For a supposed golden age for WWE, I still only catch highlights or big events. Watching full weekly shows is still a giant slog, so I don't waste my time. It wasn't like that during the attitude era or ruthless aggression eras, the weekly shows were actually entertaining for the most part. I feel like people are just looking at revenue and assuming that this must be a great era just because "number go up".

Honestly its a different day and age vs the attitude/ruthless agresstion era. The focus is on clippable moments similar to streaming. The plot is there for the smarks but they focus on OMG moments for social media to get attention.
Keep a steady viewership for contract obligation. Keep socials up to hopefully get catch phrashes and shows trending. Look at the current NBA cross over and Pat Mcafee and the NFL crossover.

I do the same thing but honestly thats normal, most of the matches on weekly tv are filler, the actual wrestling is on the PPVs, I just catch the important story segments on YouTube after a RAW or SmackDown

Now I see a lot of people online and in wrestling communities trying to tear down the old Snake with what they consider the "Worst promo of all time" but in reality we the masses have been too dumb to understand the level of kino that Jake was throwing down
>Everyone over the years have attributed the "You wanna play 21? I've got 22" line as being a sign that Jake doesn't know the rules of Blackjack
>In actuality what Mr. Roberts means is that he has a .22 Caliber gun, and that even if his opponent truly has the perfect hand he will not walk away the victor because Jake is vicious and will do anything to win.
>The line "Do you wanna play blackjack? I got two of those too" is then him saying that he has two actual blackjacks, a type of crude club used to bash people
>Finally the line "You wanna play Aces and Eights? I got too many of those" is probably the most kino of them all
>Aces and Eights goes by another name. They are called "Dead Man's Hand" because it is said to be the cards that Wild Bill Hickok, a famous outlaw, was holding when he was shot dead
>Jake is then implying that he has led a trail of men who thought they could best the snake only to wind up dead at his hand over the years.
It's time to face the facts, that even while ballooned off his ass on enough drugs to kill a bull, Jake Roberts could still cut a more cerebral promo than anyone else in the history of the business.
I'm biased because Jake is my favorite wrestler of all time (his 1st WWF run anyway) but I think Jake is the best ever on the mic.

It's sad more people don't take five minutes to try and learn from the guy. A lot of people are said to be one of a kind in wrestling, but he's one of the very few I legit think that about. It goes beyond his promos, but the way he said things, the way he moved. There are actual actors that can't do the shit Jake did in front of a camera.

She's probably too good for NXT to be honest.

Also, she better pray that her WWE run isn't a bust because CMLL, NJPW and Rev Pro are pissed at her for leaving them high and dry on bookings she had with them. CMLL traditionally has no problem with their signed talent working out deals to move to other companies as long as they fulfill all of their prior commitments before leaving.

Vaquer allegedly told them that she was going to do this for them but then she basically told them to go fuck themselves once she'd inked her WWE deal and they had to vacate her titles without her putting someone over on her way out of the company and Rev Pro and NJPW have had to apologize to fans because she isn't showing up for shows they'd sold tickets to already.

She's fucked if she ever has to go back to the indies.
WWE has historically preferred talents finish dates before jumping over, so that's pretty bad on her part. What is it with South American female wrestlers and attitude issues?

He's no Jumpin' Jeff Farmer, who made the best promo ever

iirc part of this was to kneecap the FantasticaMania or whatever it was, and to get her on the WWE Mexico show

CMLL put the vacant womens belt on Willow Nightingale so that's a fairly clear signal to Vaquer that that bridge is completely burned.

Fucking over the oldest wrestling promotion in the world that has ties to various other major promotions is not a great idea when you are signing with a US sports entertainment company despite not being able to speak a word of English. Maybe she'll do great but if she doesn't then this is her gold watch run.

Spoiler: she did great last night and is going to do great in wwe. All the concern trolling about the other promotions being upset and the aew discord saying Mexican wwe fans were going to be attacked by the cartel amounted to absolutely nothing. The universe smiles upon wwe and Elords and spits on indie fans

The so-called news outlets that allegedly reported this were the ones that were personally ass-mad she signed with WWE instead of their TEW fed come to life, AEW. Maybe Kamille gave her a call and told Vaquer AEW hasn't done shit with her even though she's been under AEW contract for months now.

NJPW and CMLL are probably really fucking mad
this wasn't her no-showing a random weekly tv taping ,this was a really big fucking show for NJPW and CMLL that she bailed on, like Bret just dips instead of getting screwed on the way out to WWF
