And i'll say genshin system is fucking terrible too but unless you want to tryhard abyss you can get a decent set once and ignore it. In WuWa you'll get echos by exploring so casual players cant pretend it's not there. Time will tell.
I think it might be an improvement for the simple fact that you can still grind stuff (to a degree). for good or bad once you do your daily chores in genshin, maybe done your artefact route (which gets tedious fast) there simply isn't much else you can do. being able to possible grind for the last top 5% of BIS even if you don't need it could work for a lot of people. also no 48/72h respawn (although converting ore into weapon exp is capped for some reason). farming the exp for echos and tuning them will be the main bitch thing tho, since it needs more materials than genshin.
hint: you can buy some upgrade stuff at the blacksmith, saves you some resin waveplate to upgrade chars/weapons at lvl 40 (not sure it refreshes or is a one-time thing).
I will say I really like the music so far
best/worst part about wuwa is that it triggers my nostalgia for ToF hard, sea of flame with the broken skyscrapers feels like it's literally taken from ToF.
I also gotta admit, the other post was a bit harsh. the problem with ToF isn't the story or gameplay, it really was the shitty tuning of numbers and some game systems - like there is no good argument for having "free" characters be shit. it's not a "lost sale" or whatever some retards might believe, if people like the game enough to keep playing they inevitably gonna spend money or not, how many chars they already have doesn't matter. anyone just needs to look at fucking genshin which makes billions as a waifu-collector.
and playing wuwa makes me remember stuff from ToF I haven't thought about in literal years ffs, like it's music.
also this which if you played the story to a certain point and didn't know about it before really hits on another level (not a mashup, it's an ingame song together with all the fireworks):
I'm a sucker for purpose-made vocal tracks, that's usually an extra effort
>machine gun gorou
do tell. after i pulled gorou i quickly abandoned him in my roster because i assumed he's chained to only being useful in mono geo teams, and even though i do have a fabulous ningguang, a decent itto, and a passable zhongli, i enjoy fucking around with elemental reactions too much.
he is, or at least 3/4 geo. if you look at the skills he boosts DEF and geo damage while sucking crystals, so you want at least someone that triggers crystalize
*cough* kuki for heals and to complete the gang EDIT: the succed crystals might also heal, can't remember. think it's locked behind constellations or ascension tho. ning works but she doesn't scale on DEF, so less optimal. gorou is basically made for itto (or noelle, but not a fan of her timings), combine it with john lee for the shred and shield, shit just gonna melt (or albedo since he's DEF/GEO too).
dunno where machine gun gorou comes in, maybe with favonius bow while fishing for crits, but iirc there's no geo infusion for bows (yet) which means you do physical damage, and without superconduct (like diona + fischl) it's nerfed even further.
