They revealed the cast.
  • Amber: Kelly Baskin
  • Barbara: Laura Stahl
  • Diluc: Sean Chiplock
  • Jean: Stephanie Southerland
  • Kaeya: Josey Montana McCoy
  • Lisa: Mara Junot
  • Razor: Todd Haberkorn
  • Venti: Erika Harlacher

Erika Harlatcher is amazing as Ann Tamaki but like....the problem is that she can only really do one voice. Its kind of distracting.

I started like a week ago. Despite my computer not having a lot of juice, it still looks good and handles well in lowest settings. Setting up a controller was a pain in the ass and it's all backwards and shit (B confirms, A cancels). I hate the chinks (I used to play another chink game where red was confirm and green was cancel).

It's an OK game I guess. I haven't played too much but I'm sure that once I get into it, I'll hit a paywall.

which controller? the game should support it natively, I get wireless support without xinput emulation, blows my mind because that's some shit you don't even see from big AAA studios.
the input scheme is the default asian one (circle for confirm, cross for cancel), they usually change it for the west, on ps4 it's like you'd expect, but in menus only.

there's also not really a paywall, at some point content just stops like in an early access game. you can dump money into it, but there's not really any reason to (unless you really like to play with a certain character).

3rd party Switch Pro. I managed to get it to work through Steam.

third party can have some weird issues that makes supporting them more annoying.
but if it works in steam it shouldn't be much of a problem when it takes care of basic support.

also, word of advice, make sure to burn your resin.

This game has decided to shit itself and do nothing.
My screen keeps freezing, even though the game is running. Alt +F4 and restarting the game returns it to normal, but it's incredibly annoying that I have to do that every 10-15 minutes.
The fixes I've tried just crash it on the loading screen.

It seems there's an update soon. Hope it fixes the issue.

I haven't experienced anything like that; I've just noticed that the built in web browser that displays screens like upcoming events and notices tends to shit itself and use large amounts of processing power to do what looks like absolutely nothing.

Have you tried not saying anything positive about Taiwan and Hong Kong?

any other games having any issues? driver up to date? technically it works fine for me so far.

After days of grinding, I finally unlocked anime girl mario. Didn't pay a thing for them either. My world level increased from my exploration and as a result now everything kills me in a few hits if I'm not careful, but there's some interesting new enemies like this fat dude with a ice spewing leaf blower thing so that's cool.

it took me till yesterday to notice this, but there's a dungeon that actually awards you with the primo shit thats used for rolls. It's a weird portal thing off on some island you can warp to if you find a floating blue ball in the sky over by the not-tarreytown area.
Speaking of areas, I don't know when the area that causes your screen to flash red and respawns you back in the non-red lined area if you go into it for too long opens up. There's paths leading into it, and there's clearly stuff over there. The borders they set up for where it does that are so inconsistent and annoying. There's been countless times where I'd be doing a challenge and suddenly everythings flashing red because I'm ever so slightly close to the red wall part of the map and it somehow counts as part of it.

I'm honestly surprised this game isn't banned in china despite having china connections, due to things like the entire china themed region just having all kinds of negative china stereotypes. Guess it's ok when it's china in everything but name to pooh?

So I decided to do some summons on the klee banner and instead I got diluc instead, which is pretty cool

I got Klee on my 20th roll I think.

One, but I don't play it.

Apparently it's a common issue among Intel GPUs. One fix some people posted was to download Valorant and leave it running on the background. That would kill my laptop lol.

They probably know about my shitposting here...

Edit: I think update is live. Something failed unpacking for me. Downloading 12.2 GB.

Looks like Christmas came early as the game welcomes Zhongli and Xinyan to the roster. PR has been going all out with Zhongli's ad campaign prior to the banner. :optimistic: I hope to get Razor or Xinyan on my next round of pulls.

