Most skillful wrestlers (the real kind) aren't tall. In pro wrestling where everyone is cooperating it obviously won't matter, but naturally tall guys like Logan Paul or Brock Lesnar who take to the sport naturally are apparently freaks and anomalies. Razor Ramone discussed in an interview once how being taller or lankier makes learning to wrestle ten timers harder because you have to maneuver so much more body around in a sport that relies on inches of clearance to maintain the illusion.
I think broadness matter more than height to be honest. John Cena is around my height, but when you see him in person he looks fucking massive because he's built like a truck.

Orton and Lesnar are both broad and actually tall.

Wrestler heights are silly. I was at a TNA house show years ago and D-Von Dudley and Abyss fought into the crowd right beside my seat and they were barely taller than me and i'm 5'9"ish.

Huge dudes otherwise though. It's hard to grasp how big some of these guys are just seeing them on TV. Foley was at the same event and he is low key a fucking giant of a man.
I can concur about Foley I saw him at a show and even from the nosebleeds it was noticeable he was a really big guy it's funny how that works how someone who doesn't have the mass yet is tall you go yeah he's not that big but when you got the combination of height and mass like say John Studd or Don Leo Johnathan they looked like someone took a normal person and hit them with a gigantism ray.

I would've guessed Abyss was legit tall. That's pretty crazy that he's not that tall

So what's the skinny on Scott Damore? Besides being married to a transgender woman and booking TNA Impact what did he do before he started booking Impact? Is he an ex wrestler?

He used to have an indy promotion in Windsor ON called Border City Wrestling. Apparently his family is loaded so that's how he can afford to do this.

Man, I’m rewatching the 99 Royal Rumble I quit match between The Rock and Mankind, and heel Rock is by far the best Rock.

“Candy ass at the corner of Know Your Role boulevard”, kino.

But idk how anyone could watch this match and not coming out of it pro heel Rock.
And Mick of course is the Hardcore Legend, so he kept up his end of the deal.

Those chair shots when Mick has his hands handcuffed behind his back, still makes me wince.
Read a few of Mick’s books (would recommend btw, at least the first 2), and he said his secret is if it looks like it hurts, it’s because it did.

I love Mick for talking to wrestling schools now, hearing the hardcore legend say you only have a limited amount of bumps in your body then you’re done, is pretty convincing.

TLDR Heel Rock piece of monkey trash jabroni cast ass boulevard Rock is top tier and and so much better than Final Boss Rock.
We got a glimpse of true heel Rock in that parking lot match with Cody, but Rock needs to channel that early energy to be interesting.

Imagine actually being even vaguely interested in this utter fucking twaddle.

Samoans are the worst thing to ever happen to wrestling. A bunch of charisma-vacuum shitters with 5 moves between the whole lot of them.

They'll run WWE into the ground if they keep pushing this shite.
Well you best get used to it. Rock is on the board of directors now and has a stake in the company. The coconut community theater isn't going anywhere.

Scott was a wrestler, booker, and trainer. From what I recall he primarily trained women and is responsible for a lot of the better in ring workers that came up in TNA during the Knocksouts era. He took over TNA's books in like 2005 and is a really big part of why the promotion is the DSP of wrestling. No matter how bad shit got he somehow found a way to keep it on tv, make sure people got paid, and secured new talent when they inevitably got poached. His career began back in the early 90s, but he hasn't been much of an in-ring worker in a very long time, mostly sticking around in a backstage role or working as a corporate authority figure.
Scott Steiner is 5'10 legit (although was billed as up to 6'4, rofl) and Rick was least 3" shorter than him (billed as 6' I think?), so Rick was probably 5'7ish, so Bron being only 5'9 is very possible

Yeah, you wouldn't think Mick is as tall as he is because he always hunches of and they usually had him in the ring with people like Taker, Austin, and Rock who are genuinely tall guys. I went to one of Mick's standup/spoken word performances a bunch of years back and the two things that stood out to me was how tall he was in real life and how he smelled like rotten eggs and gym socks.

I will say this about Bron, despite being way taller than him the guy was like twice as thick as I am. His neck was thicker than my thigh. The guy is a beast.

yeah pretty much any verison of Heel Rock is mostly good, imo he worked better as a heel, even right now, The Final Boss stuff is not as good as Corporate or Hollywood Rock but still relatively entertaining

Sami Callihan is running TNA now

Edit: I just remembered that Solomon Crowe had the worst finisher and so now I am going to make you remember.

Rock from 98-99 did his best work imo, especially his corporate champion phase.

Kairi is very good, but I like Lash Legend the Big Black Woman.
Iyo laid that double knee in stiff af right near the end. I have noticed that Iyo works a lot stiffer with black talent than she does with anybody else.

Edit: This save was ridiculously good. Recovering from a botch that bad this smoothly takes amazing ring sense.
