Meet CMLL's new best friend:
Mistic 2.0
pronounced "Mistic Dos punto Cero" because that just rolls off the tongue so casually

I've seen people talk about the Steiners in shoot interviews and from what I hear they were incredibly capable of taking liberties with other talents, however from what I gather it wasn't a general practice of theirs to do so. They could suplex the shit out of anyone and in my mind that is almost as bad as any hard rest hold or joint manipulation.

They also stuck a pencil up someone's ass

Heard about this little oddity on the Wrestling Soup podcast. They really go into depth picking this apart, but it's pretty funny hearing Nipple H spewing disingenuous nonsense about the current product that no one who has been watching for more than 6 months could possibly buy into. She all but admits that their charity work is entirely, 100% self-motivated and done only for marketing purposes

I dunno, some may find it boring but I'm fascinated by stuff like this. It makes me so glad that I got into technical writing rather than copywriting, because I'd probably be hearing douchey marketing buzzwords like "platform-agnostic" day in and day out until my blood bleeds.

Is there a transcript somewhere? I couldn't make it through the first minute of that ridiculous "valley girl" intonation the host is using. Bitch you're the host, you're supposed to be telling people not asking them.

Not that I can find. The Experian website is a bottomless pit of nothingness.

truly struggle with the idea that Steph can mean anything good for the product. Dixie seems more capable.

The scenario we've talked about and WWE has done nothing to plan for has finally come to pass. Randy Orton injured his shoulder, right as Cena's about to take time off.

It's not yet known how bad things are, but given WWE's current streak, I imagine things are probably at the least quite shit.

Let me guess, they're just going to operate as usual (aka the main event will be Rollins looking weak to old, over the hill talent, while still somehow keeping the title, while everyone else just languishes in the undercard, except for The New Day, who are the only reason I tune into RAW anymore).

Guess Bubba Ray Dudley will have another singles main event run after all!

Just managed to watch Summerslam 2015, since I have been quite busy for the past months.
I liked it, even if:
1. Wyatt doesn't hit the Sister Abigail since Battleground or so.
2. The Stardust-Amell feud looks stupid.
3. Cena vs. Rollins was great but I still do not understand the finale.
4. I would like to see more of Alicia Fox.

All in all, it was a good show and I lolled hard at The New Day creating absolute chaos.
The cherry on the top would have been The Miz winning the Intercontinental Championship in a stupid way.

The Attitude Era was a... Unique time in pro wrestling. I don't know. I think the tooth through the nose is more memorable. Both were bad, but you didn't really see much in the toss. It wasn't a great angle.

Your right. In rewatching some old ECW stuff before that KOTR shit like this was almost common. But remember this was the first time anyone was exposed to this sort of stunt in a major company. While Hardcore matches existed long before this, that match solidified hardcore type matches in the general wrestling fan's eye. And yeah looking back the stunt maybe wasn't that impressive and the angle wasn't good leading up to the match but the fact he was thrown off the cell, climbed back up, went through it, smashed into thumb tacks and completed the match is what it is really remembered for

While I feel these points in most respects, I disagree with on one area. If anything, the angle was more brutal than people remember, what with Foley's head hitting the back of a chair on that second fall.

The stunt was and always will be awe inspiring, but I really hope we never see anything that savage ever again. Foley was far from the only guy who had incredibly violent matches and worked incredibly violent angles, and he's also far from the only guy who paid a steep price for doing such things.
