I played a little of endfield, enough to start building power cables and a bit of exploring. Some late first impressions

-MC with amnesia but everyone recognizing them yet refusing to elaborate feels soooo lazy. Especially when you're basically the industrial jesus and everyone loves you. I even tried to be a jerk with Chen and she goes "thanks for the advice endmin i will improve uwu".

-I do not understand what our purpose is beyond "THE FACTORY MUST GROW". It's actually funny how hard the game leans on the ore being our only motivation. Like, saying the workers is explicitly optional and the risks don't matter, only the production.

-The combat is fun but feels kinda messy with 4 people and mindless with no cooldowns. I know haters will say genshin is just button mash rotation but at least there is a game plan there. I know there is some "combo system" but that has a cd (where?) so you'll rotate anyway. I can tell there is some stack system for physical atks so you want to do shit in the right order. But i feel like this combat will age badly just like star rail SP system did as it's prone to fast powercreep.

-I played more than 2 hours and i didn't meet a single cool guy, only the non threatnening joke bird man. Don't want to sound like a faggot but i think even wuwa gave me a free dude faster than this and was less pandering.

-I like how if you punch a tree everyone will join at fucking it up but i wish it was just faster.

-Designs are kinda over the place. I often heard Arkknights praised for "tacticool catgirls" but everyone in this game ranges from miniskirt waifus to goonbait. I got a panda and a lizard man but the women are girlies with tails? Gonna be one of those games huh...

-I did a 10 pull on the freebie banner and got the healer girl with sheep... Then i found out i get her for free for login after a week anyway. Did i brick my account? Is this the qiqi of endfield? I think her skill and burst has a chance to pop sheeps that i must get to heal which is annoying but oh well, i'm using her, perlica and chen.

I will probably play a bit more to finish the first chapter at least but idk if i will stick with it.

@LucasSomething Since I can reply, I'm gonna go through your points:

- I don't like it either, so I've been skipping through must of the story. According to people, the story gets better around the next area (China).

- The factory has to grow. You must bring civilazation to the heathens and sell them stuff to get rich so your factory grows more. I've honestly wasted so many hours trying to optimize stuff, that I'm level 50 and I still haven't reached the new area, which I should've done by now.

-The combat feels overwhelming at first, but once you get a team and start to play with them and familiarize yourself with them, it's not so bad. There is an indicator of the combo cooldown.

I still think you have to press to many buttons.

- You can bump into your teammates. They'll join you in mining, farming, and gathering (they can pick up loot). They even let you know if there's rare treasure nearby (watch out for the above their heads). If you see them standing in a spot for too long, they may have found something. They also protect themselves against AoE attacks (they'll go behind barricades or inside barriers).

- I don't mind their designs. I think they're fine.

- Your account isn't bricked. She's a decent support that's very flexible to slot in teams due to her application of Corrosion, Physical and Natural Susceptibility. Her heals are good too and you can get her BiS weapon by logging in.

This does lead me to remembering a funny moment during Laevatains companion quest where we see a vision of MC acting like a cult leader. Feels like the pipeline from universally beloved leader to cult is real lmao.

Speaking of Endfield, I am supremely retarded. For the longest time I struggled with logistics in my industrial revolutionary empire because I never bothered to put two and two together and use those goddamn depot busses.

I got a clue finally and actually started using them and what the fuck there's so much space now and I craft better gear and sell better shit.

I need to abuse those busses for my farming. I am going to make so many bombs now

The issue is actually space and making sure that everything connects, so I can get raw materials fed into processing unit #843. I thought I could only use the big main tower. But the depot busses actually serve the same function, which makes my life easier.

I'm pretty excited about Snezhnaya, and to meet the last 3 Harbingers: Pulcinella, Pierro and Pantalone. Especially Pantalone, I don't think he has any special powers but he has massive influence over the economy. Given that he works with Dottore I wouldn't be surprised if he was basically Epstein levels of evil and influential. I think he was responsible for the Credit Coupons and they've had the Geo gnosis for a while now so he'd be a pain to deal with.
