For whales/hardcore who want to wring every little last bit of DPS out of their characters? Yes.

For every one else? Probably not but Miyo gotta follow the money.

Whales and hardcore players dont complain about abyss tho, only those who fail and call it a lame dps check (which it is, tbf) and wish for some different type of endgame. Besides, anyone who "invests" money for 50-150 extra gems every 2 weeks deserves to be memed on.

This lab is the reverse of abyss, in the sense that it has no time limit but everyone has a ton of health and you have dozens of rooms meaning safe long term comps are way stronger than raw dmg comps (kokomi suddendly becomes top tier). People will just complain it's boring and takes too long to beat instead.

It's not like the event didnt have it's fair share of bullshit either. Imagine playing for 30 minutes but then your kokomi gets cursed and dies before the pyro hipostasis fight. They can remove the random buffs but then it becomes a slog that is even more boring to retry.

Stupid noob question, but if you don't do AR Ascension missions, but get exp, would it carry foward when you do the Ascension mission later?

I believe it does. My brother was AR 25 and didnt know how to raise world level, when he finally did days later he turned AR27 automatically.

Edit: I dont recommend waiting to ascend tho unless you're stuck on a main story boss fight (childe?) or REALLY underleveled. You get a lot more drops and better leylines and by WL 5 (AR40) you can manually change it at will.

Oh thank god, you need 4500 to complete AR25, I have 4715. I don't wanna waste exp & the Ascension mission is very high level (My strongest character is LvL 31, the weakest boss is LvL 37).

yeah you'll be fine, just don't do what i did and let it accumulate too much, i tended to instantly jump to the next world level and i wasn't ready for that at all lmao

that's why you level kaeya, then you can just laugh about the electro hypostasis at the end. bring a healer and it's usually cheese since there's no time limit iirc.

smart play is to put in stuff the sweaties can jerk themselves off over, but keep the rewards for everybody. I'll drop it when mihoyo goes fullretard and requiring c6+r5 to beat event stuff to squeeze out more money from whales (they're kinda drifting in that direction but it's only nameplates for now).

I'll never understand why devs think long = good. there is no reason not to split it up, then adjust it per piece. instead of one boring 30 minute slog you turn in 2x 15 or even 3x 10, it's still the same amount but way less boring and tedious.
at least you could save your progress and port out, and endurance become more important than the usual ungabunga dps-race, but still.

Lol, I'm not even ready for WL1 & I'm playing it since 4 days.

Edit: Scratch that, opened the game for a whim & played some bosses, unlocked some waypoints, & the Qingyun Peak Statue. I have suddenly around 6k exp. My gameplay is probably doomed.

Edit 2: Fuck, it's 7k now. I unlocked the bird sky island thing & upgraded a statue. How did I get this lucky when I don't need to be?

That's what I'm doing lol. The only way I kill Mitachurls are Kaeya's Frostgnaw & Beidou's Tidecaller. The only "extra" I have now is Geo MC, which I didn't even knew was a thing until 2 days ago.

I have yet to complete the Prologue to get Barbara, which I very much need, I even have the Dragon Slayers Book ready. And the 4* Bow.

Edit: Looking online, the stage 5 labirynth enemies have (allegedly) 4x more hp meaning the hounds have +1.2 mil hp which is more hp of azdaha. Is this the endgame content people wanted? Cause i feel like people would bitch about it more than abyss.
I'm somewhat mixed, because while I agree with you that they overloaded the HP pools, I also had way more fun with the last floor of the labyrinth than the rest of the event, even without the rewards. The primary issue I have with Genshin's endgame right now is that the best way to flex your teams is either through Abyss or the occasional combat-centric event, like Hyakunin Ikki. Abyss is okay for the most part but Floor 12 usually ends up being an obnoxious DPS check and depending on your account, requires that you build certain characters to deal with whatever abritrary thing they throw at you. (HP sponge Maguu Kenki, teleporting Ruin Sentinels, unpredictable Kairagi) The labyrinth is the first time in awhile that I felt that I could use whatever characters I wanted in a tougher event because it's more important to know what they're capable of and how they synergize instead of grading them on damage capabilities. This is one of the few events where characters like Kokomi, Zhongli, and Noelle truly shine because being indestructible matters more than DPS for once.

The main difference I'd like to see is to make the dungeons more customizable to suit each player at their skill/investment levels. For example, they could make the base difficulty of each dungeon trivial so that even casual players can complete it with a little bit of effort. They could then add modifiers that affect the dungeon and enemies so people could play around and find a difficulty that's comfortable for them. (Add multiplers to enemy HP/ATK/DEF, add more perilous obstacles, create more vicious curse cards) For rewards, I'd say give out primos for completing the dungeon at any difficulty, but grant smaller boosts for tacking on more difficulty in the form of talent books, exp books, or mora, just a little something to save you some resin.

