I think turning him heel might be the only option at this point. Without Rollins around, there's nobody who's both over and who people want to see have the belt less than Reigns.
Yeah but who do you have as your top face then? Can't be Bryan because he's out injured. Cena is gone for another month, Orton is out till maina. You have nothing on both sides. Why? Because Vince buried or fucked everyone over.

Think about it, during the late 1990s if Austin was out, you had Undertaker Rock, HHH to fill that void. Hell even in the late 80s if something had happened to Hogan, you had Savage and Piper. This what everyone since 2006 started warning Vince about. You have no one at the top.

Their best bet to draw fans would put the title on taker one last time, have him hold it to wrestlemania and then drop it to someone especially if it's true of the rumors saying he plans on retiring (those rumors have been happening for the past ten years tho)

That wouldn't be a good idea. This whole thing should teach WWE they need to build new stars and not go back to well each time. Besides after SS Taker is done till maina. It would increase fan interest for a bit but Taker wouldn't be on every show and it only be a short term solution.

Implying they wouldn't stick the belt on him anyway. How many times did Brock wrestle a year when he was champ? 4? 5?

Fuck it, just have Sheamus cash in and have him walk around as champ for a month. Raw sucks, ratings suck, most things WWE proper suck right now anyways, just press the reset button with the Royal Rumble. People usually come back then, win them over with the "road to WrestleMania".

Well how do you get the belt on taker then? The plan always was that Roman was gonna win and feud till royal rumble with Rollins for it. The tourney is already underway and taker is locked in with Wyatt right now.

Plus also add in the rumors that taker vs cena is most likely gonna be the match. I mean they could go the title route but cena taking the title from taker at maina is such a bad idea and will completely derail the main event

There was a blurb online about El Rey's plans for their Thanksgiving kung-fu movie marathon (clearly different than the usual kung-fu movies all Thursday), and mentioned "Dario Cueto of El Rey Network’s “Lucha Underground” will host select films."
Have any other wrestling people done in-character movie hosting work? It seems like somebody should have hosted a monster movie marathon or something at some point in time.

IIRC, Stone Cold Steve Austin may have hosted some kind of "Tough Guy/Action movie" marathon in character to promote a WWE PPV.

Billy Gunn was fired from the WWE for steroid use :story:
More hilarious is that Billy Gunn's been competing in powerlifting and nobody even noticed.

But yeah he'll be back in WWE soon enough. He's made them look great like they actually care about their drug testing with this.

Ya he apparently failed his drug test FOUR YEARS AGO.
apparently the test was in July, and the ban is for four years
dirsheets said:
The 52-year-old former tag team champion reportedly tested positive for elevated levels of testosterone back on July 25. He had a testosterone/epitestosterone ratio of 37-1, which is off the charts compared to the 4-1 limit. He was suspended from competitive powerlifting for four years - with WWE officials completely unaware he was competing as a powerlifter until just a few weeks ago.

Generally not a fan of this stuff but it is worthy to note for historical purposes.