As for how I felt for the game itself, I'm nearing AR35. At least in my game it's becoming an EXP and money vacuum with the big lot of characters I'm taking care of. My biggest regret would be not focusing on a main team instead of switching between characters for different enemies. Trying to make up for that mistake before hitting AR40 or so. On the bright side though, co-op with friends was great fun.

curious if it will make more money than klee, that banner made like 150 million in 3 days or something. otoh never underestimate the power of fujos...

you could get razor first month for glitter (imo he really looses a bit at higher level, if you got xianling she's probably more versatile). xinyan will be in the standard banner after 1.2 (and probably in the shop at some point), so if you only care about those two might wanna save rolls for later (and depends how close you are to pity etc.)

it's not too bad, you want your supports at least 60 in the end for the last talent, some chars can be even lower. and that really only matters in abyss and possibly storm terror, the rest you can get carried in coop. there's also no need to level as fast as possible, it's gonna take you a few weeks to raise AR anyway and that happens automatically while burning resin, plenty of time to farm stuff.
after 35/40 check when domains unlock, can't remember exactly what unlocks when, but between 40-45 it's better to farm weapon mats, since the last stage with the best rewards unlock at 40, and talent books only at 45, so focus your resin on that (iirc, might get the level ranges wrong. just check what unlocks sooner and change accordingly). artifacts before 45 is a waste of time and resin, the drops you find along the way should be able to carry you up to 45-50.
also blossoms are a good source as well, even when tards on the internet whine about efficiency. first of all, you need it for the battle pass and you constantly gonna need the exp/mora anyway (yes, events have better ratio, but events are time limited and have limited quantity), the mobs still drop shit you need too, and the real farm starts after 45 with artifacts, which have such a shit dropchance for the good ones might not even bother with it.

Finally got Chongyun, which makes my new team be him, Barbara, Xiangling and Fischl. Lots of status effects and skills, but no real source of constant DPS.
If I could, I'd have Diluc, Fischl, Qiqi and Xinyan which should be far more aggressive without losing their utility, but the two five stars would need to have their own flags/events to have an actual chance of dropping.

Anyways I'm kinda running out of things to do since increasing the AC seems to have a high chance of blocking you from playing (because you can't revert world level to grind for boss ingredients).

pretty sure they end up on a banner at some point since I don't believe mihoyo is churning out 4 new characters every 6 weeks - that would seriously bloat the roster over time and I doubt even more that we'll get a new continent for those new characters every 3 months. a diluc/qiqi/kekqueen banner would also be literally free money since the characters are already in the game. wouldn't even put it past them to go full FOMO and have a weekly banner rotation as "event" for the old chars.

and I wouldn't worry too much about adventure rank, you don't have to do the quest immediately since you still get exp (dunno if it works forever or just that level, never tried it that long), and even then it's kinda overrated - there's no time limit and ample of space, so you can go full gorilla warfare if need be by killing one mob, run off and let the rest reset, repeat. just make sure your feather/flower is maxed for the ATK/HP and your main DPS is as high as possible with a maxed weapon since it will be on the field the most. only one that will give you trouble is wolf and possibly the other bosses since those scale automatically with AR (but can be coop-ed), stormterror/tortellini and domains you can downscale if need be, and besides stormterror all can be done in coop. domains even have an achievement for that (but for those you want to build other teams anyway to counter/exploit the element).

The devs should seriously rework elements and weapons to be more balanced. I find no real reason to use Wind element or regular swords. Also probably buff traveler to be more useful/unique and maybe cycle between multiple groups mid-combat.

So I got Childe and finally pimped him out to match my Diluc and Keqing(f2p btw) and he's really fun. With Qiqi he freezes all the time and his AoE is nothing to fuck with. I needed a decent bow user anyway so I'm glad I got him, but tbh I want Zhongli more. Gotta collect me them daddies.

anemo is fine, it works as CC and multiplier. geo is a bit more tricky since all it does is shields, although there are some chars which profit from it - also makes stuff easier. gotta have to wait and see how dendro interacts, but I can already seem them make it just "dof of element".
traveler decked out is a beast, can learn every element (later on) and has fairly unique skill interactions. imo kinda overlooked/underrated, especially geo (although as nice as the ele skill is, it's quite clunky to use in the middle of a fight). also easy to level since you get the important mats by raising AR.

only part that really annoys me is that every "challenging" content simply has a time limit slapped on it for ungabunga, which means burst > all and makes certain chars and combinations so much more valuable than others, and with 1.2 sounding like abyss 2.0 means it's already crap.
