In another example of why the Attitude Era is never coming back.
On Monday’s show, Carlito appeared in a backstage segment, and he said, “I gotta learn Chinese” after IYO SKY and Kairi Sane walked out of the frame. SKY and Sane are Japanese, so the line sparked plenty of backlash.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that, internally, the claim from at least one staff member was that the line was not scripted. This source said that they were in disbelief that it was said. Additionally, a number of people in the company were not happy that it happened. There is no word of any action or heat on anyone involved, per Sapp. The line has since been edited out of all digital clips.

Woppy is super over. Plus the random guys in the audience screaming "GIULIAAAAAAAAAAA" like they are at a joshi show is pretty funny.

i saw seething on twitter about that, Carlito is a heel for fucks sake, plenty of racist heel characters have been done in the past, Ted DiBiase being an example off the top of my head, I don't think we need a full-on second Attitude Era but these limp wristed faggots getting mad over shit like this are better served by Tony's Goyslop aka AEW
I was puzzled that Carlito would say that at first about learning Chinese but I remembered that he's a heel right now. Of course it's his job to annoy the viewers.

Hearing that people are taking offense (as always) at trivial matters like this makes me laugh.
Looks like Tony Khlawn has a chance at love now. Eh, probably not.

I've said this probably four or five times in this thread already, but it blows my mind that such a historically degenerate, vulgar, sleazy business is now expected to be a hugbox for Redditors and deranged SJWs.
Like all forms of entertainment/art, money comes in and with it follows the advertisers. Thus the thing is ruined.

My precious metal has been dealing with the hipster bringing his massive cash reserve into it for decades. Gaming is suffering with it. Its the same tale told over and over again.

Even the toddler friendly new gen era with its Saturday morning cartoon level production would be offensive to these people.

The algorithm of Youtube showed me a hidden gem today.

An AJPW OVA starring Giant Baba and the majority of the AJPW roster in the 90s, Baba is the protagonist with Rusher Kimura, Mitsuharu Misawa, Jumbo Tsuruta and Toshiaki Kawada. It shows him fighting the forces of evil, leading an evil american wrestler, including some Road Warriors ripoffs and someone who looks like Giant Kimala.

The plot is extremely God damn bizarre but the style is cute and charming, and I love how they animated Baba for an anime. The sad thing is that it doesn't have subtitles but you can slightly understand what's going on (well, the majority of it at least.)

It's a strange movie but is funny at the same time, wish they did more of this.

God she fucking sucks, I hope Tiny ties her down to a 5 year deal. Please, for all of our sake, stay in the minors.
There was a lot of hype around her early on because she was good on the mic and could be carried in the ring. However, it seems like she developed an ego and now she's the drizzling fucking shits. I think some of the early hype was also Rebel helping prop her up as part of their mean girls routine.

Let's not forget that she also has the fucking worst t-shirt of all wrestling.
