If a manlet like Silver has Punk gassed the fuck out, he's even more out of it than I thought.

They also seem to want to turn Punk heel, which is fucking lame because it turns this into yet another Giant Douche vs Shit Sandwich.

And one more thing: Tony sweetheart, having MJF reference Punk's Golden Age ROH promos and throwing them back at his face was epic because it fit the feud, and the aspect that MJF was the CM Punk superfan younger villain to Phil's Veteran hero who wisened up some after 20 years.

Having Punk act like Brent Albright when he wanted Punk himself to shake his hand is just fucking autistic and makes Phil look like a retard. We know, you liked 2000's ROH, stop copying their angles verbatim.

I've actually not watched AEW in months, because Hangman isn't for me. I catch the odd DARK if some of the lower card names I like are on it, but even those names are disappearing quickly for NXT failures from 2019. Khan took an alternative product that reignited my interest in wrestling and seemingly lost control past-pandemic production era.
Frankly never gave AEW too much of a shot. Didn't really care about the stories, the fans are fucking unbearable, all the digs at WWE were embarrassing at best (especially after Cody went back), some of the "WWE didn't care about them, AEW will!!" wrestlers are still stuck in catering, the AEW Games thing is abysmal (Kenny having no clue what he's doing for his nostalgiafag wet dream with a has-been studio, some shitty mobile GM mode, and a crappy gambling app that's just a reskin of the exact same casino game I've seen at least five other identical versions of on the Play Store), and so on.

I'm definitely considering trying to get back into more wrasslin, but NJPW + curiosity in DDT, Stardom and possibly NOAH feels a bit too biased to Japan, any Western companies that you'd recommend? I used to watch Hoodslam, it was always a fun watch, and that's where some of the people like Shotzi or Manny came from. Haven't watched in a while though, apparently it got weird after the owner Dark Sheik went trans.

AAA is pretty accessible these days. Cubsfan has their weekly tv on his twitch live and available after the fact, their youtube is only sorta region blocked, and they've got legit ppv streams with English commentary (by guys who not only speak English but also understand AAA to a degree)

So it’s a safe assumption that it’s gonna be JAS vs BCC/Kingston and P&P in a Stadium Stampede match at DoN. Either that or Blood and Guts.
It's a steel cage blood and guts match. Hopefully with better crashmats
Except the wrestletubers show extreme bias towards AEW. Wrestletalk is one of the worst culprits of anti-WWE click bait.

I honestly get my Japanese wrestling news from a couple guys who translate into English as a means to practice the language. They're actually really good.

Edit: in regards to Williams leaving Yukes for 2K, the article mentions WWE ghosting him during the interview portion of the application for producer. I can say from personal experience that this is WWE's MO for corporate positions. I was interviewed for a position over the phone and never heard back. Several others via Glassdoor can also affirm they do this shit, and it's infuriating from an applicant standpoint. A simple "thanks, but no thanks" email would be great so I don't waste my time.
All companies do that.

Not if you reach the interview portion. Most will simply send an email saying they went with a different candidate and to try later. Some will actually call you and tell you where you need to improve.
Even if you get to the interview they will still do that. Over the past decade I've had twelve companies out of a hundred and thirty call me after the interview to tell me they found someone else. Every other company couldn't even be bothered to email me. Now I either just stick with companies I've been working with on and off for twenty years or have people contact me.

First time I've truly been excited for New Japan since the beginning of 2020.

Now if we can just quit the run-in bullshit and make EVIL and Sho fun to watch again.

Welp, looks like the Scorpio - Sammy feud is continuing. And for reasons known only to a literal cokehead, they’re trying to make Sky the Heel and Sammy the Face.

Honestly, if there’s one thing I hope that crowd continues to shit on, it’s this recycled Codyverse feud - the FTW Title is honestly is a better place than the TNT title at this point…

Unrelated edit to avoid a double post - apparently Meltzer’s saying AEW is “expected to have a major push in the Warner Media upfronts”, the shit they show to advertisers. Guess that might answer dome of those questions from The Merge

The retards will boo Sammy out of the company like they did Cody. Then they’ll pick their new scapegoat.
They’ll eventually turn on everyone in AEW until nobody is left but Omega and The Bucks sitting in a ball pit in the middle of the ring.

I hate wrestling fans with a passion. The pandemic era was actually sorta refreshing because no lame fans.
