Nothing wrong with doing a few throwaway pulls to get a 4*, Widsith is on there and maybe you do get lucky on Homa in the process. Its a waste heavily investing into any one weapon banner though, getting to pity should be spread out over a bunch and a long period of time, longer than pity on standard banner takes I find.

Naisu. Jelly of people rolling on the new HT banner. If you get basically any of the featured 4-stars I'd consider that a good pull, all 3 of them are good.
The weapon banner isnt bad either. Sac Sword is on there and I heard those new weapons that scale off of burst cost are actually pretty good.
 
My younger brother got Hu Tao yesterday around 82 rolls. I told him to stop rolling and save but the prick kept doing and today he got another one in like 5 rolls! AAAAAA. Then my mid brother got Jean from standard banner today too! AAAAAAAA.

Why do they keep winning??? I'm so scared for the eventual standard 5* i'll get, i'm already feeling it, it's gonna be keqing again or a skyward spine, not even skyward pride cause they know i'd use that on diluc regardless.

If you're F2P then i dont recommend rolling on weapon banner at all since stacking pity on limited banner the best investment you can do. I got homa on 7 rolls which might sound like fucking great but dont take me as a good example worth following. I saw someone on reddit saying gacha is cruel because they saved so much and got a skyward sword on weapon banner. Told them they were dumb for rolling as f2p and got downvoted. Live and learn.

If you have +90 saved, i'll say roll 20-30 at best for the miracle, if you got it you got it, if you dont give up. Just reminder that next banners will probably be Albedo + Itto, then Xiao + someone so if you wanna get one of them dont do it.

The new weapons are apparently op as hell, at R1 and 310 energy (raidenational) the new spear already gives more burst dmg (37.2) than The Catch and (allegedly) outdamages it by r2. They're banner limited tho so only whales are realistically getting multiple copies.

What the hell. Took this advice and just pulled the banner another 3 times and got Mona and Bennett.
Glad I didn't go on the weapon banner, but also probably used up all my luck for the rest of the year. This banner so far has been exceedingly good to me.

It`s a great banner in general, if i didnt already have Diluc and guarantee i would've rolled on it already. Diona and Sayu are very useful and thoma is looking like the second best shielder after zongli.

Weapon banner is not worthy for f2p because you lose the path points by the next banner meaning you lose you entire "guarantee" if you dont actually have 3 pities worth of gems (240 worst case scenario). It's actually a genius (greedy) strat since players who miss the weapon they "pathed" will feel coerced to spend money to not waste the path points they already built. Really wakes the gambling addict in you lol.

Also, godamn be careful when rolling on the banner if you already have the 5*. My brother was "building pity" for ayaka and accidentally got Kazuha C1 early which he hated it, but later got over it since his C1 is so good anyway. You got lucky again and also have guarantee now so only roll again if you dont mind getting spooked by the banner's 5*.

to be fair it depends when you get the 5*, if you're on 50/50 pity anyway and get it in the first 20-30 rolls you can pretty much consider it a "free" 5* since it didn't really mess with your pity or set you back a large amount of primos. least that's how I see it.
you could also consider it a long term "investment" for chars you want constellations of - instead of dumping possibly another 180 rolls into the same banner for another constellation just wait for the re-run (which can take a while tho) which probably will have much better conditions (either hard pity, built pity or both).
 
For as much as I tried to fight the daily login/dripfeed structure that Genshin has at first I do kind of like just coasting through 15 minutes of content a day (in the Emblem mines now. My Xiangling desires more crit rate). Gives me something to look forward to, especially when I let a lot of resin/condensed resin build up
Also I think the livestream is this friday plus daylight savings time made server refresh happen an hour earlier for me which is nice.
 
Yeah, i have a bit of a love/hate relationship with genshin content. On one hand i hate the resin for not letting me grind all day, on the other the resin is probably the only thing keeping me safe from burn out or addiction. It's a good system, not enough to make me buy a battle pass or anything tho.

btw the next stream was announed and they straight up show Albedo

It seems risky, who knows one day Mihoyo changes something and just like that your 100€ Acc is gone.
Im considering it because playing with higher Frames might improve my Ability to dodge more effectivly.

Just for information, genshin actually has a 120 fps option on the new iphones and it's possible PC will get 120 fps eventually.

Also relax man, dodging is a lot more about spacing, timing and positioning than frames. It's not like a pvp fps where spotting your enemy first is a massive game changer, all enemies have ultra telegraphed attacks so you can always see them coming already.

Kind of depends on how new you are and how much you want to grind. There's no way to grind infinitely for them or anything. Generally just hit every piece of content the game has to offer. If you want to grind achievements then I recommend doing it with paimon.moe's tracker. Aside from obvious exploration/overworld stuff theres hangouts, spiral abyss, and serenitea pot companionship sets.
If you're new though just doing every quest you see and activating every domain + teleport point on the map will give you a good amount
