This a lot of Gen Z wrestling fans on twitter were all crying about Wrestlepalooza falling on the same day as All Out, really just goes to show that the Smark Movement just looks for things to dunk on WWE for literally anything it’s like you don’t even watch WWE so it’s just pro-AEW tribalism because they know AEWs numbers are going to look bad even going up against a B level WWE PPV

AEW is always going to be on defense. They simply don't have the means to fight against WWE at this scale. WWE can out of nowhere shit out a random PLE with one month of build to draw attention away from AEW and they can't do a damn thing about it. AEW fans can't say the two companies are competing then play the victim when WWE decides to compete. WWE is constantly signing new deals to make even more money and always have some kind of collaboration with a sports league or something mainstream to at least have their name out there. I don't necessarily see that as a problem in and of itself. The issue for me is that he still acts as if he's in any way a threat to WWE. He treats WWE's practices against AEW as personal digs issued directly from Hunter himself, when it reality it's just WWE doing what it does in squashing anyone who doesn't want to play ball with them. I'm sure the higher ups get an occasional giggle at Tony's expense but they'd do the same to any other number two company in America.

At this point Khan needs to do one of two things. Either acknowledge that his company will never be able to match WWE in scale and focus on just being an alternative like TNA initially started out as, or he can try to compete and do what's best for the growth of his company. No more deathmatches on cable television, no more exorbitant contracts, no more promoting ratings killers just because their his fweinds.

As someone who watched Toni Storm during her Stardom days, I know that was 7-8 years ago but she is so dumpy looking with a bad case of thunder thighs these days. She's MUCH better in the ring, though. The thing that bothers me about Toni now is that so many of her promos have "MY VAGINA!" moments like she's some god awful female comedian from the 00's and I can't get over that cringe.

Yeah, I'm not one to doompost and I've repeatedly said that I believe AEW existing is an overall net good for wrestling fans, whether you like what they're providing or not, but this isn't an especially great situation to be in for Tony.

TKO is well practiced in dealing with competitors -- their history dealing with Pride, Strikeforce, Bellator, etc. speaks for itself on the MMA side of things -- and WWE themselves are no slouches at being cutthroat when they want to be.

Jokes and memes aside, Tony really needs to bolster whatever team he has.

I popped over to Reddit and one of the top things in my feed was the ESPN deal and how they apparently nuked any mention of AEW from their website.

The comments section were filled with pants shitting over how 'petty' and mean WWE is being, while some sane folks were talking about how this is par for the course for ESPN, citing shit like hockey and baseball coverage.

They really are mental retards, aren't they.
