TNA is competition to AEW and is partnered with WWE so of course Cagematch neckbeards are saying it's the death of TNA
honestly, the whole product sucking in the 2010s was somewhat the result of Smarks coming back to WWE after TNA and ROH declined early in that decade, around like 2013 you notice more and more idiots trying to hijack the show and seething about how John Cena was still at the top and Daniel Bryan was not the World Champion for example, now that TNA is in a somewhat decent state, Smarks are just going to call it a WWE clone or a vassal fed to TKO, basically AEW is there only containment fed at this point, I think about how badly Smarks nearly killed WWE in like the late 2010s because Vince at that point probably wasn't mentally all there but still wanted to commit to Lesnar and Roman as a babyface while Smarks continued to violently seethe about how guys like Balor should be face of the company, as much as I fucking hate AEW at least it gives those fat fucks something to watch without spilling over into WWE

For the record, TNA putting their titles on WWE guys is stupid as hell unless some WWE titles were going to TNA guys, too. Any promotion doing that is stupid as hell
It's bitch shit. It's admitting you aren't on the same level as the people you're working with and that their guys are better than yours.

I'd like to think there's going to be a payoff besides (Insert TNA Wrestler) winning back the title(s), but I'm not going to hold my breath on it.

I find it curious that the 3 members of the System facing Darktribution worked face all of a sudden, and even Moose took losing the X Division title like a face. Idk, maybe they win the NXT tag titles, maybe Moose or Edwards knock off Oba Femi.

:optimistic:

What are your favorite Dark Side of The Ring Episodes? I will try to keep it to a top 5:

The Brawl for All. I hated it as a kid but it is genuinely fascinating, from an MMA perspective, to see how these guys actually fight.

Cocaine and Cowboy Boots. The funniest episode and it's a good light hearted break from the same old burnt out wrestler biography.

Onita's FMW. Japanese wrestling is insane.

New Jack. This made me like the guy.

The Von Erich family. Fascinating and sad. Needs to be watched along with The Iron Claw.

You'd think Vince was still in charge the way they're burying TNA. Would it kill them to give over the US title for 2 weeks? Or the women's intercontinental title? Maybe just have a more reciprocal approach to this instead of it just being one-way traffic? WWE plays hot potato with their titles anyways so it's not like they're flushing some sort of prestige down the drain in doing so. It's irritating to watch this sort of nonsense transpire.

0% chance WWE would give TNA any of its main roster titles. That's simply not going to happen ever. NXT has enough of its own belts to go around.

They should just do champion vs champion/challenger match or whatever and just make it a non-title match. It doesn't have to be for a title just because someone has the title

This is Suzume, who does not have a character who’d pull a look like this, rolling her eyes and damn near her entire head before dropping her belt. One of the most absurd clear cut I’m annoyed I’m losing entrances I’ve seen in 25 years of watching. This is 90s level I don’t fear the booker or company and want the audience to know I’m above this, Nash and HBK level petty.
To be fair the girl she dropped the belt to is a charisma vacuum, not over, can't work, and nobody understands why she's pushed so hard. I'd be pissed too.

Really good show last night. The final two matches were fantastic and the undercard was solid. Plus Andreza was on the show so that's always dimes. They also outdrew the Stardom PPV going head to head. TJPW is WHITE HOT brother.

This is a fantastic post. I hadn't considered it from that perspective, I was so focused on the mainstream/casual audience chased away by wretched and nonsensical booking plus Vince's fetishes on display.

It’s hard to come up with a fumble as bad as Cora’s. She was pushed early by Shawn. She had CM Punk in her corner. Got the implants. There has to be a more damning story behind her fall because she should be the one trying to seduce Dom.
Injury-prone and didn't improve much. She was in NXT for 4 years, they didn't see the potential anymore and moved on. I don't think there is any damning story.

She spent more time injured than in the ring and judging by the post above, is a headcase of a pretty big magnitude. No one fumbled anything, she just doesn't have it.
