I think IYO is great but I don’t see the recent hype of people saying she’s like on an all time run and possibly the best wrestler on earth. I’m saying this here because maybe someone will actually discuss it here while on multiple other sites Iyo fans would rage to no end. She wrestle the same style and quality as many other joshi.
Well your first problem is watching joshi.
But seriously I haven't watched any wrestling in years, but just common sense will tell you that Iyo doing that style in a company that isn't filled with 30 other look-a-likes doing the same thing makes her stand out more to the majority casual audience in WWE. Which is going to lead to more hype behind her as more people start to like her.

Stephs in the Hall of Fame next year

Stephs massive rack in the Hall of Fame in 2027
You mean Steph's massive rack covered in a burka, unless they do the HoF here before they fly over. It would make sense for them not to do the usual full week of events while they're in Saudi Arabia and just do the one or two nights and get the fuck out. Anyways back to Stephanie in the Hall of Fame if that's real, who wants to bet they're going to make a huge deal about honoring a woman in Saudi Arabia as an example of their "progress" like how the first Crown Jewel had packages showing that women can drive now? And of course Stephanie has to put herself in that spotlight asthe greatest woman to ever woman.

How many stars on average will this shit show get from Dementia Dave, I wonder.

Mr Anderson/Kennedy showed up in TNA recently. Not sure if it was just a brief appearance, or if it means he will have a small run, but it was nice to see the guy who is arguably one of the biggest What Ifs, in modern wrasslin.
I guess it depends on how his tag match with Maclin vs Kazarian and Jake Something goes.

... yes, his name is literally Something. Don't ask.
Has there ever been an instance of on screen heel authority figures regularly competing in matches? I don't mean like Vince occasionally sacking up to fight Austin, I mean like being active wrestler on the roster while playing the evil boss gimmick. You can do one or the other, you can't do both.
Savio Vega pulled it off pretty well in the early 2000's in IWA of Puerto Rico.

All of them. :shit-eating:

Meanwhile, on AEW...

Wait this happened post match? Lol wtf.
- AJ/Punk vs Becky/Seth: AJ hasn't wrestled in a decade so keeping that mind I thought she was okay. The match went about as expected, but fuck me it went way too long.
It's classic wrestling 101. Building up the anticipation for AJ getting the hot tag. Sometimes it's less exciting for the home audience but the crowd was hot for it.

Eddie Kingston always surprises me with how bad he is. In a sea of workrate dudes he stands out as everything the AEW wrestler is supposed to oppose to, he can't wrestle worth a shit and gets gassed taking a couple of steps in the arena like he's doing his best Jey Uso impression. No looks, no moves, not even a good promo, just the dregs of pro wrestling personified.

I swear Eddie Kingston used to be better. Not amazing, but passable. Now he looks and wrestles like he should be at your local shitty indie fed holding shows at the flea market in front of 8 people. He had a good match with Gabe Kidd at a NJPW Strong taping back during the pandemic, and Gabe was still pretty green at that point. But then when he was in a G1 Climax tourney a few years later he had regressed and was just copying moves from the AJPW pillars to zero crowd reaction.

Jake Something is a pretty good big man. Kind of reminds me of a mix of young Kane and Lance Archer. He had the goofy last name from when he was in a heel group with Cody Deaner if I remember right. AEW passed on signing him a while back because Tony hates big men.

Eddie is 43 and has been wrestling since 2002.

He's like a lot of the AEW roster: beat to fuck but still able to occasionally work through that to have a good or maybe even great match.

I feel bad for Giulia, She is getting wasted on Smackdown , being US Women's champ and having another meh reign, such a waste of a great talent. They need to move more decent women to Smackdown (move Kairi or Asuka or someone of that caliber and give her good feuds).

I don't know what they've been trying to do with Giulia since bringing her up to the main roster. She was doing well in NXT and had more to do there.
There's just nothing going on in the SmackDown women's division in general. The main title is stuck in the Nia Jax and Jade Cargill vortex. Meanwhile the women's US title is pure death when its main contenders are fucking Michin and B-Fab.
I have it in my head that Giulia could be brought over to Raw by Asuka to be her new partner once the split with IYO and Kairi happens. Then by WrestleMania the story can be worked where we get a fatal four way between them or to a tag team title match. Really anything would be better for Giulia than the bullshit they're having her do now.

Cole has always been shit and has been propped up by his co-commentators for his entire career.

WWE keeps him around because the one thing he is very good at is getting their chosen buzzwords, promos and nicknames in. The dude reads the prep sheet and drums that stuff into the TV audience.

I don't know if he was a radio guy at any stage but he has a very similar skill set.
Thank you. I refuse to ever treat Cole like he's some kind of legend just because he's been around for 20 years.