It's a double edged sword but it has value. With Kokomi (hp) and Itto (def), i think it's clear the devs want to make some tanky 5* and create new challenges for them. It also makes everyone "viable" at worst, it doesnt matter who you use as long as you survive.

Design wise, it definitely needs some improvement both for fun and variety. For starters, i think we should see what enemy we'll get before the fight and be capable of switching outside the med room. Might sound cheesy but you need coverage and this rewards you for multiple flexible characters instead of static comps that become useless if one member dies. It also needs to make you change teams so you dont win with the same supertank team all the time. Guess you can do that with wacky modfyers like all enemies starting with a cryo shield or leyline disorder effects. Otherwise, needs way more variety and risk vs reward stuff.

Long term wise, if they do it like abyss then it's not "endgame content". The real endgame in genshin is farming artifacts, abyss is a bragging rights challenge you do every two weeks. These types of long dungeons in MMOs usually offer rare or limited loot that you need to farm for days but that doesnt work in genshin since it goes against gacha. Even something like, finish it once for gems, replay and pay 20 resin for 50k gold + 5 hero wit + 5 Ore would be better than nothing.

Definitely not the end game people, even sweaties, want. Give more interesting lineups, auras, and leyline disorder gimmicks. Less restrictions (ie the electro and hydro auras) and nonsense HP bloat.
edit: a perfect example of a fun gimmick that a lot of people liked was the duos event where you swapped between like 6 duos. I would probably make it three teams of trios or four teams of duos though

so, quick question. there's a way to link an account made on google with genshin to one under mhy's thing? i did play genshin when it came out and i did log in with my own google account, but i'm sure that option isn't on the pc version.

From what i heard, linking mobile to pc is really annoying because of google and mihoyo accounts and not being able of switching later. Also you CANNOT link mobile to an existing mihoyo account, you have to create a new one.

These might help with what you're looking for. Main thing you going to the settings, account options and linking.

And done. I hope they do more interesting web events like this instead of the usual "click a button daily to get a primogem and 2 carrots" crap.

the easiest way to balance is via time investment (which they did with the scraps from the event). if you got your whale team you only need to do it once, below it 2-3 times etc.

some of the fish recipes were kinda bullshit, like i tried to make exquisite medaka like four times and every time i got one of the secret recipes instead and idek what i did to get those, seems like rng. but it was quite fun anyways, i like it very much

Finally decided to switch up my team comp - Kazuha-Klee-Ganyu is a little too overtuned - and I gotta say, having the Shogun and Yoimiya together is far more fun than it should be - who needs strategy when you can machine gun Overload reactions?

If only Electro Reactions could Crit…

>Be me
>Play the game since nearly 3 weeks.
>Use Beidou since 3 weeks cause Pirate Mommy.
>Do Sword Cemetary Quest & get in dilemma between which Claymore to make (Archaic, always Archaic. Unless it's Noelle).
>Learn she has a Hold Attack after nearly 3 weeks of playing.
>My whole way of gameplay changes.

finally do the tryouts for the rewards, decide to do another 10 rolls on the banner to maybe get thoma - get hu tao instead (at ~45 pity).
this after I spent all my pyro gems to level diluc, without a proper polearm that would fit her and c0 being kinda meh.
which means I'd have to farm prime geovishap for the drops, but then another pyro boss for the pyro gems. then either black cliff (eh) or the BP polearm - when I rather would've spend this pass on finally getting r5 serpent spine... not to mention all the rolls for c1

moral of the story: really only roll on banners you're willing to get the 5*. probably gonna level her on the side and raise her companionship with commissions.

wait till hit you level20 and unlock retribution

If you gonna use her with Xingqiu, Dragon's Bane would be good. If you not gonna use her with Xingqiu, why are you gay?

Sniping Rosaria' off Childe's first rerun is the greatest accomplishment I'll ever have in this game kek. I was at like 75 pity.
And yeah if you don't have Dragon's Bane your next best options are Deathmatch and Blackcliff for HT

problem isn't who I could pair her with, it's more that I got spooked by diluc before her, so I already got a ungabunga pyro dps, which is also already leveled with usable artifacts and weapon. hu tao I'd pretty much have to start from scratch (and then I'd probably still get annoyed missing her c1).
at least she's a fun character, although rieri's va is giving me takagi-san flashbacks.

got dragon's bane (lucky random from the standard banner I think) - but it's level 1; so on top of a char I'd have to level a weapon too.
also back to soft pity again, I swear if I get spooked on yae miko's banner...

Good Draw.png

Holy moly 2nd draw was this.
Really fighting the urge to try a few pulls for the Staff of Homa while my luck is hot, but being f2p I probably need to keep going for filling out my roster. I guess the upside of having only like 1 team that I'm using for everything is that I got lots of leveling material just lying around.
