One other thing to note is even failed runs get you points to level the ability tree between runs. A few of those can make a world of difference

Picked up that hunt Light Cone with the extra currency I got for completion which has made Seele even better.
Now I need to work out what Light Cone I want from the battle pass as I’m closing in on level 30 for that.
Praying for a +speed piece for Seele now to have her at 120 speed base for even more damage.
 
Once you can, I'd farm up one of the Crit Rate sets from Simulated Universe.

For battlepass LC's it depends on what you need, but This is me! and Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds are fantastic choices. While there are better healing LC's, I do also like the passive healing from Warmth Shortens Cold Nights.
 
@Dollar Store Sentai you get to hate me twice as much now as I got another Bronya, her E1 has helped a lot with energy management. Got Tingyun too which was the character I was pulling for when I got that second. So now I have a pretty decent selection of characters to build with.
Picked up the harmony light come from the battle pass for Bronya with Tingyun running Past and Future since Seele goes after her in turn order. Although I may swap them round since Bronya’s skill should proc the Light Cone which I think will give me more use from it.

I got to level 40 a couple of days ago and am starting to feel the pinch on upgrade materials on top of my wanting to save for Kafka and farming gear and whatever other stuff I need.

Story wise, I wish the initial story didn’t end where it did but I suppose it means that the first content patch can open strongly.
I’m amazed that a gatcha game of all things has a story and cast of characters that are likeable and have me looking forward to new content yet the latest £60 new release does nothing for me.

Bunch of leaks dropped today for 3.8 and onward:
  • Kaeya will be getting a hangout in 3.8
  • Klee and Kaeya will be getting a skin each in 3.8 (I'd post the image directly, but TOR hates me with a passion)
  • Map for the new area leaked
  • 3.8 Banners:
    • Phase 1: Eula/Klee + Mika/Rosaria/Razor
    • Phase 2: Scaramouche/Kokomi + Thoma/Yanfei/Razor
  • Concept art leaked for Arlecchino's shoe (? I don't know how this is even worth mentioning as news, fuck this game has weirdo fans) and a new Liyue male
  • TCG will be getting Kazuha, Candace and Yanfei cards
  • Focalors' weapon details: +33.1% HP
  • Lyney's weapon details: +44.1% Crit DMG

map looks kinda big, interesting that it doesn't really connect to anything. new summer archipelago maybe?
kaeya skin looks like his original, the klee one will make some waves (loli does nothing for me but it's cute ngl)
scaradouche re-run already, lol. and the 4* selection is kinda meh, age old chars most people have at c6 and with the one recent one. get ready to waste a lot of rolls.

I also expect zero QoL updates...
 
Did a 10 pull on the weapon banner just to hit that feeder bar and not waste my 100% until 4.0

Now the choice of her sig or Yelans beatstick of a crit damage

Pity was 48 when I pulled and got it early in the pulls, so I'm guessing 53 or so?

And Eula finally breaks her streak of not having a single banner since release. Jesus fuck that took forever.

Also no new characters, I think that might be a first.

cat takes HP, you can just feed her 2x pc TOTM and the new one. pro/con: hp drops among the most, but nilou wants those too, you can use the rest for dehya and the hydro set maybe works for one of the fontaine chars later (since it's the hydro nation) if you don't have/want childe. fox also can take TF, emblem or a combination of electro/ATT/ER. so not as bad as trying to get VV with EM...
what kills me is farming the bosses and both dendro dudes from the last banner + cat take some of the worst mats. at least it's not some handguards again...
the description of the spores is wrong btw, the point is to NOT activate them when fighting fungi, otherwise you'll get other drops. sucks if you like me didn't pay attention and sit on 1500+ items you don't need versus shit you have to farm for two chars (AND their fucking talent, because of course)...

eula had a rerun in 2.3 (came out in 1.5). I think the next longest was hu tao from 2.2 to 3.4. kazuha is also another notorious one where he only shows up for the summer patch.

with the appeal of catgirls and how everyone was going ape over it I halfway expected migoyo to do as usual and suddenly declare her a 5* just for kicks and fleece people's wallet. otoh given how lower energy this patch seems to be and their stunt with dehya it might not have been worth in their eyes before they blow their load with the new summer event and fontaine + archon afterwards. that new klee outfit will also spread people's wallet like goatse.

know that feel, that's why I hardly bother with it. rather spend all the resin and mora on getting every char to 89 with 9/9/9 talents.

that's why I thought about diluc and now he's the 5* with the most constellations....
 
Klee isn't on the standard banner, so I think I am safe since I never plan to pull for her. Just don't like her play style

I'd say the same, but depends on the 4* and how ok I am with possibly getting the 5* early. got hu tao this way which promptly got replaced by diluc and then yoimiya.
probably won't roll for her either, since I also got a fully build yanfei which is pretty much 4* klee, but if I roll a bit and get her for early pity which makes it a cheap 5*, might as well have the skin just in case. having klee and not having the skin would annoy me more than the other way around. but then I also prefer having more chars just for variety than constellations...
 
I started playing Star Rail about a week ago, and it's good to pass the time. Managed to get a couple of decent characters, but the ponytail dude just won't drop for me and it makes me sad.

China went ahead and shoved FFX and Star Ocean together,

It's unironically awesome, and also you don't need to spend money on the gachapon shit to finish the main quests. Very weird for a chinagame but I like it.

reminds me of the 100+ pulls without a single candace (the only character I wanted), then get showered this banner with almost zero doubles...
