features borrowed from other games fun.

I hate the gacha genre so much.

wait what, playstation has spyware? damn, better write them a facebook message from my google phone the chinks might get my throwaway email and vpn ip!

I hate this game.

genshen impact's success in grafting mobile gacha into a narrative game plus successfully launching simultaneous mobile and consoles ports is going to disfigure the industry even more than it already is. games will be "free" in the sense that mobile games are "free." a no cover-charge experience designed to milk retards.
EA and NRS have already done that with fully priced retail games.

I think the problem is that most games are shit. The gacha element has positive impacts, so long as F2P/low spenders can still clear all content. Why? Because in a standard game, there's no reason to create so many characters/equipment and most players won't experiment with 90% of them.

Do treasure chests respawn at all? Rather eager to pop the last couple of trophies, but probably going to resort to a guide for these.

Yes, but feels like they do so at random. Common chests seem to respawn the most often, with only a couple of the rarer varieties coming back every week or two.

there are more chests than the fixed amount for the achievement, and apparently there's an item coming to find them easier in 1.1, if you're not in a hurry just wait. since everything seems to have it's own respawn timer in some way the longer you wait the more stuff should have respawned as well.

My main issue with Genshin Impact community is that most people tend to rush the game than rather enjoy playing it. I don't know people seems rushing the game to get higher rank and I'm still at Rank 5 because I want to enjoy the exploration and story

shit games conditioning people to bumrush levelcap because MUH ENDGAME, I mainly blame WoW for that.

however there first was to get to ar20 for barb (although there was enough time to hit it casually), now to get abyss floors 9-12 done for the primos every reset. there's also some events etc I think have a rank requirement (coop event was 20 too, this one was 7 or something. least they are clear what you need to do).
but there's nothing wrong with sitting back and enjoying the ride either. just make sure to burn your resin every day.

Fwiw, I cracked AR40 last night with the accompanying world level boost, and fights actually take skill now. It took me twice as long to take down the oceanid as usual. Granted, I still need to advance two party members, but it's a notable difficulty spike. It's not unwelcome, I'm enjoying needing to think about positioning and elements. Resources might become an issue soon, though. I was planning on rushing my main party to cap and taking my time with the rest of the characters while I wait for the update, but I might need to prioritize building new teams for specific challenges.

Probably put about 30 hours by now with AR 26. I have the hero, Xianling, Barbara and either Noelle or Amber depending on whether I need a greatsword or someone with a bow. Fights are starting to feel far better with more emphasis on comboing elements rather than blindly attacking. Overall the game is solid, but the normal enemy variety is really low.
