While i'm not that sure about Xinyan, i'm pretty sure Kaeya is not black. He's from khaenri'ah, which i think it's based on Atlantis.

His skin color is more close to of a indian person rather than a black one. The reason the genshin fandom seems to think he's black is because this fanbase is full of 14 year old american girls who actually never saw a black person before, and they seem to think that every skin color that is under white by like, 1 hue, is black.
Xinyan is from Liyue a country that takes inspiration from old china, and is just tanned.
All these countries are not real places despite taking heay inspirations from them so we can't really apply real world nationalities to them because they're from fake countries that aren't even like practically 1 to 1 shit for potential royalties shit like how sonic or mario will sometimes have a world named some shit like "spagonia" (spain) and " new donk city" (NYC) . English dub xinyan inexplicably has a fucking yeehaw ass voice and it's the most jarring and funny thing seeing it come out of a character that's blatantly asian inspired.

ToF is an open world RPG with anime-styled 3d models, nicknamed the “Genshin Killer”, with Genshin streamers rushing to play it.

People are accusing it of plagiarizing Genshin, with others saying that ToF is better because it’s “not racist”.

i think the worst part isn't even the plagiarism, i've seen people say the company was giving out the national ids of dead chinese people for foreigners to playtest the game. take it with a grain of salt because reddit

You know for a game that's about collecting and showing off your waifus this community has some of the most gayest and catty drama I ever seen.

To be fair, waifudom is already equal to faggotry so this is to be expected. Genshin is just more blatant because it is the obvious gacha on the market. The other gacha "games" are more obscure in this shit.

Oh joy, another "Destiny Killer" scenario.

"ToF better because Mihoyo waycist" are the words of someone who's never experienced any actual racism.

I really don't get when they say Genshins gacha system is the worst don't most gachas not even have a pity system?

I really don't get when they say Genshins gacha system is the worst don't most gachas not even have a pity system?
A lot of those kids only play Genshin in terms of gachas, and they don't have any sort of will power for anything but bitch on twitter or spend their parents' money, they don't have the attention span to level up on their own, so anything that actually forces them into putting a tiny bit of effort is suddendly the worst among the worst.

I really don't get when they say Genshins gacha system is the worst don't most gachas not even have a pity system?
It's definitely not the worst, but I still wouldn't exactly call a good system. The other gacha game I tend to compare Genshin to is Azur Lane, which has a mostly better gacha system due to how the gameplay rewards player activity.
For instance, while Azur Lane may have no pity system outside of specific events, the rates are much, much better. A 5* in Genshin has a 0.6% rate (90 pity, and potentially a 50% chance as to whether or not you get the character you want) whereas in Azur Lane you have a 7% to pull from the Super Rare pool, with event characters having increased odds compared to non-event characters. Pulls are much easier to farm in Azur Lane, requiring a specific resource and the general currency and both can be easily farmed and stockpiled for later use (the specific resource in particular will become a non-issue after a few months of play). Genshin, on the other hand, drastically slows down the pace of wishes once the world has been explored and everything possible has been done. Without paying, basically one wish in a bit less than three days (60 primogems per day, wish is 160, not counting events or abyss which give around 3-4 wishes per run, so let's say around 22 wishes per month, with Welkin Moon bringing that up to around 39-40 wishes per month). In Azur Lane, it is not uncommon to farm 10 or more pulls per day at minimum.

Both games encourage pulling repeats of characters for improvements, but Azur has generic enhancement units that work for all characters of that tier that you can acquire in various methods (limited farming/weeklies/login). Genshin does not. You must brave the gacha for constellations/refinements; you have no other option.

Both gachas are going to mostly give you the equivalent of vendor trash, but only 30% of the pulls in Azur Lane have no value other than being used to enhance other characters. Everything else is either desirable or can be exchanged for other currencies for more desired characters/equipment/consumables. In Genshin, however, every 10 pull is going to likely result in 7-9 pieces of trash that can only be used to level equipment and at least one 4* weapon/character (but probably not more than three).

Due to how long it takes to build up wish stockpiles in Genshin, buying crystals is encouraged due to FOMO which is the least efficient monetization method on offer. Azur Lane gives the player plenty of pulls and trends towards people buying character cosmetics instead. But if you did buy more pulls anyways...11 or 22 pulls for $10 versus Genshin's 12 pulls for $30.

TL;DR - Genshin's wishes after a certain point aren't farmable outside of dailies/events/abyss/content updates. Azur Lane's wishes are always farmable and more likely to give you what you desire even with the much larger character pools. In Azur Lane, so long as you keep farming you will get what you want eventually. Genshin can eat up your entire wish stockpile and still fuck you over by going high pity twice and losing the 50:50 (this is how I almost missed Ayaka and didn't get Raiden the first time around) and you have no means to quickly farm more wishes outside of a credit card as it will take months to rebuild your stockpile.

Addendum - Azur Lane's premium currency is also farmable, to a degree.
I've heard people compare Genshin's gacha very favorably to FGOs, but I don't play the later so I have no idea.

