I dunno. Cena's rap stuff was more of a fluke than WWE setting out to make him a big deal. But yeah, Cena was pretty solidly WWE-made. Lex Luger I guess counts, he ended up doing stuff far beyond WWF howevermuch he kinda sucked.

How about Nikki Bella?

Actually Nikki reminds me of Luger... not in how she's booked, but in that she looks AMAZING, was useless in the ring, but has gradually become a decent wrestler (though still not great). The major difference is that Nikki's a better promo.

Hate to double-post, but my enthusiasm is overpowering: as high as my expectations were for Jason Jordan & Chad Gable vs. Ciampa & Gargano, their match on the most recent NXT surpassed those expectations. One HELL of a fun and exciting match.

I hate you for making me agree with you. Nikki is decent now, but she isn't top 5. Her looks are still her advantage.

Anybody think this scandal with Snuka'll be what finally causes Vince McMahon to throw in the towel and resign? Because if those in the mainstream spend even a fraction of an effort on this story, they'll find out about the coverup.

Snuka, IIRC, is dying of stomach cancer, there's apparently talk he might not even live long enough for his trial to get started.

Given that part of him getting away with the murder originally included lies about his being all unga bunga crazy island man I'm gonna be suspicious of more claims about why he just can't possibly do things.

In other wrassle circles the subject came up: Who has WWE actually gotten over? Like, a guy who got over, wasn't already over from another company or the indies, wasn't the "the crowd won't cheer the guy we picked" fallback like Bryan or backed into a corner by the competition like Austin, or things like that?

The Rock and Brock Lesnar come into mind, but yeah they owe a lot of credit to WCW pissing off their most talented wrestlers in one way or another and ECW for having no monies.

I'd put Jericho in there as someone whose position improved massively after switching over to WWE.

He was WAY over as a heel with fans in WCW tho, just didn't get the push because LOLNASH. One of my favorite WCW memories was from Slamboree 1998:

Listen to the introductions and then fast forward to about 12 minutes in to hear one of the biggest pops in WCW history

So for anyone interested, Raw hit its second lowest non-christmas eve rating ever this week. This comes just after reaching the previous low a few weeks ago. As you know, Orton is gonna be out till atleast Maina because he fucked him his shoulder and Cena will be gone till after christmas, so things are looking shitty.

So, Seth Rollins got injured at a match against Kane in Ireland. His knee, to be exact.

There's already speculation that he fucked his knee up pretty badly (ACL tear is the big one going around rumor wise)

If so, Roman Reigns might get the title quicker then Wrestlemania...

Well that's no big deal, I'm sure a multi-jillion dollar industry leader like WWE has just TONS of stars they've been building up gradually with their broad, long-term plans for synergizing their optimal profits, right?
