I've already listed my favorites, but special mention goes to Fischl, I don't use her in any team because I only have room for one archer and that's Ganyu and her long range frag grenade launcher, but Fischl's high school theater kid delusions are amazing to experience. I hope she returns for the summer event in 4.8
u can use her pet bird to dab on niggaz

So I tried WuWa. Got the healer child from my beginner draws and am hopefully close to somewhere where I can just say fuck the story I'm going exploring.

I will say I really like the music so far
I've actually been really enjoying WuW so far just for the much better movement, better combat with dodges and parries, a MC that actually speaks (and not the gremlin Parimon all the time), a intro/test area for each character you unlock that explains their skills, and with the promise of the devs adding in a "skip" button a way to punt the story when needed.

Most of the story skip is in, they just changed from an icon to a huge Skip button. I'm also enjoying the puzzles, they feel more like Star Rails over Genshin and take a smidgen of brainpower to do.

I played from release to just before Inazuma release before I got burned out, and came back a few times over the years, but I can never really get back into it. I did manage to get through the Sumeru release quest at which point I stopped again. While the story does have great beats, I just couldn't put up with the unskippable nothing or pure exposition conversations, followed by Paimon repeating the entire conversation to me, but in terms understandable by retards.
>not playing for paimon noises
the paimon thing is overrated imho, but you also got to remember it's a phonegame first and foremost (or at least written as one), it's assumed people are doing something else while playing, get distracted asf. inazuma was also pretty rough and a notorious low point for the writing (especially the later acts where they just wrapped everything up in like a single patch)
like I said if you stick to the minimum you need to unlock stuff (and mihoyo made even that easier where you can skip whole quests and NPCs don't lock them anymore) it's really only 1-2 hours every few weeks, if any. think I haven't done any story content since 4.3 or something.

If you do normal attacks with Fischl, you're playing her wrong.
only if you care about abyss. I've been playing rambo fishl so much before yoimiya was even teased and I finally got her in her rerun that I made 2/3 of level 89 (I cap chars at 89 so the exp still has some use)

I've just passed that part and unlocked dailies/world bosses/battlepass, but during that villain introduction I almost picked the "Shut up, we're fighting now" option. I really want to see how they've implemented co-op but nobody in my group is close to unlocking co-op yet.
co-op unlocks pioneer level 22, and act 5+6 are apparently an improvement (according to reddit, so take it with a grain of salt). en dub in the beginning seems to be pretty bad, but kuro already promised changed for the future (they use the same british studio as ff14/16).

I can vouch for at least the opening of act 5. All of the scenes with Aalto and Encore are actually really good. Don't ever bother with ENdubs on weeb games, so I can't say anything about that.
I'm sure the opening is awful because it was speed-rewritten in six months because chinks couldn't deal with all of the jade beauties not instantly sucking the MC's dick as soon as they meet him.

I progressed far enough to unlock co-op and unlike the times immediately after Genshin updates there was no flood of people attempting to join my session for my materials. Still haven't actually tried co-op yet as all of my gaming group is at a lower pioneer level than I am plus I got a little distracted by the event and WW's version of Spiral Abyss. It's similar enough though it uses a unique energy per character system which necessitates two full teams for clearing everything after the first four challenges...which I don't have yet because I ran out of resin after farming talent/weapon materials.

did she learn from machine gun Gorou?
>machine gun gorou
do tell. after i pulled gorou i quickly abandoned him in my roster because i assumed he's chained to only being useful in mono geo teams, and even though i do have a fabulous ningguang, a decent itto, and a passable zhongli, i enjoy fucking around with elemental reactions too much.

You only need Noelle, she is the battle maid of our hearts

And i'll say genshin system is fucking terrible too but unless you want to tryhard abyss you can get a decent set once and ignore it. In WuWa you'll get echos by exploring so casual players cant pretend it's not there. Time will tell.
I think it might be an improvement for the simple fact that you can still grind stuff (to a degree). for good or bad once you do your daily chores in genshin, maybe done your artefact route (which gets tedious fast) there simply isn't much else you can do. being able to possible grind for the last top 5% of BIS even if you don't need it could work for a lot of people. also no 48/72h respawn (although converting ore into weapon exp is capped for some reason). farming the exp for echos and tuning them will be the main bitch thing tho, since it needs more materials than genshin.

hint: you can buy some upgrade stuff at the blacksmith, saves you some resin waveplate to upgrade chars/weapons at lvl 40 (not sure it refreshes or is a one-time thing).

best/worst part about wuwa is that it triggers my nostalgia for ToF hard, sea of flame with the broken skyscrapers feels like it's literally taken from ToF.

I also gotta admit, the other post was a bit harsh. the problem with ToF isn't the story or gameplay, it really was the shitty tuning of numbers and some game systems - like there is no good argument for having "free" characters be shit. it's not a "lost sale" or whatever some retards might believe, if people like the game enough to keep playing they inevitably gonna spend money or not, how many chars they already have doesn't matter. anyone just needs to look at fucking genshin which makes billions as a waifu-collector.

and playing wuwa makes me remember stuff from ToF I haven't thought about in literal years ffs, like it's music.

also this which if you played the story to a certain point and didn't know about it before really hits on another level (not a mashup, it's an ingame song together with all the fireworks):
I'm a sucker for purpose-made vocal tracks, that's usually an extra effort

he is, or at least 3/4 geo. if you look at the skills he boosts DEF and geo damage while sucking crystals, so you want at least someone that triggers crystalize *cough* kuki for heals and to complete the gang EDIT: the succed crystals might also heal, can't remember. think it's locked behind constellations or ascension tho. ning works but she doesn't scale on DEF, so less optimal. gorou is basically made for itto (or noelle, but not a fan of her timings), combine it with john lee for the shred and shield, shit just gonna melt (or albedo since he's DEF/GEO too).

dunno where machine gun gorou comes in, maybe with favonius bow while fishing for crits, but iirc there's no geo infusion for bows (yet) which means you do physical damage, and without superconduct (like diona + fischl) it's nerfed even further.

u can watch guides on Yt. :)
machine gun gorou exists, and mihoyo Never patched it out. with a controller + attack animation cancels, gorou bypasses the game's intended attack speeds, lel

The other day I finally finished leveling Fischl from 80 to 81 without using EXP items, only the EXP dropped by enemies, commissions, etc. It's taken since November 2022, probably averaging an hour of gameplay a day, with Fischl being one of my most-used characters. I can't explain why I did it.

Whats your guys' favourite characters? Big fan of Ayato and Itto myself
Honestly, Paimon. I kind of understand the hatred people have for her, but I still think she's really funny, and I think her English VA is incredible. For playable characters, probably Noelle and Beidou. They carried me through Mondstat and Liyue when I was still new and terrible at the game, and their hangout events are really cute and wholesome.

Managed to 12* the DoT purefiction for the first time ever, feels good. It was only 61k and second team died but i'll take it.

I have argenti but since i wanted to use Robin Clara sounded like a better idea and god bless, her build is garbage but everyone synergized so great it somehow worked out. Pela basically didnt do shit other than generate stacks for acheron, who still isnt fully built but killed enough enemies thanks to ruan mei. Man, i REALLY need to get black swan.

Nevermind, the Aalto and Encore scenes in chapter 5 of WuWa were good, then it goes back downhill in chapter 6 with John General Man and his wuxia soldiers in pajamas battling the ancient evil while blue bitch throws an entire recipe for Auntie Xiangfeng's kung pao chicken at me every time a cutscene starts.

I know these ching chong ganes rip each other off all the time, but the similarities between WuWa, Genshin and HSR characters makes you go hmmm.