Genshin’s gacha system is far from the worst. The game itself gives players a lot of free primogems (abyss cycles, world quests, achievements, hangouts quests, events, story).

Most of the people who say this either:
1. Spend primogems on every banner
2. Do not farm primogems outside of commissions and then complain when they barely have anything saved up for their beloved upcoming 5* character
3. Only played 1-3 gacha games

Genshin attracted a lot of gacha newbies so this has been a community complaint since 2020. It’s just that most players either left or got used to it.
Genshin has a far more generous pity system than other gachas I've seen.

Boosted chances of a 5* beginning starting at the 75th roll and a guaranteed 5* at the 90th if soft pity hasn't activated, with the next 5* afterwards being guaranteed rate up if you lost 50/50 the first time? AND it carries over between every banner?!

A lot of people would actually kill to have that system in other gachas.

Let's compare that to other gachas, shall we?

FGO (Pokemon but with historical/mythological figures, featuring character designs that would make the average Genshin twitter user cry every buzzword known to man) for example finally got a pity system in the JP servers earlier on January, but it's still dogshit (guaranteed 5* after 330 rolls, does not carry over to later banners). As of this post, the NA servers still have to wait roughly two years for a pity system that caters way more to whales than F2P and/or low spenders.

Arknights (Tower Defense with magic rock cancer) on the other hand has pity buildup that begins if you go 50 rolls without getting a 6* unit (after the 50th roll, each subsequent roll has the 6* rate increased by 2%). However, you're not guaranteed a rate up and the pity does not carry over if you are rolling on a limited banner.

The fact that Genshin players have the gall to complain about gacha rates sucking says volumes of how the game truly is baby's first gacha.

TL/DR Genshin toddlers are absolute retards for complaining about their gacha rates and/or system

I've heard people compare Genshin's gacha very favorably to FGOs, but I don't play the later so I have no idea.
FGO has got to be the worst in terms of gacha system that I have played. There is no pity system, though I recall you being able to "spark" (after spending an ABSURD amount of money, not even whale status, leviathan.)

It's been quite a while since I played it, but they are pretty stingy with their currency rewards and the rates are SUPER low. You will often get spooked 2-3 times on a rate up banner before getting what you want, and that is, if you have even managed to save enough to pull that much.

I am finding a lot of the ToF complaints from Genshin players hilarious though, their moral grandstanding is making me giggle a bit.

Especially the plagiarism stuff, like yeah, some things have obviously been lifted from Genshin, but Mihoyo is not innocent of this at all.

Other one being broken dialogue, did these people play Genshin on launch? I remember one of the massive complaints at the start was the dialogue/voices missing.

I really don't get when they say Genshins gacha system is the worst don't most gachas not even have a pity system?
The focus with genshin is more on fun elemental reaction gameplay than gacha which makes the gacha shit that basically pays for the free to play pricetag attatched to it. having a pity system just adds to the whole experience. It doesfeel a bit stingy attimes with the rng comparedtoother games , I've gotten the 4 stars every 10 wishes but barely any between and I've done a fuckload of them despite paying 0 money on most all of them. The few times I felt like actually paying a little it felt no different, so these people's complaints are literally just tied to regrets over their fucking whaling lmao.

There's some voiced bits and non-voiced bits in the game, I don'tremember there being dialogue missing at any point when I played though there was one glitched out cutscene instance where it played the audio that would play if I had selected the female character instead of the "not link" guy clearly originally intended as the protagonist if you view the cutscenes side by side and the general designs of the characters, as well as the splash screen when you boot up the game on console. Genshin twitter apperently bitches every time the Aether guy shows up in the trailers like they REALLY hate him being the MC for some reason from the out of context shit I've seen of their meltdowns. I know that's not related to the audio glitch thing but it just reminded me.

FGO when the male avatar gets used over the female avatar too.

This is why Arknights is current best for me, it's still low key enough that the fandom is not overrun by retards on twitter.

I've heard people compare Genshin's gacha very favorably to FGOs, but I don't play the later so I have no idea.

Having a better gacha system than FGO is like saying you're smarter than Chris-chan or have a more dignified job than DSP. It's a bar ridiculously low and kind of sad when you really stop to think about it. FGO's gacha is really bad.

Tower of Faggotry is kusoge as fuck and top eurojank, but I don't see how it's less racist than genshit. It's more like the developers didn't risk pissing off random twitterfaggots by basing in game shit on real life shit. Like the indigenous dances of the hilichurls, or the music in sumeru. Incidentally, why weren't these faggots crying about the sterotypical as fuck YOOOOOOO-tier music in inazuma? Is it less racist because japs have more privilege? Twittards gonna twittard, trying to understand and apply logic to these chucklefucks is pointless.

I assume it's either because their only exposure to Genshin is 15 second videos with added random trash music that pushes the limits of their attention span or the few that have actually played the game have their own music blasting away 24/7 and have never actually heard Genshin's soundtrack (which is frankly really good for a mobile gacha game).
